Location for this role can be Houston, Katy or The Woodlands

Job Responsibilities

Primarily office-based with occasional field work
Projects include land development, site development, and public works
Draft survey projects in AutoCAD Civil3D or Bentley MicroStation
Knowledge of Trimble Business Center (TBC) is a plus
Create digital terrain models from field survey data
Review and check work for quality control
Conduct deed research
Work under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor
Identify possible problems, and conflicts, and bring them to the supervisor’s attention

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; Specialized vocational training is a plus.
2+ years of land survey experience in a Survey Tech capacity. Sr level designation will be considered depending on years of experience and skill level.
Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D is required
Knowledge of MicroStation (Inroads & GeoPak) is a plus
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and others
Willingness and ability to be based in an office and do occasional field work.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist Party Chief as directed to conduct boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
Performs a variety of routine tasks which provide familiarity with equipment, terminology, and operating procedures
Cutting brush and hammering iron and wood stakes
Abide by safety requirements
Performs routine work which does not require previous experience
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

2+ years as an instrument technician in land survey is preferred

Physically capable of cutting brush and hammering iron and wood stakes
Follow safety requirements
Knowledgeable of traffic control and safety procedures for a variety of surveying and construction operations
Familiar with proper procedures for the care, cleaning and use of a variety of surveying tools and electronic equipment, including the tribrach and tripod
No experience needed
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Work outside for 8-10 hours a day
Walk 2 miles
