You will be the technical lead across our End User Computing and Workplace Technology teams, setting the bar for how we build, deploy, and maintain systems at scale across a 5,000+ device fleet — a large, complex environment spanning Windows, Mac, and cloud-managed device platforms. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own design decisions and solve hard problems, not manage people. When a project is at risk or a design needs a harder look, you're who the team leans on.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of major initiatives across device management, identity, and workplace technology
- Provide technical leadership for the IT Engineering team, raising the bar on execution and quality
- Unblock complex problems, review high-risk changes, and raise the quality floor across the team
- Evaluate new tooling and platforms with a clear view of tradeoffs, security posture, and operational cost
- Turn ambiguous business problems into well-scoped technical solutions, making sound decisions with incomplete information
- Participate in incident response for issues affecting user systems or workplace platforms — own technical response, drive resolution, and ensure problems are fully closed
- Represent the team's technical direction to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership without the director in the room when needed
Skill Requirements
- 5+ years in IT engineering with a background in desktop engineering, end user computing, or device management at large or mid-sized enterprise scale
- Hands-on scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and orchestration
- Deep operational experience with MDM tooling across Windows and Mac device fleets
- Identity and access governance: SSO, SAML, SCIM, conditional access policies, and access lifecycle management
- Experience with Git-based version control workflows, including pull requests and code review
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Zero Trust security frameworks and compliance practices
- Actively uses AI tools as part of their engineering workflow; brings an AI-forward mindset to solving problems at scale
- Experience working in SASE/SSE environments
- Experience with logging, SIEM integrations, auditing, monitoring, and device telemetry
- Network fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TLS/SSL, and Zero Trust/VPN architecture
- Familiarity with endpoint security tooling (EDR, DLP)

About the Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role at the intersection of IT, SRE, and Product/Production Support. You will be the senior technical escalation point managing managers spanning multiple sub-functions (Service desk, IT & Product Support, Production Engineering). You will be obsessed with uptime. The job is to architect the monitoring, telemetry, and automation that lets us catch issues before users experience them; to run incidents when they happen; and to drive the postmortems and engineering partnerships that prevent the next one. You will also lead, mentor, grow managers and individual contributors, mature support processes end-to-end. This is not a service-delivery oversight role. You will spend time in dashboards, queries, and code, not in steering committees. You will be expected to write SQL, build monitors, review Terraform, and lead a P1 bridge personally.
This is an in-office-focused hybrid role based in Chicago.
What You'll Do
Production Reliability & Incident Management:
- Own the incident response end-to-end. Serve as incident commander on high-impact P1/P2 incidents, lead communication, coordinate engineering and business stakeholders, run blameless postmortems, and drive resulting action items to closure.
- Architect and continuously refine the observability stack. Build and tune dashboards, alerts and synthetic monitoring that give real-time visibility into system and end-user experience health.
- Drive a shift from reactive to proactive. Identify what is breaking before it breaks. Use telemetry, anomaly detection, and trend analysis to surface systemic issues; partner with technical stakeholders to eliminate them at the source.
- Hit the operational metrics that matter. Ensure tight SLA adherence and continuous improvement across both end-user support and production incidents.
Technical Depth & Automation:
- Be the senior technical escalation. You will personally dig into logs, queries, and infrastructure to unblock the team when needed.
- Drive automation and self-service that eliminates repeat tickets and matures our knowledge management strategy.
- Implement AI and automated solutions to improve quality & speed of operations.
Leadership & Operations:
- Manage defects and enhancements, resolve incidents, and prevent systemic issues through structured Product management, Engineering and Operations partnership.
- Strengthen the feedback loop from support into the product roadmap.
- Own and advance internal IT & Product support services (service desk, endpoint support, access management, etc).
- Foster a culture of accountability and ownership. Set the tone for technical excellence and user obsession across the org.
What We Look For
- 8+ years of experience leading distributed teams including managers in high-growth SaaS and API-first environments.
- Seasoned incident commander with hands-on experience leading P1/P2 response, running postmortems, and driving systemic fixes that prevent recurrence.
- Proven track record of reshaping support operations through AI, automation, and intelligent tooling.
- Strong technical proficiency such as but not limited to SQL, NQL, DDSQL, Powershell, Python, Terraform, Shell, Bash, Rest API.
- Solid understanding of AWS services including S3, CloudWatch, EKS, Kubernetes, ECS, EC2, Lambda, and Workspaces.
- Deep knowledge of support, DEX, observability and CRM platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, DataDog, Nexthink.
- Excellent leadership & decision-making skills as well as project management experience with ability to execute across multiple priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to translate technical concepts into business value for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks with experience optimizing incident, change & problem management at scale.

About the Role
As Production Support Engineer, you will be part of a multi-tiered support team whose primary responsibilities include minimizing downtime and optimizing production uptime. You will be the bridge between code and customer. This is an in-person role in our Chicago office.
What You'll Do
The Production Support Engineer will
- Act as the primary incident commander for high-severity outages, orchestrating the technical response and maintaining clear lines of communication with stakeholders.
- Lead blameless post-mortem sessions to dissect failures. Be responsible for translating technical items into documented systemic improvements.
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting and analysis to resolve bugs, identify workflow enhancements and other functional errors.
- Own and evolve the observability strategy. Move us from reactive alerts to predictive insights.
- Dive into Ruby code, review GitHub PRs, manage feature flags, and run production jobs to keep things moving.
- Lead problem management. Identify systemic trends and partner with Product teams to prioritize permanent fixes over temporary band-aids.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to support tools, workflows, and documentation.
- Drive critical escalations in technically challenging situations in collaboration with engineering, product, and other IT teams.
What We Look For
- 5+ years of experience in a high-stakes Production/SRE role, with deep expertise in AWS (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch) and SQL.
- Expert-level experience with Observability/APM tools
- A strong development background. You are comfortable reading and debugging Ruby or JavaScript and navigating GitHub workflows.
- Proven experience in incident command. You know how to manage a bridge, silence the noise and drive a team toward a resolution under heavy pressure.
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- A "Bias for Action." You can navigate ambiguity, manage your own project timelines, and stay calm while the "house is on fire.".
- You can translate a complex system failure into a clear, business-value narrative for non-technical executives.

The Role
As the Information Security Manager, you will lead our security operations function, the team responsible for monitoring the environment, triaging security signals across cloud and endpoints, running the company's Insider Risk program, and owning initial vulnerability triage. You have a demonstrated track record of relentlessly pursuing high security standards and holding your team accountable to them. You will manage analysts who serve as the first line of detection for the security organization, ensuring threats are identified, sized, and routed with the right context and urgency. Your primary objective is to build a disciplined, high-signal operations function that drives down dwell time and keeps the broader security team focused on the most impactful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations Ownership: Own the day-to-day function of the team — alert triage, signal prioritization, and escalation workflows. Ensure the team operates consistently and with a clear sense of urgency.
- SIEM & Detection Management: Own SIEM operations hands-on — including log source onboarding, pipeline configuration, parsing, detection coverage, rule tuning, and alert fidelity. Ensure the team is operationalizing threat intelligence and not just reacting to whatever fires first.
- Cloud & Endpoint Signal Triage: Oversee triage of security signals sourced from cloud infrastructure, endpoint detection, and network controls. Separate noise from meaningful findings and ensure high-fidelity signals reach the right team with full context.
- Incident Response Ownership: Own the incident response function end-to-end — from initial escalation through containment, cross-functional coordination, and post-incident review. Ensure findings drive detection improvements and close the loop with Security Engineering where remediation is required.
- Insider Risk Program: Lead the Insider Risk process end-to-end — from identifying coverage gaps across cloud and endpoint environments, to behavioral monitoring and DLP signal review, through investigation, escalation, and case closure.
- Vulnerability Triage: Own initial triage and prioritization of vulnerability findings. Size risk, assign severity, and route to Security Engineering with the context needed to make prioritization decisions.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of security analysts, managing performance and growth while building a culture of rigor and ownership.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a key interface between the security function and the broader business. Work directly with HR and Legal on Insider Risk cases that require cross-functional handling, and engage with business leadership to communicate risk, provide operational context, and ensure security decisions are grounded in business impact.
Skill Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, or a SOC environment
- Direct people management experience with analysts or security operations staff
- Technical depth in SIEM platforms — log ingestion, pipeline and parsing configuration, detection engineering, and alert tuning
- Demonstrated experience running or contributing to an Insider Risk or DLP investigation program, with the technical understanding to identify coverage gaps across cloud and endpoint environments
- Working knowledge of vulnerability triage and risk prioritization — CVSS, asset context, business impact
- Ability to triage and contextualize signals from cloud infrastructure and endpoint tooling
- Clear communicator who can size and convey risk across technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud-native security tooling and CSPM/CWPP signal interpretation
- Familiarity with phishing triage and email security investigation workflows
- Exposure to threat intelligence operationalization — consuming feeds and translating them into detection coverage
- Experience operating within a multi-team security model with defined handoff processes between operations, engineering, and GRC functions
The Ideal Candidate You run a tight operation and you're still technical enough to get your hands dirty. You've built or managed SOC workflows before and know the difference between a high-fidelity detection program and an alert noise machine. You take Insider Risk seriously — you understand the sensitivity, the cross-functional complexity, and the investigative discipline it requires, and you can look across a cloud and endpoint environment and identify where the coverage gaps actually are. You can stand up a log pipeline, tune a parser, and write a detection — and you can also walk a business leader through what a finding means and why it matters. You communicate clearly, move with urgency, and keep your team sharp on what actually matters.

About the Role
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer able to contribute towards Beyond Finance’s ambitious growth. You will provide strategic, innovative, and cost-effective support solutions to increase efficiency, reliability, and integration of our services and operations. You will work in a semi-autonomous and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
The IT Support Specialist will help
- Identify AND remediate IT trends impacting end-users device performance.
- Develop corrective and preventative actions to minimize user downtime.
- Develop remediations using scripting and other methods.
- Design, install, configure and maintain a comprehensive IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Windows.
- Participate in incident management and assist with scoping and remediation efforts.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues.
- Manage, troubleshoot and provide solutions for a wide range of technical issues impacting users in person and remotely.
- Identify and escalate trends, bugs and other system errors to Escalation, IT Engineering and Security teams.
- Build and maintain document library, knowledge base articles.
- Provide internal training and address knowledge gaps.
- Troubleshoot end-user reported issues using DEX platform and identify root causes.
- Create detection methods to reliably diagnose IT issues via key metrics.
- Create IT health reports on a per department basis.
- Develop integrations and automations using API.
What We Look For
- Advanced Experience with Windows operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Strong expertise with powershell, bash, python or other scripting languages.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work quickly and effectively.
- Experience with Call Center technologies & Network troubleshooting.
- Experience with a major platform for ticketing and support (FreshService, Zendesk, Zoho, ServiceNow, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot in unfamiliar territory, provide technical support, and maintain third-party commercial SaaS applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision.
- Ability to consult and develop comprehensive project plans, timelines.
Nice to Haves:
- Strong experience with Query languages and supporting platforms like Datadog.
- Previous experience with DEX platforms such as Nexthink.
- Advance Experience with remote and onsite network troubleshooting (focus on VOIP Technologies preferred)
- Experience with APIs and webhooks, including development of custom JSON payloads.
