We are looking for a skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to support general facility upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance at our Dallas office.

About the Role

What You'll Do

• Perform general repairs and troubleshooting across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems. 
• Execute preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. 
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including power tools, ladders, and diagnostic devices. 
• Install and repair lock systems and door hardware. 
• Perform light electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, and lighting components. 
• Complete basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and replacing fixtures. 
• Interpret basic building systems and blueprints to support maintenance activities. 
• Maintain accurate logs and updates within maintenance or work order systems. 
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing work.
• Travel between multiple sites, if required.

What You'll Need

• Experience performing general maintenance across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) 
• Strong understanding of building systems and basic blueprint interpretation 
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment 
• Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and work orders
• Understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills 
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities 
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Willingness and ability to travel between multiple job sites, if required
• Valid driver’s license (required if travel between sites is required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, tools, and equipment as needed
• Comfortable working at heights (on ladders) and in confined or awkward spaces
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing manual labor for extended periods

About the Role

Avride is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to design API and UX surface of the Pipelines for the main framework of interconnectivity for car and robot components. This position will also steer development and streamline the evolving Pipeline engine.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement and evolve API and UX surface of the Pipeline: the main framework of interconnectivity for Avride components for both car and robot.
• Have the hand on the pulse of developer productivity and happiness: constantly gather feedback, dive deep into problems and friction team members face when working with pipeline framework.
• Research and know how non-developer users interact with Pipeline.
• Proactively act upon known problems: add documentation, tutorials, host talks, improve APIs and tools.
• Steer development of the pipeline engine itself to be able to deliver the external APIs promised.
• Proactively seek conceptual changes required to simplify and streamline evolving the understanding of what the Pipeline is: refine definitions, seek synergy with other frameworks used in the industry outside company (spark, ray etc)
• Refactor existing APIs together with user code to keep maintenance costs reasonable.

What You’ll Need

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Foreign equivalent is accepted.
• 5 + years of professional experience in Software Development/Engineering or equivalent.
• Confident in designing clean easy-to use efficient APIs in C++, Python
• Familiarity with developing python bindings for C++ (pybind11)
• Familiarity with build systems (Make, Cmake, Bazel is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in planning and implementing refactorings touching big portions of the code base.
• At least 2 years experience building infrastructure for internal consumers: negotiating APIs, requirements and priorities
• Ability to participate in project management activities, set goals and deadlines on at least a couple of months horizons, collaborate with other teams.
