HR Adviseur (Parttime) - Flagship Plant Avantium, Delfzijl
Wij zijn op zoek naar een ervaren HR-adviseur om een belangrijke bijdrage te leveren binnen onze dynamische productieorganisatie. Deze parttime positie bij de Flagship Plant van Avantium in Delfzijl biedt de gelegenheid een verantwoordelijke rol te vervullen.
Functieomschrijving:
Als HR Adviseur bij Avantium ben jij het aanspreekpunt voor medewerkers en managers op locatie. Op de Flagship Plant in Delfzijl werken 65 collega’s en de fabriek is 24/7 in bedrijf. De organisatie is pas enkele jaren geleden gestart en biedt daarom unieke uitdagingen. Je werkt parttime (24 uur per week). De taken waarvoor je verantwoordelijk bent, zijn o.a.:
Positie binnen Avantium:
Je maakt deel uit van het HR-team in Amsterdam en rapporteert aan de HR Director. Elke twee maanden kom je naar Amsterdam om contact te houden met het team. Je werkt samen met de HR Business Partner van Renewable Polymers vanuit Amsterdam en bent lid van het Leadership Team van de Flagship Plant, met een functionele lijn naar de Plant Manager.

Tot de arbeidsvoorwaarden behoren een laptop en mobiele telefoon, 27 vakantiedagen op basis van fulltime dienstverband en de mogelijkheid om vijf extra dagen bij te kopen.

The role
Avantium is looking for a Technologist Analytics to support the development of PEF and FDCA.
The Technologists analytic provide the analytical solution for process, product and application development within Renewable Polymers (RNP) business unit. In the Technology team there is an open position for a Technologist AnalyticsThe Technologists analytic are currently part of the Technology team with a specific expertise on a broad range of analytics, from standard methods to sophisticated techniques. They works closely together with project teams, and the monomer and polymer & application development teams. They also work closely with their counterparts in the Flagship Plant (in Delfzijl) and the Pilot Plant (in Geleen).
How can you contribute?
The Technologist Analytics position within Renewable Polymers Business Unit (RNP) will contribute to process and product development projects by executing sample preparations and performing analyses based on various analytical techniques with a focus towards Polymer characterization and quality assessment. The Technologist Analytics will report into the Teamleader Technology of RNP.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will commercialize our Glycolic Acid products which will be produced in our demonstration and flagship plants. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new customers in the Personal Care market, and for developing partnerships with brand owners and distributors in that market segment. The Business Development Manager will report to the Chief Product Officer.
Responsibilities
The key objective of the Business Development Manager is to identify and develop business opportunities in the Personal Care segment that support the development, scale-up and commercialization of the Volta Technology.
To achieve this, you will be responsible for:
- Acquisition of new opportunities with key customers in the Personal Care segment and converting these into offtake agreements for the Demonstration and Flagship Plant
- Set up Distributor Agreements with distributors in the Personal Care segment
- Develop and execute a commercialization strategy for our Glycolic Acid in the Personal Care market
- Monitor market insights and market reports, collect and analyze relevant data, and provide perspective regarding interest areas and relevance to translate market insight into strategic focus
- Collect and convert customer requirements into technical product specification
- Represent Volta at conferences with the goal of increasing general awareness on the product, lead generation and building relationships with external contacts into meaningful partnerships.

The Project Controller supports the CFO and will play a critical role in supporting the financial and operational success of our projects. You act as the financial partner to Project Managers, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. You will help safeguard project profitability, control risks, and ensure that projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget. Scope of work entails subsidies, costs and capital expenditures.

How can you contribute?
Avantium’s Renewable Polymers division is looking for an experienced License Sales Manager to lead licensing activities and coordinate local value chains for our renewable process technologies. As part of the License Team, reporting to the License Director, you will drive commercialization of our YXY® Technology, which converts plant-based feedstock into FDCA – the key building block of PEF, a 100% renewable and recyclable polyester with superior performance for packaging and textiles.
Avantium will launch its Flagship Plant in 2026 (5 kta FDCA/PEF) to demonstrate technology and market at commercial scale. Our business model focuses on selling YXY licenses for large-scale plants worldwide (>100 kta). For this, we work with leading companies across industries (feedstock, chemical companies as well as brands and retailers in a.o. food & beverage, cosmetics and apparel).
As License Sales Manager, you will lead a region (e.g., North America, Europe, Asia) and collaborate with partners in feedstock, operations, and financing. Internal alignment with Engineering, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and IP is key. Based in Amsterdam, this role offers the chance to shape sustainable chemistry and develop professionally as part of an innovative team.

De resultaten en de productie die de Flagship Plant gaat leveren zullen van cruciaal belang zijn voor de vercommercialisering van Avantium’s technologie en deze spelen een grote rol bij het bereiken van onze doelstelling om een duurzame polymeer – PEF - in de markt te zetten. Je gaat dus een belangrijke bijdrage leveren aan de stabiliteit en aan een optimale bedrijfsvoering van de FDCA Flagship plant in Delfzijl.
Jouw vaardigheden:
Je hebt kennis en ervaring als Process Operator en hebt een afgeronde VAPRO B of C opleiding. Je hebt reeds ervaring opgedaan in de opbouw van chemische fabrieken en/of pilot plants. Je bent belangstellend en enthousiast om nieuwe zaken op – en aan te pakken.
Ook ben je in staat om ook onder stressvolle werkomstandigheden je werk te blijven uitvoeren volgens de bij ons geldende veiligheidsvoorschriften en milieueisen.
Jouw taken zijn:
· Start en bediening van verschillende installatieonderdelen,
· Voorbereiden en begeleiden van reparaties en onderhoud,
· Validatie van onze technologie en verbetering daarvan,
· Opschaling van onze gepatenteerde technologie,
· Uitvoer van eerste analyses bij storingen en incidenten.
In deze uitdagende functie ga je nauw samenwerken met je naaste collega Operators, Senior Operators en Assistant Shift Supervisors, die in 5 ploegendiensten werken en rapporteer je aan Avantium’s Manager Operations.
