Position Summary
As a Project Manager – Work Orders with Auld & White, you’ll support our Interiors Division by managing multiple projects ranging from $1,000 to $500,000. Reporting to the Work Order Manager, you’ll be responsible for business development, estimating, and full project management from proposal through closeout. This includes coordinating schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure successful delivery while strengthening client partnerships and contributing to the division’s growth.
Position Description
- Support business development by preparing pricing proposals and cultivating client relationships
- Collaborate with clients and design partners to develop conceptual designs, estimates, and secure necessary permits
- Lead project start-up activities, including reviewing estimates, preparing cost codes, and establishing schedules
- Manage subcontractor and vendor procurement, including bids, purchase orders, and subcontracts
- Oversee construction progress schedules, client communications, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct regular project meetings with owners and design teams to coordinate work with field supervisors
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and product data to support field personnel
- Oversee project closeout, punch list completion, and warranty follow-up
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
- 4+ years of relevant construction experience
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, systems, and project phases
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management systems

The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading field operations on Interiors Division projects. This position is a working supervisor position with responsibilities split between supervising and self-performing carpentry. The Project Coordinator is a hands-on leader who coordinates subcontractors, supports self-perform crews, enforces safety and quality standards, and maintains clear communication with the project team. Position Description
- Lead all onsite construction activities for projects ranging from $500K to $1M. Ensure safe, high-quality, on-schedule, and on-budget project execution.
- Drive AWC safety culture with jobsite orientations, ongoing enforcement and monitoring, and immediate incident response
- Set clear productivity expectations and mentor carpenters to achieve labor savings and strong performance
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, materials, and site logistics to maintain workflow and cleanliness
- Review and manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and ensure quality installations that meet design intent
- Maintain and track project schedules using short-term planning and weekly coordination meetings
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Field Operations Manager to forecast manpower and resource needs
- Lead daily reporting, cost tracking, and ensure accurate timekeeping for all onsite personnel
- Represent AWC in Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and maintain strong trade partner relationships
- Uphold company standards for professionalism, workmanship, and accountability across the project site
- When needed/appropriate, utilize tools to self-perform work on the jobsite.
Position Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction
- 2+ years’ experience as a foreman leading crews on a commercial jobsite
- Strong carpentry skills with hands-on experience in self-perform work and task planning
- High proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Typical schedule is M-F 7-3:30, with flexibility to work OT as needed for the project (could involve nights and weekends)

Carpenter Apprentice

Auld & White is looking for aspiring carpenters to join our team of apprentices. Apprentices will work full-time for Auld & White Constructors on construction projects learning through hands on construction. While working full-time for AWC, apprentices also take night classes twice per week through The Northeast Florida Builder's Association (NEFBA), to learn construction via instructors teaching NCCER curriculum. This is a four year program, with classes starting in August of 2026.

Job Responsibilities
- Study blueprints, sketches, specifications, submittals and shop drawings for information on type of material required, such as lumber, concrete, rebar or wallboard, etc. Learn the dimensions of structures or items fabricated and the type of finish required.
- Select specified type of lumber or other materials under direction from craftspeople, lead carpenters and superintendent.
- Learn and use basic measuring tools used by the field craftspeople and identify various widths and lengths of lumber.
- Be able to carry out given instructions from craftspeople, lead carpenters and superintendent.
- Assist superintendent/lead carpenter with various carpentry tasks.
- Ensure workplace safety. Observe proper worksite safety procedures. Utilize tools and equipment in accordance with operating instructions/manuals. Report any safety hazards or potential hazards to supervisor. Notify super/lead of any safety concerns for employees or subcontractors.
- Turn signed work process cards in to NEFBA on a weekly basis.
- Attend Apprentice classes on a regular/timely basis.
Candidates should have the following:
- Driver's License
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Stable job history
- Good references
- Dependable to be at work and on time, and have a reliable means of transportation to jobs throughout Northeast Florida.
