Our mission at Atomic Machines is to bring autonomous bits-to-atoms manufacturing of anything at any scale to the world, and we are well on our way. We are developing an entirely new class of manufacturing foundry for micro- and nano-scale machines, and we are using that foundry to create products the world has heretofore been unable to build. Our first device has exceptionally strong and large-scale product-market fit: it is both iconic of what our platform can do and a driver of very significant enterprise scale.
Joining forces with us means becoming part of an incredibly talented, inventive and passionate multi-disciplinary team running hard to make our platform, devices and vision a reality. You will have the opportunity to help define the company from its earliest days. You’ll be challenged to learn and grow as a builder and a leader as the company itself grows rapidly. And you will receive significant equity compensation - you’ll truly be a company owner and benefit financially from our overall success. We’re looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner who thrives in an evolving startup environment and brings both strategic insight and hands-on execution. This role is ideal for someone with 5 - 8 years of HRBP experience who is data-driven, deeply attuned to people and culture, and energized by designing and scaling impactful people programs.
You’ll partner closely with leaders and employees, translating business priorities into high-impact people strategies that improve performance, engagement, and retention. You’ll use data to spot trends, anticipate challenges, and help leaders look around corners, while also being a trusted, visible presence with a strong pulse on the organization.

Our goal is to build one of the earliest AI-native People Operations systems inside a scaling technology company. Instead of a large administrative HR organization, we are building a highly leveraged People team powered by innovative solutions, operational excellence and emergent AI-enabled processes.
We call this model the TAO of People: Tech, Agents, and Operations.
The TAO of People is the operating system behind how a company hires, supports, and grows its workforce—where a small team designs systems, workflows, and agents that run much of the operational work.
We are looking for a builder to help design and implement this model at Atomic Machines.
This role partners directly with the VP, People to architect the systems, workflows, and internal tools that power the People Team as the company scales. Over time, this role has the opportunity to grow into Head of People Operations, responsible for the systems and infrastructure that support the organization. You are a builder and systems thinker who enjoys designing new operating models rather than maintaining legacy ones.
You'll likely:
Experience in operations, consulting, product, analytics, or People operations can all be relevant backgrounds. Recent experience designing and implementing agentic workflows or other AI-first programs are ideal.
When referencing the compensation band below, please note that it may vary based on a candidate’s experience and level. This role is not tied to a single level and may span earlier-in-career through senior-level candidates (L5-L6). Final leveling will be determined during the interview process. We are open to strong earlier-career candidates who are excited to grow into broader technical leadership or architectural responsibility over time.
The compensation for this position also includes equity and benefits.

About the Role
This isn't your typical recruiting role — it's dynamic, immersive, and built for someone who thrives on complexity.
We're building breakthrough technology that spans mechanical systems, AI, computer vision, materials science, and high-volume manufacturing. You won't be an expert in all of it — but you'll get genuinely curious about how it fits together, and you'll use that fluency to hire exceptionally well for the teams that make it all run: GTM, People, Finance, and Operations.
Every hire materially shapes what we build. Our bar is high by design — fair, well-defined, and grounded in first principles.
As our startup recruiter, you'll own full-cycle recruiting for core operational functions. That means driving search strategy, building pipelines from scratch, partnering with hiring managers to define and calibrate roles, and closing high-impact hires in a fast-moving environment. You'll be embedded with our teams — onsite, in the work, learning how our systems operate and what it actually takes to thrive here.
We're one integrated team. The people who do best at Atomic Machines are collaborative, adaptable, and relentlessly curious — and we're looking for a recruiter who's the same.
The compensation for this position also includes equity and benefits.
