The Role

We are seeking a Senior Audit Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing client relationships; supervising, reviewing, and providing on-the-job training for staff; performing all tasks of the assurance engagements when needed. Notably, the person in this role will play a critical role in leading our client engagements. This role will be based out of Duluth, GA.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Compliance
  • This position will lead and ensure the team maintains a high degree of accuracy and timeliness of the audit engagements.
• Team Leadership:
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff and preparing more complicated sections of the files.
  • Set the culture for the engagement team and mentor members in their career development.
  • Work to ensure your team is engaged and excited by listening and assisting in the development of team members’ goals to meet department objectives while also providing opportunities for them to grow. 
• Client Service:
  • Deliver quality internal and external client service, in accordance with the Firm’s values, in order to build and maintain client loyalty and teamwork by contributing to a positive client and team member experience.
• Continuous Process Improvement:
  • Focus on solutions and problem solving creatively in order to help make timely decisions by translating requests into action.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related
• Active CPA in good standing
• 8 years of increasing levels of responsibility in public accounting
• Experience specializing in Government and Single Audit financial statement audits with a CPA firm
• Demonstrably strong leadership skills
• Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Employee Benefit Plan, non-profit, and/or real estate audits
• Caseware, DAS, OnPoint, MindBridge experience

The Role

We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial CAAS Director to lead this growing service line, drive client success, elevate our team, and shape the future of our advisory offerings. 

The CAAS Director will lead the firm’s client accounting and advisory practice, driving growth through strategic resource management, operational excellence, and high-impact client service. This role combines strategic leadership  and a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals with hands-on execution; streamlining processes, building scalable SOPs, and leveraging technology to enhance both client and team experiences. 

The Director oversees a growing CAAS portfolio, converts qualified leads into well-scoped engagements, and ensures delivery of meaningful insights and measurable results. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, client-focused, and skilled in technical, advisory, and leadership disciplines, with a passion for developing people and transforming how businesses operate. 

Key Responsibilities

Practice Management and Strategic Operations 

• Manage department resources and project scheduling with data driven decision making to ensure accounts are properly staffed and aligned with demand.
• Develop and refine staffing models for core CAAS service offerings, optimizing collaboration between domestic and offshore teams.
• Oversee workflow management to meet deadlines, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Streamline key CAAS processes through clear and effective operating procedures that enhance efficiency, consistency, and employee engagement.
• Evaluate emerging accounting technologies and automation tools; recommend and implement solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and the client experience. 
• Serve as the primary point of contact for firm leadership on CAAS-related initiatives and performance.

Team Leadership and Culture 

• Lead, manage, and hold team members accountable to firm goals; monitor utilization and workload to ensure consistent service quality.
• Coach, motivate, and upskill staff through ongoing feedback and performance guidance to support professional growth and engagement
• Foster a culture of strong ownership, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct formal performance evaluations at least semi-annually and provide regular, constructive feedback throughout the year 

Client Engagement and Business Development 

• Stay current on industry trends and market opportunities to identify strategic growth areas and potential partnerships.
• Oversee key client relationships, ensuring timely communication, service excellence, and strategic alignment.
• Conduct prospect meetings to assess client needs and design appropriately scoped, accurately priced, long term CAAS engagements.
• Strengthen advisory relationships with clients by proactively identifying opportunities to expand services and support evolving business needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of general accounting experience
• 4+ years of experience training and supervising staff
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and advisory services.
• Strategic people leader with a track record of building high-performing teams and driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and client-focused excellence.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to identify root causes of complex issues and design practical, well-structured solutions.
• Process-oriented, with an appreciation for standard operating procedures and the ability to create and refine SOPs.
• Technologically adept, quick to learn new tools and skilled in leveraging automation and AI to optimize processes.
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written; able to simplify complex accounting and finance concepts and uncover client needs, even when not fully articulated.
• Strong soft skills in project and time management; highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and skilled at turning challenges into opportunities. 
• Proficient in accounting software; experience with QuickBooks preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing offshore teams
• Experience in evaluating and implementing new software solutions
• Proven ability to grow a client book of business in CAAS services

The Role

We are seeking experienced Tax Managers to join our collaborative, people-first team!

As a Tax Manager, you will lead and manage all phases of business and individual client tax advisory and compliance engagements, serving as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base. • Advise clients on federal, state, and local tax matters, offering proactive strategies to minimize risk and optimize results.

• Conduct research on complex tax issues and present findings in clear, actionable terms.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and production goals to ensure engagement profitability.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)
• 7+ years of public accounting experience in tax preparation and review
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting, corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
• Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Client-service mindset with a commitment to quality and relationship building

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with CCH Axcess, UltraTax and/or QuickBooks
• Knowledge of multi-state, high-net-worth individual, estate, and trust tax issues
• Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire staff

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our collaborative, people-first team!

As a Tax Senior Manager, you will serve as a primary technical resource and people leader within the tax department — overseeing complex engagements, developing managers and seniors, and acting as a main client contact for a portfolio of relationships. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and review complex tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trust, estates, and non-profits, ensuring the highest standards of technical accuracy and documentation before partner review.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for seniors and staff — remaining current on tax developments, leading internal training, and driving the team's technical proficiency.
• Act as a main point of contact for a portfolio of clients; maintain proactive communication throughout the year and attend client meetings independently as appropriate.
• Lead planning, budgeting, and staffing for engagements; monitor budget compliance across the team and communicate out-of-scope billing opportunities to partners early.
• Directly supervise seniors and staff during engagements — hold regular update meetings, provide timely and constructive review feedback, and ensure all workpapers are complete and signed off prior to partner review.
• Handle problems and conflicts on behalf of the team, offering solutions rather than simply escalating challenges, with minimal involvement from partners.
• Participate in prospective client meetings, assist with proposal development, and contribute to new business growth in accordance with annual targets.
• Conduct and support sophisticated tax research and write consultation memos as needed; leverage research projects to develop junior staff.
• Identify and communicate professional development opportunities for team members; ensure all direct reports have active career maps and receive regular, meaningful feedback.
• Make substantive contributions to the firm outside of direct client service — including recruiting, process improvement, software implementation, and staff development.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA license required
• 8+ years of public accounting experience in tax, with demonstrated progression into a supervisory or leadership role
• Deep technical knowledge across corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong client relationship skills with experience serving as a primary client contact
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams

Preferred Qualifications 

• Subject matter expertise in 2 or more industries or specialty tax areas (e.g., multi-state, high-net-worth individuals, non-profits, estates and trusts)
• Experience with CCH Axcess, UltraTax, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office
• Track record of contributing to business development or client expansion initiatives
• Experience with workforce planning, hiring, or performance management processes

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our collaborative, people-first team!

As a Tax Senior, you will take ownership of tax engagements from start to finish — preparing and reviewing federal and state returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profits while directly supervising and developing staff. You will serve as a key point of coordination between staff and managers, ensuring work is technically sound, on time, and delivered to firm standards.

This role is well suited for someone who is ready to take on greater responsibility, sharpen their technical expertise, and begin developing the client service and leadership skills that will carry them forward in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates at varying levels of complexity.
• Directly supervise staff during engagements — assign work thoughtfully, monitor progress, hold regular status updates, and communicate issues to the manager or senior manager in a timely manner.
• Review staff workpapers and provide clear, constructive feedback to ensure compliance with firm quality and documentation standards.
• Perform an effective self-review, catching errors before submission and proactively maintaining a checklist of prior review points to prevent repeat comments.
• Communicate engagement status, budget variances, and timing risks to the manager or senior manager as early as possible.
• Research moderately complex tax issues and document findings clearly, escalating significant matters to the manager, senior manager, or partner as appropriate.
• Identify additional services Wilson Lewis can provide to address client needs observed during engagements.
• Serve as a buddy and mentor to assigned staff — meet regularly, provide real-time feedback, and communicate development opportunities to senior leadership.
• Participate in firm-sponsored networking events and professional development activities, including at least 40 hours of technical CPE annually.
• Contribute to firm initiatives beyond direct client service, including recruiting, process improvement, and staff development.

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of public accounting experience in tax preparation and review
• Proficiency preparing business and individual returns
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications 

• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) or actively pursuing completion of CPA exam
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Proficiency with CCH Axcess, UltraTax, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office
• Exposure to multi-state, trust, or other specialty tax areas
