Position Summary
This is a senior role within the Business Development team to originate and develop high quality project opportunities in the international industrial heat market and develop them towards final investment decisions (FID). You will lead a cross-functional team to bring credible, large-scale industrial decarbonization projects to life. You'll also leverage your expertise to help evolve Antora’s deal-team playbook for high-performance, efficiency and productivity. Projects will initially be internationally located, with focus in Spain and/or Australia, but over time may be in other markets including the US as well. This role prefers candidates that operate 4+ days per week from the San Jose, CA office when not traveling.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Originate high-quality decarbonization project opportunities with industrial offtakers
- Develop creative, customer-oriented solutions built on Antora’s thermal energy storage solution to profitably reduce industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Negotiate and secure high volumes of commercial off-take agreements for zero-carbon energy with industrial facilities
- Manage your project development budget to progress promising opportunities towards investability
- Build relationships with senior leaders and key strategic partners across a portfolio of prospective customers
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of 7 years experience of selling industrial energy applications, and bringing projects through to FID
- Proven abilities in quantitative problem solving as demonstrated in creative deal structuring for complex deals
- Demonstrated expertise within renewable energy markets or industrial thermal applications
- Track record of consistently advancing high-quality deals to achieve or exceed sales targets
- A portfolio of energy industry relationships across offtakers and project partners (e.g. financiers, utilities, developers)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building development teams and evolving development processes
- Experience selling energy decarbonization applications in international markets
- Experience in the low carbon fuels sector

POSITION SUMMARY
We’re looking for a senior analytics manager to own Antora’s long-term power market economics: the forecasts, models, and market strategies that underpin how we originate, structure, and finance projects. You’ll be the internal authority on long-term power prices, capacity market value, and battery dispatch economics across our priority markets in the U.S. and internationally.
The role combines deep analytical work: LMP forecasting, ELCC modeling, production cost modeling, capacity expansion modeling with external-facing responsibilities. You’ll represent Antora’s market views to customers, project financiers, electric utilities, and ISOs, and you’ll help them correctly model a technology class most have never seen. You’ll be supported by data scientist and software engineer peers, manage forecast vendors and energy market consultants, and build Antora’s analytical infrastructure.
Reports to the VP of Product Management & Analytics.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
POWER MARKET FORECASTING & VALUATION
- Own long-term LMP forecasts for power projects and power-to-heat projects; maintain Antora’s house view on power price trends, charging costs, and arbitrage value across priority markets.
- Lead ELCC modeling across ISOs and own Antora’s position on capacity value for thermal storage—including how that value evolves as market rules and resource mixes change.
- Develop and maintain views on ancillary services participation and value for Antora’s technology across market structures.
- Build and maintain analytical models or manage external consultants or other internal team members to build models that inform project valuation, deal structuring, and product design; This includes production cost models, capacity expansion models, and ELCC models.
MARKET STRATEGY & INTELLIGENCE
- Develop market participation strategies across ISOs: capacity accreditation, ancillary services qualification, energy market positioning.
- Track and model the implications of changes to energy, capacity, and ancillary services market rules across priority ISOs.
- Identify and prioritize prospective projects and interconnection positions based on market fundamentals and Antora’s competitive positioning.
- Inform Antora’s battery product design and requirements to maximize market value—translating market signals into what we should build and how we should operate.
CUSTOMER & STAKEHOLDER ANALYTICS
- Represent Antora’s views internally and externally on capacity value, energy value, and technology economics to data center operators, utilities, and project financiers.
- Represent Antora’s views internally and externally on charging costs and energy economics for power-to-heat projects to project financiers and industrial customers.
- Build and maintain the modeling guidance and benchmarking toolkit that helps external stakeholders model thermal storage correctly.
- Equip the origination team with market-specific analytics, models, and competitive positioning.
TEAM & ANALYTICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
- Direct data scientist and software engineer peers: set priorities, define what to build, and identify where automation and tooling eliminate manual analysis.
- Manage relationships with forecast vendors, power market consultants, and third-party study collaborators.
- Codify market rules, modeling guidance, and analytical heuristics into structured, reusable knowledge that makes the team’s expertise durable and scalable.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 7 - 10+ years in energy markets with substantial depth in power market analytics and energy storage dispatch, including experience with operating assets and/or virtual bidding in wholesale electricity markets.
- Deep familiarity with ISO market structures: capacity accreditation, ancillary services, energy markets across at least two of PJM, MISO, or SPP.
- Hands-on experience with LMP forecasting and production cost or capacity expansion tools (Encompass, Plexos, Aurora, PROMOD).
- Experience producing and defending market views or technology economics to sophisticated counterparties: energy traders, utilities, data center operators, financiers, or regulators.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for prototyping and analysis; experienced enough to direct engineers when building at scale.
- Experience managing forecast vendors, market consultants, or third-party study processes.
- Comfortable with AI and automation tools as part of an analytical workflow.
- Strong communicator who moves fluently between technical, commercial, and financial audiences.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
- Background in battery dispatch optimization, storage development, or auto-bidding systems.
- Experience in ELCC or Capacity value modeling
- Experience with thermal storage, long-duration storage, or flexible load commercial structures.
- European (GB, Nordic, continental) or Australian (NEM) electricity market experience.
- ERCOT, CAISO, or Western interconnect experience.
- Familiarity with industrial energy economics, combined heat-and-power projects, or behind-the-meter storage evaluation.

Position Summary
The Principal, Power Procurement will lead complex utility tariff negotiations, originate off-take agreements with utilities, and set consistently high standards for deal execution across the Energy team. This role combines deep, hands-on deal negotiations and ownership, with mentorship for a growing team of deal leads who negotiate energy service agreements, custom tariffs, infrastructure arrangements with utilities, and power purchase agreements across multiple ISOs. The Principal will set deal standards, architect first-of-kind commercial structures, and serve as a trusted escalation point for resolving negotiations aligned with business objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities

Deal Leadership & Origination
- Lead marquee negotiations for utility tariffs and energy service agreements across US markets, including novel tariff structures, custom rate arrangements, and non-standard commercial terms.
- Originate capacity and power sales, including negotiating MOUs, term sheets, and off-take agreements with hyperscalers, utilities, and other large-load customers.
- Architect first-of-kind deal structures tailored to Antora's unique load profile, flexible, dispatchable thermal energy storage, navigating ambiguity where precedent doesn't exist.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for deal team members when negotiations encounter novel risks, counterparty resistance, or deviations from established playbooks.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Policy, and Engineering to align commercial terms with project economics, risk appetite, and technical constraints.
Team Mentorship & Deal Standards
- Mentor and develop deal leads across utility negotiations, providing coaching on negotiation strategy, counterparty management, contract redlining, and commercial judgment.
- Establish and maintain deal standards: term sheet templates, negotiation playbooks, deviation thresholds, and risk escalation frameworks that enable the team to execute efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Conduct regular deal reviews, providing substantive feedback on models, redlines, and negotiation positioning; raise the bar on the quality of decision memos and internal deal presentations.
- Build a culture of commercial rigor, ensuring the team can articulate the "why" behind every material term and defend Antora's positions with data and market context.
Utility & Counterparty Relationships
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with utility executives, regulatory stakeholders, and key counterparties across priority ISOs/RTOs.
- Represent Antora in high-stakes utility meetings, regulatory workshops, and industry forums where commercial credibility and deep expertise matter.
- Partner with Business Development to qualify and advance opportunities, ensuring smooth handoffs from early engagement to active negotiation.
Strategic Input
- Advise the VP, Energy on market-level commercial strategy, including where to deploy negotiating resources, which tariff pathways to prioritize, and how deal terms should evolve as the business scales.
- Identify patterns across deals, common counterparty objections, emerging tariff structures, regulatory shifts, and translate these into proactive strategy adjustments and playbook updates.
- Support investor discussions and project financings by providing credible, experienced perspective on commercial deal structures and pipeline quality.
Key Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in power procurement, energy origination, utility negotiations, or energy commercial roles, with a demonstrated track record of closing complex energy transactions.
- Closed 8+ PPAs, energy service agreements, or equivalent utility contracts; experience negotiating at least 3 original or custom tariff structures.
- Deep expertise in utility tariff design, wholesale power markets, and the commercial mechanics of how large loads contract for energy and grid services.
- Proven ability to mentor and elevate commercial teams, whether through formal management or as a senior IC who sets standards and coaches others.
- Experience negotiating with sophisticated counterparties (utilities, hyperscalers, IPPs) in multiple ISOs/RTOs; comfort navigating novel deal structures where precedent is limited.
- Strong commercial judgment with ability to balance speed, risk, and value capture in fast-moving deal environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to distill complex commercial dynamics into clear recommendations for leadership and external stakeholders.
Additional Qualifications Desired
- Experience with energy storage, thermal storage, or flexible load commercial structures.
- Background in storage, capacity sales, or hyperscaler energy procurement.
- Experience in high-growth or start-up environments where commercial processes and team structures are still being built.
- Existing senior relationships with utility procurement/rates teams and ISO/RTO stakeholders in MISO, SPP, ERCOT, or PJM.
