We’re looking for a hands-on Test Engineer to help operate, test, and improve a small-scale biochar pilot system in Portsmouth, VA. This is a field-based role at the intersection of waste processing, thermal conversion, and climate technology.
Our mission is to turn difficult waste streams into valuable products while helping build durable carbon removal solutions. This role is a great fit for someone who wants to work on real hardware, real waste streams, and real climate impact — not just theory. You’ll play a key part in generating the data, operational insight, and test discipline needed to scale a promising carbon removal pathway.
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in the waste, biomass, organics, high temperature processing or engineered fuels industries who are excited by the opportunity to apply that experience to a climate-focused startup environment.

AMP is hiring a Corporate IT Manager, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, to ensure AMP’s corporate IT systems support our employees with a well-run, responsive helpdesk, reliable and repeatable on/offboarding, smoothly administered enterprise SaaS systems, and IT projects to improve our systems, policies, and processes. In this role, your primary focus would be building a reliable, scalable internal IT function across helpdesk, SaaS administration, onboarding/offboarding, and foundational IT process. This role is ideal for a Sr SysAdmin who is ready to step into a management role, or someone in their first few years of managing IT teams.

Role Overview
The Organics and Offtakes Product Manager will develop AMP’s global strategy and roadmap for offtakes – with a particular emphasis on organics, followed by other hard to valorize fractions. The role focuses on Research and Development and Commercialization of new end markets and partnerships that divert more waste and create better facility unit economics.
Success in this role will transform AMP’s ability to develop projects with greater value creation across all waste fractions. The mandate includes developing, validating, and scaling new models for organics and advanced materials recovery. Success will include identifying and developing project models, integrations, partnerships, and technology roadmaps for TRL 5-9 technologies such as composting, anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis, methanolysis, SRF/RDF, synthetic aggregates, and other emerging technologies. The right hire has a founder mentality and is a “high slope” learner with an interest in clean energy systems, climate negative infrastructure, and waste.
This position works closely with the Head of Product, CTO, engineering and commercial counterparts to explore and validate new ways to convert waste fractions into valuable products, such as manufacturing feedstocks, building materials, solid carbon products, and biofuels. This unique role can have an outsized impact in changing how society handles its waste and create significant climate and ecological impact on an international scale.
