The Role

We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (full or part-time) to join our growing Charlotte, NC clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate, high-quality care for individuals with SMI.

What You'll Do

• Provide behavioral healthcare management to Amae Health patients; monitor and manage care through an array of treatment modalities as patients progress through phases of recovery
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments and provide ongoing medication management for patients with serious mental illness
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on addressing specific psychosocial and medical needs that might limit recovery
• Provide continuous, regular consultations as patients navigate recovery, both in person and occasionally virtually
• Liaise with patient care teams and collaborate closely with behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care
• Address medical and behavioral health needs to mitigate the negative impacts of social determinants of health
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery planning

What You'll Have

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted North Carolina NP license and prescriptive authority in good standing
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• In possession of or willingness to obtain Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment, if needed
• A minimum of 2 years working with SMI/outpatient
• Familiarity with the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the greater Charlotte area
• Holistic perspective on health and understanding of patient rights
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Comfort with technology and a passion for using technology to improve care delivery

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a full time base salary of $140,000 - $170,000 (based on level & experience). Total compensation includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision, PTO, parental leave, and programs built around employee well-being. The Role

We are seeking a Primary Care Clinician (FNP, MD, or DO) for a 1099 contract role at our soon-to-open Charlotte, NC clinic. This position requires an on-site commitment of 4–5 hours per week.

What You'll Work On

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and manage acute and chronic illnesses while considering their impact on mental health
• Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use, while considering potential interactions with psychiatric medications
• Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings, integrating the findings with mental health care plans
• Educate members on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation integrated with mental health care plans
• Participate in ongoing professional development and attend regular team meetings
• Uphold Amae Health's commitment to providing compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive care

What You'll Have

• NP Degree from an accredited school or MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
• For NP PCP candidates, minimum of 5 years RN experience prior to PCP licensure and 1+ year experience as FNP after completion of clinical hours preferred
• Previous experience working independently as a PCP
• Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and embrace a whole-person care approach
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
• Preferred experience in primary care for patients with severe mental illness

The Role

• Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health

What You'll Have

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist, with a NC license and DEA that are active, unrestricted, and in good standing
• In possession of or willing to obtain Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment if needed
• Prior experience with mental health and/or addiction issues; familiarity with the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the greater Charlotte area

Amae Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base salary range for this role is $270,000 - $300,000 per year on a full time basis and will be adjusted to market cost. The Role

Full-time, on-site Peer Support Specialist at our soon-to-open Charlotte, NC clinic. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm ET.

What You'll Work On

• Provide one-on-one coaching to support members' personal goals, inspire self-discovery, and strengthen skills for recovery
• Plan and lead group activities that encourage participation, build community, and celebrate progress (e.g., in-clinic recovery groups, community outings, day trips)
• Help members access and navigate community resources, including housing, SNAP benefits, employment services, and other social resources
• Conduct field work in the community, including home check-ins and attending events with members as a supportive peer
• Collaborate with teammates and clinical staff to ensure every member receives compassionate, coordinated support
• Complete required administrative tasks and documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision; attend team meetings and case discussions

What You'll Have

• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of stable, personal recovery
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
• Strong coaching and motivational skills, with ability to support individuals through challenges and model effective coping strategies
• Ability to engage effectively one-on-one and in groups; group facilitation experience preferred
• Knowledge of the Charlotte area mental health and social service systems
• Understanding of member rights, confidentiality, and trauma-informed care
• Holistic approach to health and wellness
• Basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, EHR documentation)
