Municipal /Water Resources/ Project Engineer

We have a career opportunity for an experienced engineer who has previous experience with municipal projects including stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer projects. The ideal candidate will have both a technical background and leadership experience to successfully design and manage a broad range of municipal projects.

The successful candidate will self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of infrastructure projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. The position includes involvement in strategic initiatives that will continue to drive the growth of the municipal group in Georgia. This position has the opportunity for a flexible hybrid work schedule with some travel as necessary for client needs.

Location

This position will work from our Atlanta or Augusta office with opportunities in the field when necessary. 

The Impact You Will Have

• Advanced recognition of the need for and development of design
• Perform hydraulic and budget analyses to provide valuable decision-support information for clients and community
• Prepare and/or check and sign off on basic design calculations and plans
• Layout drawings for a component and demonstrate an understanding of relationship to the whole design and purpose
• Design elements/components of a project and coordinate development with other elements and disciplines within the scope of the project
• Demonstrate understanding between specifications, cost estimates and pay applications
• Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, assuring adequate independent QC reviews

What You Will Need

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with municipal projects including stormwater, water distribution, sanitary sewers
• Licensed PE in Georgia is preferred, or desire to obtain licensure quickly 
• Increasing skills in creativity and judgment in application of engineering
• Increased knowledge of software appropriate for the discipline, showing proficiency in multiple programs specific to this
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment
• Experience in ESRI ArcMap GIS and/or hydraulic water modeling is a plus
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus

Roadway Project Manager II

Our growing Atlanta team is hiring a Project Manager. This is an experienced position involving exciting, challenging, and complex assignments with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and will have 16+ years of experience in design of roadways, highways, and interstates. On our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various infrastructure projects for State DOT’s, local municipalities and private clients. You will regularly interact and coordinate designs efforts with the multiple projects and disciplines to develop turnkey projects.

• Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
• Contribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives including expansion of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and road and bridge design services
• Participate in Business Development and Marketing, including networking, preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts.

What You Will Need

• BSCE or related discipline
• Professional Engineer licensure in Georgia

Roadway Project Engineer 

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer with our Civil, Roadway team. The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with local DOT standards. 

Location

This position will report to our Atlanta or Augusta office Tuesday - Thursday. Mondays and Fridays will be worked remote.

What You Will Need

• A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
• Licensed PE in the state of GA or planning to obtain licensure within one year
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
• Progressive experience with developing plans, technical specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements, including OpenRoads
  • Previous experience with GDOT standards and requirements is preferred
• Excellent communication and client relation skills
• Strong organization skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules  #LI-MF1 
• Advanced use of CADD and assure compliance with project CADD standards
• Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
