The Role

As Director, AI Data Operations, you will own the people and operational backbone of a 50+ person team that powers data operations for AiDASH’s proprietary models — across model quality control for customer deliveries, training data generation for AI models, and multi-modal imagery sourcing. The team’s work directly determines the quality of our models, the rate at which our models improve, and what we ship to customers. 

Reporting directly to VP, Product & Process Excellence; you will lead this team through a major transformation — from manual operations to AI-augmented operations — while raising the bar on quality, ownership, and execution. You will thrive in this role if you have run annotation pipelines, training data workflows, or model quality control operations, ideally in an AI product company — and you are ready to bring that experience to a domain where the stakes are high and the work has real-world consequences.

What we're looking for:

• A senior operations leader (12+ years, 5+ managing 50+ headcount) who has built and run quality-critical operations at scale, preferably with experience of annotation/ML data ops 
• Manager-of-managers credentials, with credibility across technical, product, and senior leadership 
• Passionate about driving operational excellence and using AI to reshape work; hands-on experience leading AI-led transformations, even if smaller-scale or in progress. We care about your conviction, AI fluency, and pattern recognition. This is a core requirement for the role

Crucially, you also bring a proven track record of leveraging AI tools to dramatically accelerate and elevate your design work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in UX/product design with a strong portfolio showcasing design principles applied to web and/or mobile platforms
• Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency with AI design tools - must be able to show examples of AI-assisted work in your portfolio (e.g., AI-generated prototypes, AI-enhanced visuals, AI-driven research synthesis)
• Proficiency with core design tools: Figma (required), plus experience with at least two AI-powered design or prototyping tools

We offer a competitive base pay range for this full-time position, which is between $190,000 and $230,000 per year. This range reflects the anticipated base salary for new hires. You’ll lead products across our portfolio, including AIMS for intelligent asset monitoring, IVMS for vegetation and wildfire risk assessment, and CRIS for a unified view of climate and operational risk. Your role will be critical in translating complex technical and operational challenges into actionable product roadmaps that improve grid reliability, safety, and operational efficiency. 

• Asset Inspection and Monitoring System (AIMS): Computer vision and machine learning to detect equipment anomalies, corrosion, structural defects, and failure indicators across transmission and distribution infrastructure  

• Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS): AI-powered assessment of vegetation encroachment risks, growth rates, and wildfire hazards in utility corridors  

• Climate Risk Intelligence System (CRIS): Unified enterprise platform that converges intelligence from AIMS and IVMS to provide a holistic view of wildfire and storm risk, enabling utilities to prioritize investments, optimize maintenance strategies, and make data-driven decisions during both day-to-day operations and emergency events  

You'll take full ownership of your product area, collaborating closely with engineering, customer success, sales, and leadership to deliver solutions from concept to enterprise adoption. Success in this role requires balancing competing priorities, synthesizing insights from diverse stakeholders, and making fast, high-impact decisions in a scaling organization. Working at the intersection of AI, utility operations, and infrastructure resilience, your product leadership will directly prevent outages, enhance emergency preparedness, and strengthen critical infrastructure for millions of people.

The Role 

As a Lead Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in architecting, designing, and building scalable, high-performance platforms across both frontend and backend systems. You will operate as a technical leader and strong individual contributor, driving complex engineering initiatives from conception through delivery while ensuring high standards of code quality, system reliability, and developer productivity. On the frontend, you will lead development of modern web applications using React, guiding component architecture, state management strategies, performance optimization, and frontend testing practices. • Incorporate Agentic AI into Product Workflows — define how autonomous, multi-step AI workflows get designed and delivered across AiDash's utility product portfolio, including asset inspection, vegetation management, and climate risk use cases. 

• Drive end-to-end product ownership — from problem discovery and roadmap definition through engineering collaboration, launch, and adoption — with a bias toward outcomes over output. 

• Translate field operations into AI-native products — work closely with utilities customers to understand maintenance and inspection workflows (e.g., vehicle-based photo capture, asset condition monitoring) and reimagine them as intelligent, automated pipelines. 

• Partner with AI/ML and engineering teams — deeply engage with data science and computer vision teams to shape model capabilities, define evaluation criteria, and make sharp trade-offs between automation accuracy and human review thresholds. 

• Define and track the right metrics — go beyond feature adoption to track workflow automation rates, human-override frequency, time-to-resolution, and downstream operational impact for customers. 

• Stakeholder alignment and communication — synthesize inputs from customers, sales, customer success, and engineering into a coherent roadmap; communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Conduct market and competitive research — stay current on the evolving agentic AI landscape, identify whitespace, and ensure AiDash's approach is differentiated. 

What we're looking for: 

• 4–8 years of product management experience, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS products

• Hands-on experience building or shipping agentic AI systems or autonomous workflow products — not just products that use AI as a feature, but systems where AI agents drive multi-step decision-making
