Job Description:

The Staff Accountant supports the full cycle of accounting operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role is a key contributor to the finance team, with ownership of general ledger activities and responsibility for analyzing financial data, resolving discrepancies, and supporting accurate financial execution. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, the role provides support and coverage for accounts payable as needed.

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

• Maintain ownership of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and appropriate accounting treatment across assigned business segments
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries; analyze financial results and support month-end and year-end close processes
• Perform detailed account reconciliations; investigate variances, determine root causes, and implement appropriate resolutions
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports, schedules, and variance explanations for internal stakeholders
• Evaluate transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with company policy and accounting standards
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data, trend analysis, and insights
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and recommend process improvements to strengthen financial accuracy and efficiency
• Provide backup support and coverage for accounts payable functions, including reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy, coding, and proper approvals
• Assist with payment activities (ACH, wire, and urgent transactions) as needed, ensuring completeness of documentation and adherence to internal controls
• Help address vendor and internal inquiries related to payment status or discrepancies, escalating issues as appropriate
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance and proper accounting treatment when required
• Track, analyze, and reconcile booking-related revenues, expenses, and payments, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements
• Review and interpret financial terms of agreements, offers, and settlements; identify discrepancies and recommend resolutions
• Support settlement processes with partners and artist management by validating financial data and ensuring accurate execution
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure financial terms are properly reflected and executed
• Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making on booking and project-based activities
• Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and financial reviews
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementation of accounting best practices
• Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the level and scope of the role

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to general ledger and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to apply them in practice
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial reconciliations
• Proficiency in JD Edwards and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Bilingual Spanish (preferred)

Payscale: $60,000-$65,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

The Role

The Vice President, Payments & Fraud Prevention to lead AXS's global payments and fraud strategy. This role is central to our mission of delivering a seamless, secure, and reliable ticketing experience for millions of fans worldwide. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep expertise in ecommerce payments and fraud prevention, who can balance operational excellence with forward-looking strategy. You'll partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to drive resiliency, efficiency, and growth. To be successful, the Vice President, Global Fraud Prevention must act as a key cross-functional partner, leveraging deep domain expertise to guide a large, always-on ticketing organization. This includes clearly communicating performance and strategic priorities to the executive team.

What you'll do

• Lead the global payments and fraud prevention strategy for AXS, shaping product roadmap priorities and informing key commercial decisions.
• Oversee the payment and fraud costs, driving and executing a data strategy that delivers actionable insights into all financial aspects of these functions
• Position Payments and Fraud Prevention as growth drivers rather than cost centers, servicing as a thought leader on new initiatives and optimizations, while partnering closely with the AXS Sponsorship team to explore and execute strategic partnerships
• Lead the overall administration of payment-related accounts across all payment providers, including access controls, permissions, configuration oversight, and ongoing account maintenance
• Develop a deep understanding of AXS’ infrastructure, data, and business complexities to maximize team performance, optimize KPIs, and champion improvements in efficiency and automation
• Continuously improve core payments and fraud performance metrics – including authorization rates, cost drivers (e.g. local payment methods), user experience and conversion, fraud incidence, and chargeback recovery
• Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, partners, and industry stakeholders to stay ahead of trends and unlock competitive advantages
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Support and Tech leaders to identify and align opportunities for growth. Work closely with Product and engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities and ensure effective execution
• Oversee the operations of a 24/7 global fraud prevention team based across North America, Europe, and APAC, ensuring continuous coverage, effective shift management, consistent processes, and timely detection and response to fraud events across all markets.
• Stay ahead of regulatory developments in the payments industry and assess their implications for AXS’ operations and strategy
• Proactively identify and report Payments and Fraud risks that could impact business operations, settlement and reconciliation process, or key financial metrics
• Take ownership during major incidents, leading Payments and Fraud response efforts, unblocking teams to maximize mitigation, and driving long-term resiliency strategies
• Maintain clear, accessible documentation of internal processes and vendor escalation protocols to ensure transparency and alignment across the organization

What you'll bring

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) related field
• 10+ years in Payments and/or Fraud Prevention leadership roles, with proven success in high-scale, high-demand environments. Marketplace or complex platform experience strongly preferred.
• Expertise: Deep knowledge of global online Payments and Fraud, including vendor and scheme relationships, alternative/local payment methods, regulatory frameworks, and the technical infrastructure underlying major market payment systems.
• Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong command of the end-to-end payment processing lifecycle, with an understanding of global vs. domestic nuances and their implications for fraud prevention and loss mitigation. Experience in ticketing and/or digital goods industries is highly desirable.
• Global Leadership: Ability and willingness to lead across multiple time zones and geographies, adjusting workflows to align with regional demands.
• Analytical Skills: Highly data-driven, with the ability to define, track, and present KPIs; build detailed analyses; and develop forward-looking financial scenarios and projections.
• People Leadership: Skilled coach and mentor with experience managing and developing large, diverse, and globally distributed teams.
• Executive Communication: Adept at crafting compelling, metrics-driven strategies and presenting them persuasively to senior executives and stakeholders

Pay Scale: $173,215 - $210,000

Job Summary 

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer, M&A Director and the greater AEG Presents' Executive Leadership in all areas of an acquisition lifecycle to drive analysis and strategic decisions, gain consensus among stakeholders, and prepare clear, concise and compelling presentations for leadership. The acquisition lifecycle includes initial financial due diligence, business case modeling and review, understanding the target's accounting processes, integration planning and execution, and post-acquisition partner capital account reporting and accounting. The M&A Finance Manager will also support the Chief Accounting Officer in ad hoc technical accounting projects.

Essential Functions 

• Support CFO, CAO and M&A Director as part of a small, efficient, high-performing M&A Finance team to advance all priorities in the M&A Finance portfolio, diligence efforts which include in-depth and comprehensive financial and operational analysis, quality of earnings, net working capital, strategic fit, and identification of potential integration considerations, with the intent for Executive Leadership to be educated on critical points and findings that may challenge the decision to buy or not.
• Design post-acquisition integration plans, including gaining a deep understanding of the targeted business and accounting processes to evaluate the integration risks and challenges when developing plans across multiple departments (i.e., finance and accounting, legal, operations, etc.).
• Prepare internal reports and presentations for AEG Presents’ Executive Leadership on acquisition performance and financial trends, including acquisition return on investment (ROI).
• Prepare internal reports, presentations, and monthly journal entries for AEG Presents business partners on capital account balances, partner loan balances, periodic results, and calculations of distributable cash.
• Perform ad hoc specialized accounting projects such as impairment analyses, assisting the CAO with the adoption of new accounting pronouncements, and preparing specified accounting guidance memos for use by regional accounting teams.
• Prepare a subset of reports for the annual financial statement audit.
• Work closely with leadership across AEG Presents’ Legal, Tax, Corporate Development, and Regional Finance Teams to achieve the position’s objectives.

Required Qualifications 

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) In Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• CPA preferred
• 6-8 years Of related work experience including public accounting experience
• Hands-on experience working with multiple companies/legal entities and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Direct experience in Transaction Services / Financial Due Diligence preferred, including a successful demonstrated track record of buy-side / sell-side diligence execution.
• The ability to research, understand and apply accounting literature
• Able to quickly convert technical accounting research and interpretation into a practical solution
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Teamwork and collaborative partner management with good interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills – verbal, written and schedules
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and ability to learn required business systems.
• Proficient knowledge of, and adaptability to, accounting/operational software systems.
• Accuracy at all-times even when working under pressure in meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to work effectively with cross-functional executives in a dynamic environment.

Payscale: $110,456.00 - $145,000.00
