Responsibilities:

Adams Street Partners is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join our Investor Relations team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong. This individual will work closely with the Investor Relations, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Investment teams and will be responsible for conducting research, managing and analyzing data, and coordinating the execution of appropriate follow-up activities with prospective and existing clients across Asia, who have committed a total of $17 billion.

This position offers broad exposure to the firm’s strategy and investment capabilities. The ideal candidate is interested in building a long-term career in fundraising and client service, supporting the Singapore and Hong Kong Investor Relations teams, with a focus on Southeast Asia and Greater China. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, and a strong desire to learn the business.

Specifically, this individual will be involved and responsible for:

• Manage client support activities, including due diligence coordination, onboarding processes, preparation of RFI/RFP responses, investor presentations, reporting materials, modeling support, and ad hoc client requests.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Investment teams to develop customized communications, marketing collateral, and targeted client materials.
• Conduct market and prospect research across the region, maintain competitive intelligence systems, and manage tracking databases to identify prospective clients and monitor investment discussions.
• Support the development of compelling and accurate written content that articulates Adams Street Partners’ capabilities, investment processes, and thought leadership.
• Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures to ensure consistency, integrity, timeliness, and quality of communications to prospective and existing clients.
• Lead and execute special projects related to client portfolios and firmwide strategic initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance marketing efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree required; business or marketing focus preferred.
• Relevant experience within a professional services environment, preferably in investment management, consulting, or investment banking, supporting research, analytics, or data management initiatives.
• Strong project management capabilities with exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver under deadline pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize technical and financial information into clear, accurate, and well-structured materials.
• Working knowledge of private markets and the institutional investor and private wealth/banking landscape; demonstrated interest in staying current on industry and investor relations trends.
• High proficiency in CRM and proprietary database systems (ideally Salesforce) and expert command of the MS Office Suite.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to operate independently while exercising sound judgment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in an Asian language preferred.

Responsibilities:

Adams Street Partners seeks to recruit an accomplished business development professional to focus on the firm’s fundraising and client service activities in Asia, with a primary focus on Greater China. This role will join the Investor Relations team, based in Hong Kong.

This individual will be instrumental in expanding and diversifying the firm’s investor base in the region, while providing core account management support to prospective and existing clients across Asia, who have committed a total of $17 billion. This individual will work closely with the Investor Relations, Marketing, Product Strategy, and Investment teams and will be responsible for conducting research, managing and analyzing data, and coordinating the execution of appropriate follow-up activities.

A comprehensive understanding of the regional investor base, strong knowledge across alternative investment products, and excellent sales and relationship management skills are required.

Specifically, this individual will be involved and responsible for:

• Strengthening the delivery of a systematic Asia business development strategy, generating new revenue initiatives through disciplined prospecting and pipeline management.
•  Develop, broaden, and maintain long-term relationships with institutional, private wealth, and private bank investors, financial institutions, and other market participants.
• Represent Adams Street’s full product platform, educating clients and prospects on portfolio construction opportunities and appropriate strategy inclusion.
• Build and manage a qualified investor pipeline through proactive conversion of prospects into committed mandates, leveraging core and customized product solutions.
• Manage the full client lifecycle, including due diligence processes, annual subscription and closing cycles, investor reporting coordination, and ongoing client servicing.
• Serve as a consultative advisor to clients on portfolio construction, rebalancing, and private equity program development, leveraging the global IR/client service platform as appropriate.
• Structure and deliver effective investor presentations and thought leadership initiatives, including conferences, white papers, and spokesperson engagements to strengthen the Adams Street brand.
• Partner closely with Product Strategy, Investment Strategy, and investment teams to ensure coordinated product distribution and alignment with firm growth objectives.

Qualifications:

• Strong academic credentials required; advanced degree or professional designation preferred. 
• Demonstrated track record in sales and account management within a professional services environment, preferably in investment management.
• High-energy, entrepreneurial business developer with a strategic mindset, strong results orientation, and the ability to operate independently.
• Deep knowledge of private markets and the institutional, private wealth, and banking investor landscape, with a commitment to staying current on industry and investor relations trends.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex alternative investment strategies clearly and persuasively, synthesize technical information, and produce high-quality client-facing materials.
• Strong project management discipline with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and execute under deadline pressure.
• High proficiency in CRM and proprietary database systems (ideally Salesforce) and expert command of the MS Office Suite.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin preferred.

Reporting to the Global Head of Consultant Relations, the primary role of the Vice President, Investor Relations is to place Adams Street Partners in a position to significantly grow its business through the development and enhancement of existing investment consultant relationships with institutional consulting firms headquartered in the East Coast and parts of the Mid-Western US.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent Adams Street Partners' full product line and develop and maintain world-class relationships with research, field consultants, and senior executives at investment consulting firms within assigned geography
• Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned investment consulting firms, including their business strategy and competitors, client roster, key decision-makers/influencers and their biases, manager selection process, and communication preferences
• Generate buy-ratings and effectively position the firm’s investment strategies and services
• Proactively identify business development opportunities within a consultant’s client roster and coordinate with relevant institutional sales colleagues to target and close the opportunities
• Leverage communication opportunities with clients and prospects to further Adams Street Partners' brand by representing the firm as a consultative thought leader, presenter/speaker, and contributor to content pieces.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the consultant relationship through the introduction of relevant investment professionals and timely thought leadership
• Consistently document interaction with consultants in the firm’s CRM system
• Cultivate strong internal relationships and stay current on firm strategy, investments, and competitive landscape.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree. MBA and/or CFA will be viewed favorably
• A demonstrable track record of raising assets with consultants, institutional investors, wealth channel
• Solid private markets experience is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of assigned investment consulting firms with an ability to understand the perspective of different types of client organizations
• Proven ability to establish and execute on a sales strategy
• Strong relationship development and management skills
• Bring a total portfolio perspective and ability to speak credibly about new investments and developments within clients’ portfolios
