Position Information

- Shift: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm ET, Monday - Friday
Join our team and play a key role in protecting our customers and company from fraud. In this role, you’ll review new direct deposit applications, investigate suspicious activity, and verify critical information like bank statements and photo IDs to ensure authenticity. You’ll handle and document fraud cases, support internal and external audits, and collaborate closely with our developer teams as a subject matter expert to help shape secure new features and workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Review new payroll direct deposit applications to identify potential fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate risk triggers to determine appropriate next steps and mitigate potential threats.
- Monitor and review suspicious accounts to detect unusual or fraudulent activity.
- Examine bank statements and supporting documentation to verify authenticity.
- Validate customer identities by reviewing and confirming government-issued photo IDs.
- Accurately document and manage reported fraud cases from initial report through resolution.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing thorough and accurate documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal development teams to support the implementation of new features and workflows.
- Review and resolve potential OFAC matches to ensure compliance with federal regulations.

What You’ll Need:
- Experience in risk management, underwriting, or fraud prevention (preferably within the fintech or payments industry).

What You’ll Be Doing:
Looking for meaningful, short-term work this season? This role offers a reliable flat rate—no commissions, no pressure. You'll have real conversations with prospective customers, helping them explore whether our accounting and payroll software is the right fit. Integrity guides every interaction: if the software doesn't yet do what a customer needs, you'll pass that feedback along to our team and, with their permission, reconnect if things change.
- Contact potential customers and follow up with leads to discuss how Patriot’s software can benefit their business.
- Make connections with customers by providing personalized customer service via phone, live online chat, or email (no robots here!).
- Guide new customers through the initial setup process.
- Use knowledge of Patriot’s accounting and payroll software to answer customers’ questions.
- Be an internal customer advocate to help influence product development and new features.
- Constantly learn and expand on your software knowledge, our new features, and accounting and payroll skills.

What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1-2+ years of inside customer sales experience (SaaS preferred)

- Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members through remote and in-person interactions, including attending meetings as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:
We’re hiring a mid-level People Operations Generalist to own key parts of the employee experience end-to-end with a particular focus on recruiting support, benefits administration, and multi-state compliance. This is not a coordinator role. We need someone who can operate independently, make sound judgment calls, and bring both grit and empathy to a broad scope of work.
You'll partner closely with People Operations, Finance, and managers across the company. You are someone who learns tools quickly and is genuinely excited about applying AI and automation to make HR work better for our team across the US. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to stay in a true HR generalist path for the next 2–4 years and continue building depth in People Operations.
Recruiting: 35-45%
- Support full-cycle recruiting across tech and customer-facing roles from job posting through onboarding
- Partner with the Sr. Recruiter and hiring managers on interview coordination, candidate communication, and offer execution
- Own onboarding logistics: new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, benefits enrollment, and system setup
- Keep ATS and HRIS data current; identify recruiting process gaps and raise solutions proactively
Benefits and People Ops administration: 35-45%
- Administer employee benefits programs: enrollments, life events, billing reconciliation, and employee questions
- Manage leave administration (FMLA, ADA, parental leave, disability) with appropriate documentation and coordination
- Handle workers' compensation and unemployment claims with timeliness and care
- Maintain and audit electronic employee personnel files; ensure HRIS accuracy
- Support offboarding, separation documentation, and final pay coordination
- Own ACA tracking and compliance reporting
Performance and employee support: 15%
- Support performance review cycles, reminders, and follow-up
- Support managers with documentation, job descriptions, salary benchmarking, performance evaluations, and basic performance questions
- Assist with employee concerns and help route issues appropriately
- Support projects tied to employee experience, communication, and engagement
General People Ops support: 15%
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across our U.S. footprint
- Support annual compliance audits, federal/state reporting (EEO-1, etc.), and required notices
- Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures
- Partner with HR and Legal on compliance-related projects
- Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures

What You’ll Need:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HR/People Operations covering recruiting, benefits, and leave administration.
- A 2 or 4-year degree in HR, Business, or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Must have experience with, or strong working knowledge of, supporting employees in a multi-state U.S. organization, including handling state-by-state compliance differences in areas like leave, pay practices, required notices, benefits, and general employment policies.
- Strong working knowledge of federal employment law: FMLA, ADA, ACA, FLSA, EEO — and a genuine drive to stay current
- Experience with ACA compliance, including tracking and reporting
- Comfortable with HRIS, ATS, and performance tools, specific platforms matter less than your ability to learn them quickly
- Sharp written and verbal communication: clear, direct, and human
- High judgment when handling sensitive and confidential employee matters
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities without dropping the ball
- Experience in a fast-paced SaaS, tech, or high-growth environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be willing to work in the Canton, OH headquarters 1-2 days per week.

Summary:
- Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
- Job Status: Full Time

- Shift: 8 am ET - 5 pm ET, Monday - Friday
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll design, build, and run reliable, scalable infrastructure with a strong platform engineering and SRE mindset. This is a hands-on role where you’ll own critical platform components (including cloud networking), reduce operational risk and toil, and help set technical direction.
You’ll partner closely with application and security teams, stay deep in the systems you own, and mentor other engineers while continuously improving reliability, performance, and security across the platform. Day to day, that means you’ll:
- Lead platform engineering initiatives using Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and Infrastructure as Code
- Design and operate CI/CD platforms and deployment strategies to enable safe, low-risk releases
- Build and maintain strong observability foundations, including metrics, logging, alerting, and dashboards tied to service health
- Design, build, and operate scalable, secure AWS infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, VPNs, and Transit Gateway
- Own and evolve cloud networking and connectivity architecture, ensuring secure, reliable, and performant communication between services
- Configure and manage Cloudflare to support edge security (including WAF, DDoS protection, and rate limiting), optimize CDN performance and caching strategies, and handle DNS and traffic management.
- Actively participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless post-mortems to drive durable corrective actions
- Strengthen security and compliance across infrastructure, including IAM, network security, container security, and SOC2 alignment
- Define and improve service reliability through SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Reduce operational toil through automation and standardized platform patterns
- Identify and drive cost optimization, including cloud and network egress efficiency
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture

- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- AWS, including networking and connectivity design
- Kubernetes (EKS)
- Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or similar)
- CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Experience configuring and operating Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, edge security)
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and operational tooling
- Proven experience owning production systems with high availability, performance, and security requirements
- Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (routing, load balancing, security groups, NACLs)
- Strong understanding of SRE principles and operational excellence
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Hands-on experience improving observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-team initiatives
- Exposure to AI-assisted operations or intelligent automation

AI tools do not make hiring decisions—all decisions are made by our human hiring team. All applicants are evaluated based on their qualifications, skills, and experience.

AI Usage
- AI may analyze an applicant's video, including facial expressions, as part of assessing position fit.
- AI tools may be used during interviews for note-taking, evaluating responses, and generating interview summaries.
On-Camera Video Interviews
- All interviews are conducted via video with cameras on to maintain compliance and security standards.
- Patriot is a camera-on company for all video interactions.
Photo Capture for Security
- If selected to interview, you may be asked to provide or have a photo captured.
- This photo is used only to verify that the same candidate is present throughout all interview stages.
- Photos are not shared externally, used for any other purpose, or stored after the interview process. They are securely disposed of once the process is complete.
Privacy & Data Use
- Any photos are used solely for candidate verification.
- Geolocation tools may be used only to verify your location and ensure interview integrity.
- All geolocation use is limited to security and compliance needs and follows all applicable privacy laws.
