Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Java development, experience in Azure Cloud environments, and the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to a small team. Exposure to AI-driven solutions is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java applications
- Build and enhance microservices architectures using Spring Boot and related frameworks
- Integrate AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI services, LLM APIs) into applications
- Develop intelligent features such as chatbots, recommendation engines, or automation workflows
- Deploy and manage applications within Azure Cloud environments
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers or small teams
- Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices in coding, security, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications and AI integrations
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
- Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, cloud computing, and backend engineering
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Java development
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure DevOps)
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML solutions (e.g., REST-based AI APIs, LLMs, or Azure AI services)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Proven experience mentoring or managing a small team or leading modules/projects
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Generative AI use cases (e.g., chatbots, summarization, RAG pipelines)
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks or tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain)
- Experience with vector databases or semantic search technologies
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Azure certifications are a plus

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Java Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications. This role combines deep technical expertise in Java development with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring teams, driving architectural decisions, and integrating AI-driven solutions within modern cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade Java applications
- Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions preferably on Azure Cloud
- Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities (e.g., APIs, models, automation) into business applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to a team of developers
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development frameworks
- Oversee code reviews, performance optimization, and system troubleshooting
- Manage project timelines, delivery commitments, and resource planning
- Ensure CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native development standards are followed
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, particularly in AI, cloud computing, and microservices architecture
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5- 7+ years of experience in Java development, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices architecture)
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS, Azure DevOps)
- Experience integrating AI/ML services (e.g., REST APIs, Azure AI, OpenAI, or similar platforms)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Proven experience in leading development teams and delivering complex projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI frameworks or tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or cloud-based AI services)

Own technical envisioning, design, project scope and working with the project team to deploy Azure-based solutions that meet our client’s needs.

Translate requirements into a technical design leveraging existing tools, services and frameworks.

Drive design and deployment of the client’s workloads into Azure by providing architectural guidance (including, design, implementation and deployment), supporting development of the client’s cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.

Keep abreast of emerging technology trends and their impact on cloud solutions.

Identify, validate, and grow opportunities to accelerate consumption in high potential customer accounts in partnership with the sales team, by driving solution architecture for both Microsoft and third-party solutions.

As a senior consultant, you are required to train, shadow, and provide knowledge transfer to junior developers and other technology teams.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science or a related field

5-7 years of experience in application development specializing in C# .NET Framework, Angular, Microservices, React, Node.

Some relevant working experience in Azure, Azure App Services, Microsoft, and Agile

A passion for building front-end applications and cloud-native applications using PaaS, containers, serverless and modern front-end JS/TS.

Desire for continuous learning and new technology to be used in the cloud space.

Desire to be hands-on code but able to develop complex architectures in the cloud.

Experience working in a consulting environment.

Experience working in a major cloud platform, Azure, AWS, or GCP. Azure Preferred.

Very knowledgeable in OOA/OOD and Design Patterns.

Understanding of the Agile process and DevOps.

Interest in or experience in Mobile, IoT, Blockchain applications.

Strong analytical problem-solving ability, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.

Relevant certifications in Azure, Microsoft, Agile, etc.
