What We Need

The Data Quality Engineer  is a subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and integrity of data across the 2K gaming platform. This role involves designing and maintaining sophisticated systems to validate game telemetry, player data, and analytics pipelines. As a senior-level individual contributor, you will drive the technical direction for data quality standards, helping cross-functional teams make confident, data-driven decisions regarding gameplay, performance, and the player experience.

• Develop and maintain advanced automated data quality checks for game telemetry, player events, and backend systems.

• Advanced SQL proficiency and expertise in managing and querying large, complex

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the gaming industry or similar high-concurrency, real-time data

Our team is responsible for the infrastructure and operations of all production systems supporting consumers, developers, and customer account services under the 2K label. What We Need

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Operations Center Analyst to join our 24/7 Technical Operations Center team. This role is a vital part of our live service operations, critical for maintaining the high availability, performance, and reliability of our global game infrastructure. You will work closely with other technical teams to ensure 2K’s global community enjoys an uninterrupted gaming experience and our studios enjoy uninterrupted development time on their titles. 

The ideal candidate is a composed professional who is eager to grow their technical expertise in incident, problem, and service request management. You must be adept at handling immediate, high-pressure incident responses while remaining process-oriented to help optimize operational workflows and service delivery. A fundamental understanding of IT and technology is a must, with preference given to strong troubleshooters with a bias towards automation.

• Actively monitoring and acting as a key escalation point for both expected and unexpected events involving production applications, systems, and cloud infrastructure.

The Lead Data Quality Engineer is a key management role responsible for overseeing the data quality lifecycle within the 2K Data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a track record for leading small teams in a highly technical, process-driven environment.

You'll partner directly with Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Development teams, bringing deep operational expertise to manage complex systems, champion rigorous incident management processes, and secure the best possible experience for our millions of players at scale.

What You Will Do

• Lead by example in live service monitoring, incident response, and service restoration across 2K's global game platforms.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for the TOC team, leading and coordinating the technical response during high-severity incidents to ensure rapid service recovery.
• Partner closely with Infrastructure, SRE, and Development teams to define shared operational goals, improve system observability, and drive the delivery of robust, high-availability services.
• Refine, document, and champion TOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Runbooks, ensuring alignment, transparency, and consistent execution of operational processes across all shifts.
• Establish, enforce, and technically audit operational best practices across the engineering organization, ensuring deployment processes, service configuration, and monitoring strategies meet the highest standards for service health and stability.

• The Lead: 5+ years in high-volume Tech Ops, SRE, or NOC environments, with 2+ years leading major Incident Management efforts.
• Cloud & OS Expert: Expert-level knowledge of AWS (GCP/Azure a plus) and advanced administration skills in both Linux and Windows production environments.
• Virtualization Specialist: Deep hands-on experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) in enterprise environments. Familiarity with other platforms like Proxmox, KVM, Hyper-V, or WSL is a plus.
• Automation Mindset: Deep familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Pulumi.
• Networking Pro: Expertise in networking protocols, firewall permissions, and the ability to perform deep-dive network triage under pressure.
• Full Stack Passion: You are a lifelong learner passionate about the entire stack. You actively pursue formal training and certifications to stay ahead of the curve.
