FT Security Officer (1st Shift)

Site Location: Toyota Battery Manufacturing Plant – Liberty, NC

Security Officer $17.50 p/hr.

1st Shift - Friday thru Monday 7:00am - 3:00pm
(Tuesday thru Thursday Off) - 32 Hours Per Week

What You'll Do

• Rover — Vehicle/foot patrols; deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity
• Gatehouse — Access control; greet and ID residents/guests, log vehicles, announce visitors
• Front Desk — Customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements

Security Officer Positions:

• Rover:
  • Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse:
  • Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk:
  • Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications: 

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state licensing, if applicable
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience 
• Minimum of one year of security experience 
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
