In 2018, we began with a WhatsApp group with a simple hypothesis: people in tier-2/3 towns weren’t really using the internet meaningfully yet. We believed that if we started with local content in their own language, they’d come back every day; once there was a habit and trust, that same space could naturally grow into classifieds and, eventually, something they used for almost everything online.This spark became Lokal. Our first instinct was to put everything in one place & one app - local updates, classifieds, jobs, matrimony and more. It worked, till it stopped working. About the Role

As a Strategy Intern, you will work closely with the leadership team across our Social and Marketplace businesses (Dostt, Eaze & AstroLokal). You'll gain hands-on exposure to business strategy, growth initiatives, operations, and cross-functional execution while solving real business problems.

This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical thinking, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to understand how high-growth startups make strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support strategic initiatives across multiple business verticals.
• Conduct market, competitor, and user research to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyze business metrics, user funnels, pricing, and operational data to generate actionable insights.
• Build reports, dashboards, and presentations to support business reviews and decision-making.
• Assist in planning and executing growth experiments across product and operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Business, and Operations teams on cross-functional projects.
• Help streamline operational processes and improve business efficiency.
• Track key business metrics and monitor the impact of ongoing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Final-year undergraduate student or MBA student, or a recent graduate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with data in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent communication and structured thinking.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
• High ownership and attention to detail.

Good to Have

• Previous internship experience in Strategy, Consulting, Business Operations, Product, or Growth.
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, or data visualization tools.
• Exposure to startup environments.
