Following 9/11, the community and civic planning process that resulted in the World Trade Center master plan in 2003 envisioned a new performing arts center as one of the anchors of the site. The role:
PAC NYC is seeking a part-time (up to 10 hours / week) Production HR Assistant who will be working under the Production Payroll Specialist & Administration Manager within the Production Department. This job will assist with the administrative tasks for the departments with a focus on HR onboarding tasks for weekly payroll with the occasional tasks of petty cash and invoice tracking.
Your key responsibilities:
- Assist in the onboarding of new hires for the production department.
- Instruct them through the process on paper or on a computer
- Check I-9 paperwork and identification
- Add those hires into ADP (In JV8 or DWU as appropriate)
- File their paperwork on People and Culture archive folders
- Cross reference the relevant information to Curtain Time
- As directed, assist with the weekly payroll process
- Add non union and teamster employees into Curtain Time
- Assist in the creation of payroll spreadsheet for DWU
- Assist with monthly benefit reports for Production Labor unions as assigned
- Petty Cash Counting and Tracking as Assigned
- Invoice Tracking as assigned
- Other related tasks as assigned and required.
Compensation:
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. The hourly rate is $31.50, with overtime payable at 1.5 times the hourly rate for any hours worked in excess of 40 hours / week.
Hours and availability requirements
The ideal candidate would be available for about 5-10 hours a week on an as needed basis in weeks when PAC NYC has a high volume of new hires. A week of training will be required (with the timing of this training to be mutually agreed), with high volume weeks anticipated in September – November 2026. Employee would be advised of anticipated work weeks on a quarterly basis.
