We're looking for a Junior Product Owner to help shape the future of our Product SDKs. You'll own the day-to-day management of the product backlog, working closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure the team is always focused on the highest-value work.
You'll have the autonomy to prioritize incoming requests, make day-to-day product decisions, and keep work moving forward. At the same time, you'll be supported by a Senior Product Owner, who will provide strategic direction, mentoring, and guidance on the long-term product roadmap. It's an ideal opportunity for someone looking to grow into a Product Owner role with real ownership from day one.
You'll own the day-to-day product backlog and prioritization from the start, giving you real influence over how the product evolves. A Senior Product Owner will partner with you on long-term roadmap planning, strategic initiatives, and product direction, providing coaching and mentorship as you grow.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously refine the product backlog, prioritizing work together with the engineering team
- Assess incoming requests, bugs, and feature ideas, adjusting priorities as business needs evolve
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, clarify requirements, and make informed day-to-day prioritization decisions
- Define clear product epics with business context and acceptance criteria, enabling the engineering team to break them down into implementation tasks
- Monitor delivery progress and proactively identify risks or blockers
- Provide regular updates on backlog status and delivery progress to stakeholders
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact between engineering and business stakeholders
- Facilitate or support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Slovak or Czech (spoken and written)
- Comfortable discussing software development with engineers and understanding technical trade-offs. A computer science degree isn't required, but curiosity about technology and willingness to learn are important.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to gather the right information from stakeholders and translate it into clear product requirements
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment
- Confidence to make independent day-to-day prioritization and scope decisions while balancing business and engineering needs
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum practices
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, Scrum Master, or in another cross-functional software delivery role
- Experience working with software development teams
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools

Salary starting from: 1,500 EUR/gross monthly and it istied to competency and technical evaluation.
