African Safari Group (ASG) is a leading luxury safari operator specialising in tailor-made travel experiences across Southern and East Africa. We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Head of Marketing to lead our marketing function, strengthen our brand, and drive business growth through innovative, data-driven marketing strategies.

The Role

As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing ASG's marketing strategy, overseeing brand management, digital marketing, lead generation, content, and campaign performance. Working closely with the executive team, Sales, and Product, you will ensure marketing initiatives support business objectives, generate qualified leads, and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy.
• Lead and mentor the marketing team.
• Manage the ASG brand across all marketing channels.
• Drive digital marketing, including SEO, paid media, email marketing, and social media.
• Oversee content creation and campaign management.
• Work closely with Sales to generate high-quality leads and improve conversion.
• Monitor marketing performance, budgets, and ROI.
• Analyse market trends and identify new growth opportunities.
• Manage relationships with agencies, partners, and suppliers.

Requirements

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• 7+ years of marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, lead generation, and campaign management.
• Experience managing budgets and measuring marketing performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience in luxury travel, tourism, hospitality, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and SEO.
