Costa Navarino is looking for a Bakery Chef de Partie. The selected candidate will demonstrate proper and safe usage of all bakery equipment, have knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation with HAACP. They will respond appropriately to quests needs while preparing and baking different bread types with brand standards. They will help the Head Baker to develop new products for the outlets while supporting food cost and food waste. They will check all the outlets orders and BEO and assist and oversee subordinates while maintaining adequate supply and ensures proper storage and refrigeration. They will decorate themed buffets set up and assist with the material orders and check the deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cleanliness and proper operation of equipment and work areas prior to production, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Responsible for the quality of products, inventory, and materials required for the production of restaurant/outlet menus.

• Manage daily stock orders, ensuring consistent quality and cost efficiency for the hotel/resort’s F&B operations.

• Coordinate the shaping, filling, and baking of breads and pastries in batches.

• Follow all kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.

• Communicate daily with colleagues and supervisors to maintain open and clear communication.

• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within given deadlines.

• Assist with additional duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or other members of management.

• Ensure full compliance with Food Safety Standards – HACCP / DIVERSEY or other relevant systems.

Requirements

• Pastry / Bakery Degree
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a high-quality environment such as a luxury restaurant, hotel, or cruise ship, with exposure to various catering styles (a la carte and buffet).
• Strong knowledge of production, preparation, and presentation standards in bakery operations.
• Ability to speak, write and converse freely in both Greek and English
• Good hygiene knowledge and HACCP Standards
• High energy, ability to work under pressure, good organizational skills and interpersonal skills
• Lead by example
• Compliance with the cleaning schedule
