Job Description
Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for some of the largest and most forward-thinking and desirable companies in the world to work for. The large hyperscale data center campuses we design throughout the U.S. will give you the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most complex engineering-driven projects being built today. Our clients are relationship based and truly value the work we do for them, affording us the opportunity to contribute to society’s technological and connected community through the design of the critical infrastructure that is the foundation of these projects.
As a Project Mechanical Engineer on our Data Center team, you will be a part of the firm’s largest and most complex projects. You will serve as a project manager on some projects and lead design engineer on others. A typical day includes preparing planning and design documents, processing design calculations, and developing and maintaining team and client standards. You may lead quality assurance/quality control and act as an advisor on complex projects. You will also coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and other consultants.

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our industry-leading Data Center Project Management team. In this role, you will oversee large, multi-disciplinary design projects—including site investigations, development, new facilities, and major utility infrastructure—ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
As the project lead, you’ll coordinate across technical teams, manage resources, and drive quality execution for high-priority projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute innovative solutions that support global digital infrastructure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Description
Join Olsson’s Data Center Design team as a remote Senior Fire Protection Engineer, where you’ll take the lead on complex, mission-critical projects, including hyperscale data centers and secure facilities. This is a highly visible role within a multidisciplinary team known for delivering innovative, high-performance building systems.
You’ll provide technical leadership on fire protection strategies that safeguard infrastructure, protect assets, and meet the most rigorous code and client requirements. You’ll collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and security professionals across sectors such as data centers, healthcare, higher education, commercial, industrial and federal facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of fire protection systems for secure and mission-critical facilities
- Develop and review fire suppression, alarm, and life safety system designs to meet client and code requirements (NFPA, IBC, IFC, UFCs, etc.)
- Serve as the technical expert and client liaison for fire protection scopes on data center and secure facility projects
- Coordinate across disciplines to ensure fully integrated system design
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
- Support proposal development and contribute to project scope and scheduling
- Occasionally travel to project sites or other Olsson offices as needed (approximately 15–25%)

Job Description
As a BMS/Control Systems Design Engineer you will be joining a fun, growing, team of other Electrical and Control System Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. Your primary role will be designing instrumentation and control systems for Data Centers. Projects range from high level conceptual designs, detailed site designs and retrofits, factory witness testing of equipment, and construction administration and verification. This role will communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify Data Center Building Management Systems are designed and constructed properly. You will be responsible for managing your tasks including the Building Management System (BMS) design, specifications, and drawings. This position may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Additional duties will include:
- Selection and specification of process instrumentation.
- Selection and specification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
- Selection and specification of networking components and media including copper, fiber, and wireless hardware.
- Development of control system (BMS) sequences of operations.
- Submittal review and field inspections.

Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team to help support the design development of the instrumentation and control systems associated with electrical distribution systems. The Electrical Instrumentation Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise with respect to system modernization and maintenance, will create plans, schematics, and one-lines, and will lead and support small and large instrumentation and controls projects with a focus on reliability and technical execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support instrumentation-related threat mitigation action plans and incident management investigations and actions
- Ensure the smooth real-time operation of the instrumentation system by performing and analyzing technical studies and data, developing strategies and alternatives, and establishing and documenting operating procedures
- Works within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages for low and medium voltage electrical infrastructure
- Lead the Instrumentation and Control design for projects and define control scheme in alignment with industry and client standards to satisfy power system reliability requirements
- Review data sheets, control block diagrams, and functional/ operational descriptions for all instrumentation related projects
- Provide technical leadership and serves as a subject matter expert, delivering professional and technical guidance on programs, projects and initiatives.
- Mentor and support team members, offering guidance and encouraging initiative while helping them develop as engineers and technical leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering
- 7+ years’ experience in instrumentation and control systems within the industrial electrical and/or hyperscale data center sector

Job Description
As an Instrumentation and Controls Project Engineer you will be joining a growing team of other Electrical and Control System Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. This position will be designing instrumentation and control systems for Data Centers. Projects range from high level conceptual designs, detailed site designs and retrofits, factory witness testing of equipment, and construction administration and verification. This role will communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify Data Center Building Management Systems are designed and constructed properly. You will be responsible for managing your tasks including the Building Management System (BMS) design, specifications, and drawings. This position may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Additional duties will include:
- Selection and specification of process instrumentation.
- Selection and specification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
- Selection and specification of networking components and media including copper, fiber, and wireless hardware.
- Development of control system (BMS) sequences of operations.
- Submittal review and field inspections.

We are seeking an experienced skilled Project Manager to join our industry-leading Data Center Project Management team. In this role, you will serve as a lead project manager, ensuring successful project deliverables and completion for complex multiple-discipline and high-priority projects. About the Role
We are looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to lead product development on some of the most strategically important initiatives at Wonderschool. You’ll spend your time working directly with customers (traveling as needed), uncovering pain points, and building AI-powered solutions that drive measurable impact across revenue, operational efficiency, and user experience. You’ll act like a founder inside the company: identifying problems, shipping code, driving adoption, and iterating quickly based on what you learn. This role blends engineering, product, operations, and business leadership, and is ideal for someone who has launched products, acquired users, and driven growth independently. You will work closely with our sales, onboarding, and account management teams to automate workflows, build better customer experiences, and unlock new growth.
This role is inspired by best-in-class FDSEs at companies like Palantir and is perfect for builders who love solving real-world problems in the field, not from behind a desk.
What You’ll Do
Work directly with users and internal teams to identify high-leverage problems and ship product solutions. Write production code (approximately 50% of your time) and ship weekly improvements across the customer journey. Use tools like Widesurf, Cursor, and other AI accelerators to increase your velocity and quality of output. Build and deploy AI-powered tooling that eliminates manual effort and improves the experience for providers, parents, and government partners. Automate onboarding flows, proposal generation, reporting processes, and other operational workflows. Own full loops: talk to users, design solutions, write code, test, deploy, and monitor adoption.
