Join our ambitious Partner Portal team, where you'll help develop and maintain a cutting-edge self-service platform for Shift4's commercial teams, including internal sales and external partners. This portal is used for sales, customer service and support, merchant portfolio management, and various internal divisions (L&D, Marketing, and Finance). It has been operating successfully in the American market for over two years and is now starting to expand into Europe.

Our current strategic directions include:

• International development (USA, Europe, Canada, UK, IE, Australia and more);
• Core project enhancementImplementation of AI solutions, GDPR compliance;
• Deprecation of legacy systems and all processes from leads (opportunity) to customer issues management after going live.

Responsibilities

• Run as Team Lead (developers' HR manager). Lead Tech grooming and/or requirements gathering/validation sessions, planning with dedicated squad;
• Lead the technical strategy and implementation of our product (dedicated team responsible for Frontend architecture and strategy, still backend / API level/integrations - in scope and important managing developers, supporting leadership. Deliver reliability and efficiency for process automation, internal tools;
• Help Product director and managers by advising how the system works or how a solution could be implemented, represent product as Technical lead;
• Assist with mentoring team members to grow technically, fostering a culture of learning and excellence or simple knowledge sharing sessions coordination;
• Ensure high-quality coding standards and knowledge sharing, related processes;
• Collaborate with top-tier engineers from other teams, taking on the most challenging projects;
• Enjoy complete creative freedom to make decisions and implement them from scratch with the support of your team;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Analysts, QA, and other team members to achieve elegant solutions which satisfy business needs, goals, and objectives.

Requirements

• Experience working with application building / programming;
• Solid experience working with backend development;
• Experience working with integrations, APIs, databases;
• Experience working with systems maintenance;
• Be familiar with agile software development lifecycle (SDLC);
• Ability independently perform technical analysis with proactive communication / contacting team members or other related squads;
• Be flexible and demonstrate the ability to execute on deadlines;
• Experience working in an international context and solid English (written and spoken). 

Technical Skills Required

• Programming Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript;
• Backend Framework: NestJS;
• Frontend Technologies: Experience with JavaScript frameworks React (version 18.2.0);
• Database: Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL etc.);
• ORM: TypeORM;
• Version Control: Git;
• Containerization: Docker;
• Testing: Jest for unit and e2e testing, Cypress (for end-to-end testing), Vitest (for unit and integration testing), Testing Library (React);
• Styling: Tailwind CSS (version 3.2.4), PostCSS;
• Linting and Formatting: ESLint, Prettier, Stylelint;
• Build Tools: Vite (as the project bundler and dev server), Rollup (implied by Vite ecosystem).
