• Own and deliver user-facing features end-to-end (UI + integration) with clear acceptance criteria, automated tests, and production monitoring.
• Drive measurable usability improvements for key flows using analytics and user feedback (e.g., increase task completion or reduce friction on target metrics).
• Establish and evolve reusable UI primitives and Storybook documentation to increase component reuse and reduce duplication across the product.
• Define and enforce frontend standards for testing, accessibility, and performance; integrate checks into CI to reduce regressions.
• Optimize critical user journeys for performance and reliability (Core Web Vitals, payload reduction, render optimisation).
• Mentor peers through code reviews, workshops, and knowledge shares to raise team frontend craftsmanship.
• Collaborate closely with Product, UX/UI Designers, Backend, QA, and DevOps to align technical choices with product outcomes

{ following_qualifications_would_be_in_line_with_our_desired_profile_for_this_position: [

• Proven experience building production frontend applications using Vue and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, with strong understanding of UI architecture, component design, and state management patterns.
• Practical experience with REST API integration and client-server resilience patterns.
• Hands-on experience with testing and automation (preferred: Playwright, Vitest; familiarity with Jest/Selenium is a plus).
• Demonstrable knowledge of frontend performance optimization and measuring improvements (lab and field metrics).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, frontend build tooling (Vite/bundlers), and browser debugging tools.
• Experience using monitoring or observability tools (e.g., Grafana) to inform post-release actions

Mission:

Transform Nextcloud Office into a high-performance, modern web-based productivity suite, going beyond traditional DOM-driven applications. You will own the look and feel of the product, ensuring that even the most complex documents and spreadsheets remain fast, smooth, and responsive under heavy load.

Responsibilities:

• Build new frontend features such as advanced charts, conditional formatting, and interactive document elements
• Develop fast, responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript
• Ensure a smooth 60fps experience across all user interactions (scrolling, typing, zooming)
• Move performance-critical rendering logic from the DOM to Canvas or hardware-accelerated technologies
• Refactor legacy styles into a modern, performance-optimized CSS system based on variables (supporting dark mode and high-contrast themes)
• Implement responsive UI patterns such as optimistic UI to improve perceived performance
• Collaborate with other teams to optimize latency and real-time user experience
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development while focusing on performance, edge cases, and UI quality

Requirements:

Technical

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript (ESNext)
• Deep understanding of DOM behavior and performance trade-offs
• Experience with Canvas API or rendering libraries (e.g., PixiJS or Fabric.js)
• Solid knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques
• Experience using Web Workers to offload work from the main thread
• Experience with modern CSS and performance-oriented styling

AI & Development

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor or similar)
• Ability to use AI as a productivity multiplier without compromising code quality

Profile

• Strong focus on smooth UI and rendering performance (60fps mindset)
• High level of English proficiency, with strong communication skills in an international team environment
• Attention to detail in user experience and visual quality
• Background in demanding frontend environments (e.g., interactive apps, data visualization, or graphics-heavy web applications)

As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you’ll take ownership of our IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and smooth collaboration across teams. What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable IT infrastructure components across network, identity, and endpoint systems
• Manage and enhance our MDM landscape for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, including patch and lifecycle management
• Implement automation, workflows, and integrations across tools such as Google Workspace, Okta, Zscaler, or Atlassian
• Troubleshoot complex issues (2nd/3rd level) and support IT projects, migrations, and rollouts

What you will need to succeed

• Degree or vocational training in IT or equivalent experience, with 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure
• Strong knowledge in at least two of Google Workspace, Okta (especially Workflows), Zscaler, or Atlassian
• Experience with automation/scripting (e.g Python, GoogleScript, JavaScript, Powershell)
• Strong English skills: you feel confident negotiating and communication clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Solid understanding of security best practices, compliance, and a proactive approach to system improvement
• Analytical thinking, structured working style and ability to work autonomously in a collaborative team environment
