• Technical Ownership: Drive technical outcomes through meticulous understanding of system performance, managing risks and opportunities with the Engineering leads, using metrics to derive insights into areas for improvement, quantifying the improvements made through investment in those areas, and maintaining a clear understanding of the state of the system that can be communicated to the customer.
• Execute Autonomously: Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from external clients. Demonstrate high ownership on all pieces of work. Become a trusted partner to Anduril’s engineers.
• Shape Growth Opportunities: Support the drafting of technical proposals, ensuring that potential projects and scaling opportunities are accurately scoped, estimated, and aligned with the organization's capabilities and strategic goals.
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Translate strategic business goals into actionable project plans, setting clear milestones, and driving initiatives from conception through to successful completion, ensuring they deliver intended outcomes and add value to the business. Oversee the UAE allocation of personnel, budget, and other resources to ensure successful execution of these initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ year of experience in a customer-facing program management role and/or systems engineering experience, preferably in the defense, national security, or aerospace domains
• Proven experience leading a technical team of peers to field hardware or software products to real operating environments through the product development lifecycle including test
• Proven experience leading a product and manufacturing team of peers through initial low rate production
• Solid technical aptitude and demonstrated individual contributions to technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, across a wide range of technical comfort and at all levels
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Regional Train and Advise Lead with deep cultural competence in the Middle East region. This unique role is designed for an operational leader who can seamlessly bridge command and staff level advising with hands-on technical deployment, integration, training, and operational support. You will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation, strategic adoption, and sustained utilization of our advanced Air Defense and Counter-Intrusion systems across critical stakeholders throughout the region. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver comprehensive technical training tailored for Middle East military users at all levels, including Train the Trainer courses, operational playbooks, and localized materials in regional languages to ensure proficiency and accelerated system adoption.

You will work on a new aircraft development project, bringing pragmatic SEIT thinking to deeply understand local requirements and champion ‘Test’ as a design tool to drive rapid capability development, ensuring that end-user needs are met in challenging operational environments. You will be part of a lean, high-ownership culture where you directly shape the product and operate at a velocity to fly new designs within months, not years.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work with customers and end-users to evolve the regional Concept of Operations (CONOPS) the product life cycle, developing inputs to high-level requirements informing key design decisions.
• Deploy right-sized, Agile Systems Engineering governance approaches for rapid capability development efforts - with the right amount of process discipline and artifacts and support System Design Reviews (SDRs).
• Manage System Interfaces and develop integration processes for sovereign Mission System equipment and Payloads, developing test objectives and test plans for execution
• Work with partner organizations to coordinate a broad range of in-country development activities including bench and environmental testing of individual components, building and operating Hardware In Lab (HIL)/Hardware In The Loop (HITL) integration environments, flight testing of uncrewed and crewed surrogate platforms, and ground and flight test of the Omen System

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or aviation-related technical discipline
• 10+ years of experience in Aerospace or product development/test and evaluation environments and aviation safety/quality systems
• Demonstrable Systems Engineering proficiency, with first-hand understanding of both the benefits and limitations of the approach

ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril’s Middle East team delivers platforms, systems, and integrated effects from across Anduril’s portfolio to regional customers. The Middle East team delivers Anduril’s core products, adapting and applying the products to serve a variety of defense and commercial customers in Middle East market. As this team rapidly expands, this role requires an applicant willing to take on diverse responsibilities.

ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for someone to lead and establish Middle East regionally-based deployments across multiple disciplines of Anduril’s portfolio. The first 9-12 month scope of this role is to support end-to-end operations and reporting of a multi-site program and sustained regional presence. WHAT YOU'LL DO

What you'll need

• 7-9 years of experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, Big Data methodologies, and transformation and cleaning of both structured and unstructured data.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• Solid experience with Deep Learning Techniques (e.g, attention, retrieval models, etc)
• 1-2 years of industrial experience in personalization, recommendation or search is a MUST. Preferably working in a product-driven company.
• Strong problem-solving and coding skills.
• Solid knowledge of AB testing, classic ML, and DL
• Solid understanding of recommendations, ranking, and retrieval. 
• Proficiency and demonstrated experience in: Python, SQL, Spark, Hive.
• Demonstrated experience with database technologies (e.g. , Hadoop, BigQuery, Amazon EMR, Hive, Oracle, SAP, DB2, Teradata, MS SQL Server, MySQL).
• Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, ChartIO, Qlik) along with geospatial data processing skill, is a plus.

About the Role

As a Staff Data Scientist I – ETA, you will own the end-to-end ETA prediction systems for Careem’s Food and Groceries verticals. This is a highly technical Individual Contributor role with full domain ownership across architecture, modeling strategy, experimentation, production deployment, and operational excellence.

You will define the long-term vision for ETA systems in high-load, latency-sensitive marketplace environments. You will design and implement multi-stage stochastic pipelines that model preparation time, assignment delay, pickup time, travel time, batching, and pooling effects delivering reliable, calibrated predictions at scale. This role requires deep expertise in time-series forecasting, deep learning, and operations research combined with strong production experience in distributed and real-time systems. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Marketplace, and Operations leaders, ensuring ETA becomes a core competitive advantage in Careem’s Everything App.

What You'll Do

1. ETA Vision & Architecture Ownership

• Define and own the long-term technical vision for ETA systems across Food and Groceries.
• Architect scalable, multi-stage pipelines.
• Design probabilistic and stochastic modeling approaches with uncertainty calibration and reliability guarantees.
• Establish modeling standards and best practices for ETA across the organization.

2. Advanced Modeling & Algorithm Development

• Develop and deploy production-grade ML systems leveraging:
• Deep learning architectures
• Time-series forecasting
• Graph-based and routing-aware models
• Operations research techniques
• Build models robust to marketplace volatility and supply-demand shifts.
• Optimize for both point accuracy and distributional correctness (confidence intervals, tail control).
• Continuously improve system performance under high traffic and low-latency constraints.

3. Production Systems & Real-Time Inference

• Design and deploy scalable real-time inference pipelines.
• Ensure model reliability, monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation under load.
• Collaborate with Data Platform and ML Ops teams to productionize models using Spark, Trino, Python, and distributed frameworks.
• Lead model lifecycle management, retraining strategies, and performance tracking in live environments.

4. Experimentation & Marketplace Impact

• Define clear evaluation frameworks aligned with business metrics (conversion, cancellations, fulfillment efficiency, customer trust).
• Design and run controlled experiments to measure ETA improvements and marketplace impact.
• Drive measurable improvements in operational efficiency and user experience through data-driven insights.

5. Technical Leadership & Cross-Team Influence

• Lead cross-team architectural discussions.
• Conduct design reviews and raise the technical bar for modeling quality and system robustness.
• Mentor senior data scientists and engineers in advanced ML and modeling techniques.
• Contribute to Careem’s applied AI community through technical talks, documentation, and research initiatives.

• 8+ years of experience in Applied Machine Learning or Data Science, with significant experience building large-scale production systems.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven expertise in:
• Time-series forecasting
• Deep learning
• Stochastic modeling
• Operations research and optimization
• Strong experience building and deploying high-load, low-latency ML systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in Python, Spark and ML frameworks.
• Experience with real-time inference systems and model monitoring in production.
• Strong understanding of experimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference.
• Demonstrated ability to drive architectural decisions across teams.
