We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Economy Manager to join our team in Barcelona. Reporting directly to the Director of Economy and working closely alongside another Lead Economist, you will operate as a centralized expert resource across three different studios.
Unlike traditional game economy roles focused on a single title, you will lead economic strategy and systems design on a project basis, supporting various games across our extended portfolio. While this is a high-level Individual Contributor role with no direct reports, your leadership impact will be massive. You will analyze each game, identify key opportunities and challenges, and build sustainable solutions while elevating our internal economy practices. You will establish best practices, develop robust frameworks, and mentor embedded game teams so they can eventually own and manage their economies independently.
This role is highly strategic and deeply hands-on: blending advanced research, complex system design, cross-studio collaboration, and technical mentorship.
You aren't just working on one game; you are a key economic architect across three studios. You will step into different projects to diagnose economic health, design robust pricing and reward systems, and empower local teams to execute your designs.
Drive Cross-Studio strategy: Serve as the shared expert supporting multiple games across distinct studios. You will take ownership of the economic design phase for targeted projects, identifying gaps and implementing tailored solutions to drive engagement and business performance.
Collaborate at the highest level: Work in tandem with another Lead Economist and report directly to the Director of Economy to align on portfolio-wide strategies, tackle complex systemic challenges, and ensure consistent design standards across all studios.
Mentor and Empower teams: Act as a technical leader and mentor for game-level economy designers and PMs. While you won't have direct reports, you will lead through influence, training internal teams on advanced economic frameworks and ensuring they have the tools to manage their game's economy long-term.
Design and simulate: Leverage your quantitative expertise to build complex predictive models, run simulations, and design A/B tests that validate your design decisions and forecast the impact of new features.
Bridge the gap globally: Drive cross-functional efforts with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers across different teams and geographies, acting as a technical bridge to ensure seamless execution from concept to live ops.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Math, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, paired with a proven track record of designing and optimizing complex game economies at a senior or lead level.
Advanced analytical skills with a "must-have" mastery of Excel. Experience with SQL, R, or Python is a significant advantage for deep-dive research and modeling.
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and upskill junior or mid-level talent across multiple studios or departments without formal reporting lines. You excel at matrix leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
A deep-seated interest in Free-to-Play mechanics and a sophisticated understanding of how to balance player experience with sustainable monetization.
Additional background in Monetization strategy to complement your economic expertise.
Experience working on large-scale online, social, or multiplayer games.
Hybrid working model: we ask you to come to our Barcelona office at least 2 days per week
A generous 25 days of annual leave, plus public holidays
Private medical insurance for you and your family to keep your health bar full
Disability and life insurance

Designed to look striking and feel effortless to fill out, Typeform drives 500 million responses every year and integrates with essential tools like Slack, Zapier, and HubSpot.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve Integrations, the surface that connects every Typeform experience to the tools customers use to run their business.
Integrations is where Typeform stops being a destination and becomes part of the customer’s stack. Every response captured can flow into a CRM, a marketing tool, a database, a chat, or a spreadsheet, wherever the next step happens. That layer needs to be deep, dependable, and easy to extend, at the scale of 500 million responses a year for 150,000 businesses across the long tail of tools they rely on. It has to be reliable, observable, secure, and able to scale as customer stacks become more sophisticated.
In this role, you will own Integrations end to end. You will evolve the platform while partnering with Automations and Typeform AI to make the integrations layer the substrate for both customer configured and agentic workflows.
Your work will define how Typeform plugs into the rest of the SaaS world for tens of thousands of customers, and how AI agents take action through it.
The Integrations team owns the layer that connects Typeform to the broader SaaS ecosystem: the connectors, auth flows, the action catalog, and the partner experience that makes it all work. Hundreds of millions of integration calls flow through this surface every year.
The team sits inside the Workflow Automations group alongside Automations, and works closely with Data Capture upstream, as well as with the Partnerships team and external partners across the long tail of tools customers rely on.

An overview of this role
As the first Engineering Manager embedded the Upstream Studios organization at GitLab, you'll lead a focused team of Engineers responsible for two foundational surfaces: the Pajamas Design System, which powers the coherence of the entire GitLab product, and docs.gitlab.com, the documentation platform serving millions of GitLab users and contributors worldwide.
This is a rare opportunity to define what engineering leadership looks like inside a design organization. You’ll report to the Chief Design Officer and partner closely with Product Design, Technical Writing, Localization, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering leaders across GitLab. Critically, the design system is a contribution-based, company-wide platform that engineers across the entire organization depend on and actively participate in. Building those partnerships and making it easier for engineers everywhere to contribute to Pajamas will be central to your success.
You’ll be a hands-on technical leader and people manager in equal measure: guiding architecture decisions, shaping contribution workflows, and helping a small, high-impact team do some of the most leveraged work at GitLab.
Upstream Studios is the full-stack experience organization for GitLab. We imagine it, we design it, we document it, we ship it—partnering across product, engineering, and marketing to deliver a continuous deployment of quality.
We integrate research, design, frontend engineering, documentation, and brand into a unified delivery pipeline, shaping how customers experience GitLab from first impression to final deployment. For more information on how we work, see the Upstream Studios section of the GitLab Handbook.
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
Please note that we welcome interest from candidates with varying levels of experience; many successful candidates do not meet every single requirement. Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification. If you're excited about this role, please apply and allow our recruiters to assess your application.
Country Hiring Guidelines: GitLab hires new team members in countries around the world. All of our roles are remote, however some roles may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements. Our Talent Acquisition team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process.

Cloud infrastructure familiarity: You've worked in or supported distributed systems, containerized environments, or cloud platforms
Networking basics: You understand how the internet works, and can debug issues with DNS, SSL, CDN, etc.
Strong written communication: You express technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively in async global teams
Problem-solving mindset: You take initiative, enjoy digging into issues, and look for ways to improve how we work
Strong customer-centric mindset: You care about delivering value to users and partners. You approach problems with empathy and consider the end-user experience in your decisions.

Weekend Schedule:
First 6 to 9 months: You will work Monday–Friday during your training (onboarding).
After training: Your schedule will change to include Saturdays and Sundays. You will have two fixed weekdays off (for example, Monday and Tuesday) instead.
