What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Support proper implementation and testing of software, functions, and diagnostics tests on the shop floor.
- Quantify data results from the software verification process throughout the product lifecycle.
- Produce data-driven validation analysis of commissioning, functional, and diagnostic errors.
- Reporting out to validation team to help develop measures to address them.
- Production focused development of guided fault-finding steps within commissioning stations throughout the production line. Communicating often with the after-sales diagnostics team.
- Help generate reports, evaluations, and key figures, emphasizing error evaluations from databases.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to identify immediate and long-term measures for improving quality and efficiency across the organization.
- Document and interpret analysis results within a larger context, drawing general conclusions, and identifying actionable insights to enhance processes and systems.
- Internally track defects to oversee their resolution and identify trends or recurring issues requiring systematic address.
- Collaborate with validation engineers to translate test outcomes into actionable feedback and visualize large datasets (CAN logs, sensor data, ECU traces)
- Support in the creation of dashboards and/or utilize reporting tools to monitor system health and regressions over time.
- Help develop scalable solutions for validation data storage, querying, and retrieval as the test volume grows.
- Utilize Ai or other methods for process optimization in guided fault finding, validation testing, continuous improvement and issue resolution.
- Installation and troubleshooting of loggers and other data recorders for all the test assets within the Validation and Analysis team.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 2+ years of professional experience with experience in automotive preferred
- Bachelor's in automotive technology, electrical, software engineering or equivalent field. Master’s is a plus. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes. Preferably in automotive
- Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as C++, C#, Java or similar preferred
- Experience with tools to process and interpret CAN, LIN, or Ethernet data. (like CANalyzer/CANoe, Vector, etc.)
- Experience in data analysis and data mining techniques.
- Exposure to HIL testing/test automation is preferred
- Proficient in analytical and conceptual thinking, employing logic and reason in both creative and strategic contexts.
- Demonstrated ability in creative and strategic problem-solving, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, displaying a high level of commitment, effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics.

What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Plan and align the integration of the electronic vehicle commissioning on a specific ECU level into manufacturing by utilizing the diagnostics.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (R&D, Assembly shopfloor, Quality, etc.) to meet organizational objectives and production requirements.
- Coordinate the concept scope and timeline for pre-series and series phase and perform commissioning during launch phase.
- Support triage during integration phase as well as issue resolution process.
- Develop processes, specifications and production code to implement the next generation of software-defined vehicles.
- Be the representative for production within engineering system teams for concept and launch phase.
- Monitor and track technical changes for vehicle diagnostics, security, and architectures throughout the validation process.
- Perform validation process before a final program release to assembly line to ensure all required steps are fulfilled correctly. Document results and define action plan.
- Perform system analysis to understand strengths, drawbacks, and limitations.
- Evaluate and enhance vehicle commissioning concepts that produce exceptional quality, reduce budget, and reduce production cycle time.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Good team player with excellent communication skills.

What you’ll do

- Plan, develop and integrate electronic vehicle commissioning concepts for underlying cross-functional technologies e.g. Software flashing, ECU configuration, Immobilizer systems, secured vehicle diagnostic functions.
- Ensure the end-to-end functionality including in-vehicle technologies and necessary backend systems.
- Lead and coordinate commissioning, planning project concept scope, timeline constraints in pre-series and series phase.
- Representative for production concept changes within project teams.
- Monitor and track technical changes for central vehicle diagnostics, security, and architectures throughout the development and launch process.
- Coordinate the integration for commissioning concepts for process planning into the production.
- Evaluate and enhance vehicle commissioning concepts that produce exceptional quality, reduce cost, and improve production cycle time.
- Develop and coordinate commissioning documents using IT systems in production.
