Scopely is rapidly growing, and we’re looking for a passionate IT Support Technician II to provide full technical support to all users and the IT infrastructure in Shanghai!
The Scopely IT team provides hardware and software support to employees in offices worldwide. With all offices collaborating together, our employees rely heavily on video conferencing and collaboration tools. The IT team strives to deliver excellent support to ensure the best possible experience. We stay up to date with the latest technology and trends to deliver top-notch service to Scopely.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with the manager and the global IT team to deliver on IT projects from concept to production
- Employee onboarding and offboarding
- Device lifecycle management includes procurement, provisioning, deployment, management, maintenance, and de-provisioning.
- Hands-on support for all levels of hardware and software troubleshooting, triaging, and issue resolution
- Network infrastructure management, including wireless and VPN management
- Understanding of industry-standard security best practices with a specific focus on data integrity and malware protection for workstations
- Create and maintain documented processes, procedures, and configurations
- Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks that scale with the company's growth.
- Prioritize tasks based on impact and urgency.
- Implement, configure, and manage SaaS tools including Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, and JumpCloud.
- Management of vendor and supplier relationships
- Support our AV/VC platform (Zoom)
- Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation
- Cloud Identity Provider and SSO management (Okta).
What you will need:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience as an IT technician.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English (Business Level).
- Should have experience in MacOS/Windows/SaaS/MDM/Network.
- Familiarity with core business applications such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack
- Familiarity with developer tools such as GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins
- Familiarity with Apple developer and certificate management
- Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal with users at all organizational levels.
- Should have a good attitude/communication, and end-user handling /coordination Skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to logically prioritize tasks and schedule work accordingly.
- Strong motivation to learn new technologies.
- Clear all the assessments as per the schedule.

Scopely is looking for a Server Engineer, Tooling to join an unannounced title based in our Shanghai office (5 days in the office).

What You Will Do
We are seeking a Server Engineer, Tooling to design, build, and optimize the core tools and infrastructure that power our backend game development and deployment workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: professional experience in software engineering, tooling, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, with deep expertise in optimizing developer workflows and CI/CD systems at scale.
- Tooling Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience designing and optimizing build systems like Bazel and Gradle. Experience with dependency injection frameworks.
- CI/CD Expertise: Strong background in designing and maintaining CI pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and runner infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Skills: Strong background with cloud platforms (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, Bash, or similar languages for automation, tooling, and CI workflow orchestration.
- Systems Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, security best practices, and tooling for large-scale, distributed engineering teams.
- Communication: Professional proficiency in Mandarin, bonus for English
- Education: BS / MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent
Bonus Points
- Experience building production-grade services using Java, with strong knowledge of performance tuning, and modern development best practices
- Experience supporting large server monorepos and optimizing server development workflows for online games or high-scale applications.
- Familiarity with common testing frameworks and strategies for automated server-side testing (smoke tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests).
- Experience using AI tools to speed up the development lifecycle and improve efficiency

A Day in The Life of Our DevOps Engineer:
- Have clear and solid relationships with software development departments.
- Plan and document work and projects.
- Build and continuously optimize CI/CD process and streamline automation effort for server provisioning and applications deployment.

- Deploy, monitor and scale application services.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
- It's a full-time, on-site position - five days a week in the office.
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE environment.
- 6+ years of experience working with Linux, Windows systems.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of cloud infrastructure components such as AWS (EC2,EKS, RDS, Opensearch, S3, Storage, Route53 and network appliances.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as a Code approach (Terraform preferred).
- Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
- Good understanding of microservice architecture.
- Good experience in Monitoring k8s clusters, APM, services and infrastructure located in AWS (NewRelic).
- Ability to create automation tools in Go, Python, Bash, Powershell.
- Familiarity with Continuous Delivery tools used with microservices.
- Hands-on experience architecting and securing cloud networking such as VPC peering, Transit Gateways, subnet, and security groups (nice to have).
- Working knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab or alternative Continuous Integration systems.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS and Domain (nice to have).
- Coding Experience.
