The Team

Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, load balancing (including our public-facing edge and internal service mesh), and observability and alerting systems.

The Fleet Management team provides the core runtime environment that empowers our developers to build and ship products to delight our customers. We manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our Kubernetes fleet, alongside the critical components that ensure cluster reliability and security (e.g., CoreDNS, cert-manager, and Gatekeeper). • Design and build core security primitives and services that protect MongoDB Atlas compute, networking, and identity across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Qualifications:

As a Electrical Engineer, Edge Compute at Carbon Robotics be a key part of the team that designs and manages the distributed computing infrastructure that is the heart of our robots. RAIL has two primary customers:

• Mission Autonomy (MA) — Mission Autonomy at Anduril is responsible for coordinating mission-level behaviors by manipulating hardware. For example, “fly to these waypoints,” “enter radio silence mode,” or “arm munitions.”
• Robotics Business Lines — These teams own specific Anduril robots end-to-end, as well as individual pieces of hardware on those robots.

RAIL bridges the gap between Mission Autonomy and diverse sets of hardware by creating common hardware interfaces. To allow Anduril to effortlessly integrate with new hardware. RAIL enables Anduril to scale and deploy ambitious new robot designs on short timelines by leveraging learnings and investments from our existing portfolio of diverse hardware and products.

For example, Anduril procures autopilots from a multitude of different hardware vendors. Each autopilot has a subtly different hardware interface — some use MAVLINK, some use STANAG, others use bespoke vendor-specific serial interfaces. Despite having different interfaces, they all provide standard functionality that flies along a set of waypoints.

As an author of advanced mission behavior, I shouldn’t care whether my autopilot speaks MAVLINK or STANAG — I just want my vehicle to get flying. Anduril's Detection and Response team is looking for a Security Operations Analyst to be the watchtower for Anduril's critical defense technologies. As a SecOps Analyst on the detection and response team, you'll be responsible for monitoring and responding to adversarial activity while helping incorporate key detection feedback loops with the detection engineering team. As a Senior SecOps Analyst, you will serve as an incident commander alongside other senior analysts. When not responding to threats, you'll be asking questions of our data sets, conducting threat hunting and data normalization operations across the organization to understand user behavior and identify anomalies. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Triage and respond to alerts / incidents covering multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, phishing, endpoints, cloud infrastructure and services, and SaaS applications

The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. We don't just run sims, we define what it means for a simulation to be trustworthy. Our team operates across four pillars: Sim Infrastructure, Sim Fidelity, Sim Integrations, and Training Simulations, supporting products like Altius, Ghost, Bolt, and Anvil from early development through field deployment. Every fidelity improvement, every validated model, and every simulation environment we deliver directly determines whether autonomous systems are ready to fly real missions.

Our vision is one simulation framework that serves every product and every deployment target, from a developer's laptop through CI pipelines, operator training environments, and large-scale HPC Monte Carlo campaigns. Anthropic runs some of the largest Kubernetes clusters in the industry. We have fleets of hundreds of thousands of nodes across multiple cloud providers and datacenters to train, research, and serve frontier AI models. The Kubernetes Platform team owns the Kubernetes control plane that makes those clusters work.

We are operating at a scale where the defaults stop working. We own the scheduler and extend it to place topology-sensitive ML workloads across thousands of accelerators at once. We scale the control plane itself — apiserver, etcd, controllers — so it stays responsive as object counts and node counts grow by orders of magnitude. • Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is
     Hybrid Commitment: $217,000 - 289,000 USD Annually 
    

This role can be hybrid (onsite from our NYC, San Francisco, or Seattle hub location three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).

The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate’s working location.
