Checkr busca un Senior Software Engineer para ayudarnos a llevar evaluaciones de antecedentes justas a clientes corporativos. Nuestro trabajo es la columna vertebral para el empleo de millones de trabajadores en todo el país.

La misión de nuestro equipo es proporcionar los antecedentes penales más precisos y exhaustivos de la industria para clientes en todo el mundo. Estamos contratando para un equipo enfocado en unificar las experiencias de todos los productos de evaluación que Checkr ofrece a sus clientes (tanto en EE. UU. como internacionales), proporcionando funcionalidades de plataforma común a otros equipos de la compañía. El equipo estará dividido en un 70% de trabajo backend y 30% frontend.

Responsabilidades:

• Construir y evolucionar software con un enfoque en la creación de funcionalidades de plataforma que otros equipos utilicen en su trabajo.

• Producir una gran cantidad de código de alta calidad para construir APIs escalables, eficientes y seguras.

• Utilizar habilidades de frontend para construir componentes efectivos en React.js que puedan usarse en todo Checkr.

• Diseñar y mejorar la arquitectura de sistema de nuestra plataforma que impulsa los productos de Screening de Checkr.

• Colaborar con ingenieros Staff y Principales para influir y ejecutar nuestros diseños técnicos.

• Comunicarse eficazmente con los ingenieros de todo Checkr que dependen de la funcionalidad que estás construyendo: ¡ellos serán tus clientes principales!

• Redactar documentación clara sobre cómo interactuar con las funcionalidades que construyes, aplicaciones y buenas prácticas de software.

• Implementar pasos en el pipeline de CI/CD y gestionar el control de versiones (Git).

• Mentorear y guiar a otros desarrolladores dentro de la organización de Ingeniería.

• Ayudar a identificar y resolver errores (bugs) complejos.

Lo que aportas:

• Inglés avanzado (escrito y hablado. Reportas a tu jefatura que está en USA y el proceso de entrevistas técnicas es dirigido por los desarrolladores de San Francisco y Denver).

• 6+ años de experiencia en desarrollo de software full-stack.

• Dominio de los siguientes lenguajes y tecnologías: Ruby, JavaScript (React.js), HTML, CSS, protocolos HTTP y Regex. 

• Disponibilidad para trabajar híbrido 3x2 en Santiago (oficina ubicada en torre gran costanera).

Requisitos indispensables:

• Sólida comprensión de los fundamentos de Ciencias de la Computación, tales como: bases de datos relacionales, estructuras de datos y algoritmos, ORM (Object Relational Mapping) y APIs REST.

• Sólidas prácticas de desarrollo utilizando TDD (Test Driven Development), DDD (Domain Driven Design) y programación funcional u orientada a objetos.

Deseable (Nice to have):

• Experiencia con bases de datos no relacionales (MongoDB, Redis).

• Experiencia con microservicios (y patrones como Event Sourcing o API Gateways).

• Experiencia con arquitecturas orientadas a eventos (Kafka, RabbitMQ o SQS).

• Experiencia en observabilidad (Datadog, Grafana o Splunk).

• Experiencia en IA (Inteligencia Artificial).

• Un fuerte sentido de propiedad (ownership).

• Capacidad para colaborar con compañeros de equipo y otros stakeholders.

The Staff Software Engineer will oversee the near-term integration of newly acquired background check solutions into Checkr. Responsibilities include working on data vendor integrations and developing the system into a long-term identity verification platform. The current background check solution includes multiple public APIs, public and internal portals, and numerous microservices.

What you’ll do

• Own the product development from ideation, design, implementation, to release
• Collaborate with other engineers and product manager on designing and architecting new systems
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code

What you bring

• Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written).
• Availability to work a hybrid schedule in Santiago, Chile (3 days per week in-office).
