Technical Services Representative

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Technical Services Representative for our San Juan, PR office.

This highly motivated individual will be responsible for delivering operational and administrative excellence to support our sales and technical services teams—ensuring that every customer interaction is efficient, accurate, and leaves a lasting impression.

This position reports to the Technical Services Manager. This role is onsite and is based out of our San Juan, PR office. 

Essential responsibilities:

• Coordinate jobs with customers and prepare appropriate paperwork, including the paperwork associate with our trucking process and associated weights
• Create and distribute invoices with quotes for services, such as lab packs, lab moves, and others
• Field incoming calls from prospective and existing customers as needed. Satisfying customer needs may involve a direct response from information and knowledge already possessed, obtaining information for response, or directing customer to someone capable of responding
• Assist Sales and Technical Services staff with job scopes and the coordination of bids, proposals, and quotations
• Assist Sales team with administrative tasks related to maintaining and growing customer base, including customized waste profiling and shipment report generation
• Organize and control all job folders and customer master files. This includes ensuring all paperwork is filed properly, and retrieving files for job costing purposes
• Provide Quality Control by contacting customers, post-service, to conduct surveys
• Attend all sales meetings and other necessary meetings
• Provide technical support to Inside and Outside Sales representatives and customers
• Assist with the approval of OSS, lab pack, and other job folders
• Order and maintain inventory of office supplies
• Track some office budgetary items
• All other duties as assigned 

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science or industry related experience
• Ability to work as a team player
• Determination/eagerness to learn about the environmental health & safety field
• Creativity in solving unique problems
• Leadership experience/potential
• Strong communication, analytical, technical, and organizational skills
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  
• Must have a reliable form of transportation

About the Role 

We’re looking for a Senior Associate Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll build and deploy AI-powered, production-grade software systems within client environments. You’ll operate at the intersection of software engineering, data systems, and applied AI, translating complex business problems into scalable, reliable solutions. 

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on system building, working closely with clients, and shaping technical direction and best practices across projects. 

What You’ll Do 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and technical requirements 

• Partner on design and build data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from source systems to analytical platforms using modern cloud technologies 

• Support on design and implement infrastructure and data platforms that enable reliable access, transformation, and analysis of data 

• Document and maintain data architecture to support reliable, scalable data systems 

• Contribute to improving engineering practices around quality, maintainability, and operational stability 

• Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and day to-day collaboration 

What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend and/or data engineering 

• Experience delivering production systems in environments with evolving or changing requirements 

• Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services (e.g., FastAPI, Node.js, or similar frameworks) 

• Strong experience with SQL and relational or analytical data systems 

• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) 

• Experience with modern engineering workflows, including Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines 

• Good understanding of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and agile delivery 

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-enabled systems, particularly LLM-powered workflows and orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph) 

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform) 

• Background in designing and maintaining data pipelines or data-intensive systems 

• Exposure to data warehouses or large-scale analytical platforms 

• Knowledge of workflow orchestration or distributed processing systems 

About the Role 

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead teams building and deploying AI-powered, production-grade software systems directly into customer environments. 

In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of technical leadership and client engagement. You’ll be responsible for guiding engineers through ambiguous problem spaces, ensuring high-quality execution, and maintaining strong alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. 

This position is ideal for leaders who enjoy being hands-on when needed, working closely with clients, mentoring engineers, and owning the successful delivery of complex, real-world systems. 

What You’ll Do 

• Lead and support teams of software and data engineers delivering AI-enabled systems in production 

• Own the technical execution and delivery of client-facing projects, ensuring quality, reliability, and outcomes 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into production-ready systems  

• Guide system and solution design across infrastructure, backend services, data platforms, and AI workflows 

• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to engineers through problem solving sessions, code reviews, design discussions, and regular feedback 

• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term system maintainability and scalability 

• Stay current with emerging AI and software technologies and apply them pragmatically to client solutions 

 What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering experience  

• 1-3 years of experience leading or managing technical teams 

• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction for client-facing initiatives, balancing delivery commitments, stakeholder expectations, and technical quality 

• Proven ability to lead client projects, build strong relationships, and deliver on-time results aligned with client goals.  

• Experience designing, building and maintaining production-grade systems in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.) 

• Expertise in software engineering best practices, system design, and agile delivery methodologies 

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitHub) and CI/CD processes 

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills 

 Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience building or deploying AI-enabled systems, including LLM-based workflows (e.g., RAG, agentic systems, fine-tuning) 

• Experience with data-intensive systems, including ETL/ELT pipelines and analytical platforms 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) 

• Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow, AWS Step Functions) 

• Strong experience with SQL and relational or analytical data systems 

• Associate-level cloud architect certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent)
