About the team

Stripe Terminal helps our users extend their online presence to the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. Stripe was founded to make it easier for developers to accept payments. We’ve solved a small part of that problem, but our ambition is to go much further. 

Engineers on the Terminal Global Payments team will build and enhance the Payments Platform including the applications and services that run on the physical Terminal devices and expanding access to local payment methods, meeting our merchants/gateways where their in-person payment needs are. Your work will also include building the frameworks for other engineers, both internal and external to Stripe, to develop on our custom platform with ease. As part of this role, you will focus on working on Terminal’s Android devices and Tap to Pay development, with opportunities to build on Stripe’s backend payments infrastructure as well.

• Design and develop end-to-end payment features spanning mobile applications, device-level integrations and backend services for a variety of devices and form factors.

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Mobile Architecture team to help lead the technical vision for Discord's mobile experience across iOS and Android.

You'll work on performance-critical systems using React Native, focusing on delivering an exceptional mobile experience that feels instantaneous. As a Staff Engineer, you'll drive technical direction, mentor other engineers, and tackle the most complex challenges facing our mobile platforms. Our goal is to build products that our customers absolutely love—products that are functional, reliable, usable, and delightful, with performance as a core feature.

What you'll be doing

• Lead technical direction and architecture decisions for Discord's mobile platform, particularly around React Native optimization and performance
• Build and optimize foundational mobile libraries and infrastructure that power Discord's mobile apps on iOS and Android

The Design Systems team is a cross-functional team that ensures design quality across all facets of UI, content, and graphics. We develop the core primitives and standards that engineers and designers use to build Discord’s products. Designers and engineers on this team collaborate closely to accelerate product feature teams’ ability to ship new features with UI that are accessible, consistent, and high quality. This team also sets the standard for accessibility on Discord, and supports other engineering teams in achieving it. About the Role

The Discovery Team in App Experiences manages a wide array of features and systems to help communities form, grow, and thrive on Twitch. About The Role 

At Mochi, our engineering team operates with exceptional leverage. We believe in high talent density, where a focused, elite team powers a profitable, nine-figure ARR healthcare platform serving hundreds of thousands of patients. We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to own the mobile applications that serve as the primary daily touchpoint for our patients and providers.

Mochi has already helped patients lose over 5 million pounds through metabolic care, and we are now rapidly expanding into the frontiers of preventative healthcare—including hormone optimization (HRT/TRT), longevity medicine, and cutting-edge peptide therapies. The mobile experiences you architect will directly dictate how this next wave of patients tracks sensitive biometrics, communicates securely with their care teams, and manages complex medication protocols.

Because of our high scale-to-team ratio, we do not operate in isolated technical silos. You will act as our mobile product specialist, owning the application end-to-end: from architecting offline-first data synchronization and deep native health integrations, to leveraging Expo to deliver a modern, unified cross-platform experience. What You'll Do

• Architect the Mobile Clinical Experience: You will build the dynamic, high-performance mobile tools our patients and providers rely on. You will architect deep integrations with Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect to seamlessly ingest and visualize real-time patient data, and build highly responsive, secure messaging systems that connect patients directly to their care teams without friction.
• Leverage the Expo Ecosystem: You will treat our mobile infrastructure as a product advantage. Who You Are

• You have operated high-stakes mobile systems. You have 5-7+ years of frontend engineering experience, with deep, specialized focus on React Native and Expo. You've built, shipped, and maintained complex, data-heavy mobile applications in production.
• You are an Expo and Mobile Infrastructure expert. You understand the modern Expo ecosystem deeply. You know how to manage EAS builds, integrate complex native modules (like HealthKit/Health Connect) without ejecting, and navigate the strict review guidelines of the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
• You master mobile state and performance. You understand the React render cycle on mobile. You know how to prevent UI thread blocking, optimize list rendering for massive messaging datasets, and orchestrate complex asynchronous data fetching securely.
• You are a full lifecycle owner. You build things that run in production, not just pass review. You view managing the CI/CD pipeline, monitoring crash rates (e.g., Sentry for mobile), and owning your app's reliability in the wild as a fundamental part of your job.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building iOS applications in Swift and/or Objective-C
• Experience owning projects end-to-end from initial prototypes to customer roll out
• Professional experience working on mobile consumer applications at scale
• Experience working with media manipulation frameworks on iOS such as AVFoundation, Core Image/Video/Audio, and Metal
• Experience collaborating with other engineers: iOS, Android, server, and web
• Track record of mentoring engineers and raising team-wide code quality
• Experience with feature flagging, release management, and observability tools (Datadog, Crashlytics, etc.)
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills (you've worked closely with designers, product managers, and business stakeholders)
• Comfort with AI-assisted development workflows and a desire to push what's possibl

Compensation

The base salary for this position will vary based on several factors, such as relevant experience, location and your approved internal leveling assessed during the interview process. The base salary range for this role is $230,000 - $260,000. Salary is one component of our total compensation package. This position also qualifies for equity (i.e. stock options) and is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on performance.

The benefits available for this position include flexible time off, a 401K retirement plan, insurance (medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, short and long term disability), and 11 paid holidays.
