We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing team in Quonset, RI. In this role, you will play be responsible for working hands-on with our engineering team on a multi-disciplinary workflow to deliver world class AUVs. This will require building complex electromechanical assemblies and integrating them into the final product! 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists on AUV assembly and integration efforts
• Build, integrate, and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies into our world class AUVs
• Routing and servicing high-reliability cabling and wiring harnesses
• Design, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiency
• Fabricate and modify machined parts and COTS components

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical field (automotive/marine, aerospace, industrial equipment)
• Familiar with simple fabrication processes, basic hand tools, and both plastic/metal part manufacturing

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Quonset, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a manufacturing engineering team over a subset of Anduril’s products to drive process improvements, ensure the highest quality of production, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies on existing technologies while also developing new products and scaling to full scale production.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead and directly manage a small team of manufacturing engineers overseeing a product line or distinct value-stream within manufacturing
• Run weekly 1v1 / team meetings, set prioritization focus, coordinate team scheduling, and provide concise status reporting
• Extremely high level of product ownership and adherence to manufacturing engineering best practices
• Organize DFX efforts and ensure timely completion of production readiness deliverables

• 3+ years demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills, with backing examples
• Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Work within a dynamic team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of AUV design, integration, and test efforts
• Take on the principal responsibilities of the hands-on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of AUVs in the field
• Lead day-to-day local operations for multiple AUV platforms, including conducting pre-mission testing, launch and recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis
• Deploy locally in support of at-sea AUV operations from a variety of support vessel types

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Partner with the manufacturing engineering, production, and development engineers to support the quality of the integration process for components such as underwater sensors/equipment, PCBAs, cables, wiring harness, actuators, machined parts and structures, etc. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Partner with development engineers to create, define, develop, and implement inspection systems.
• Work cross-functionally to define and execute the product build and inspection requirements to meet our customer quality requirements.
• Lead the non-conformance review (NCR) process for vehicle integration: Identify defects and flaws in vehicle and subsystem assembly, identify issues and implement corrective actions, and support the usage of coordinate systems, envelopes, and interfaces for system integration.
• Lead the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process for integration, incident management system and Material Review Board (MRB) activities for defense programs, while owning containments for prototype builds and production.
• Support the incoming inspection processes and integration process for quality documentation, planning, and metrics for effectiveness.
• Build and manage the quality engineering team for the Dive-XL production line.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience working with OEM suppliers and manufacturing operations building complex hardware and software systems
• 5+ years experience working in a AS9100 regulated environment
• Experience managing and building a quality team
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality within the aerospace/defense, automotive, or medical device fields
• Proven record in strategy and execution of Quality Management Systems in a certified AS9100 enterprise
• Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Change Management, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to finish

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team in Quonset, RI. In this role, you will be responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge Autonomous Underwater Vehicles. This responsibility includes Design for Manufacturability, tool design & selection, process creation & optimization, vendor sourcing & interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a certain product or set of products
• Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing their hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
• Develop process flows, breaking down large, complex assemblies into a logical part flow of subassemblies and sub-processes
• Work with contract manufacturers across various disciplines (PCBA fab, metal/plastic manufacturing, assembly, etc.) to develop repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development as well as at-scale production
• Work with technicians and other engineers in a hands-on fashion building prototype hardware
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts
• Contribute to end-customer hardware mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection, etc.
• Frequent travel between Quonset/Quincy facilities is expected to facilitate production scale-up activities across both sites

• Drive supplier quality readiness by analyzing key and critical characteristics for drawings and supplier specification, develop measurement systems, and supplier qualification activities (PPAP, FAIR, Audit, inspection development, etc.)
• Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing and Product Sourcing Engineering to drive overall supplier performance for cost, quality, delivery and fulfillment of strategic goals for the programs that you will be supporting

About the role:

Anduril is seeking a Supply Planner to join our team in Quonset, Rhode Island. The Supply Chain team is responsible for planning and sourcing of materials to support rapidly iterating and building of cutting-edge defense hardware for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). Essential Functions:

Patient Identification & Diagnostic Enablement

Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of managing Controller’s recruitment related activities, which include setting up and conducting interviews and tests for applicants, evaluating and assessing the results thereto, and as is otherwise needed in the recruitment and hiring processes. Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Controller to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Controller’s behalf. Accordingly, if you are located outside of the United States, your personal data will be transferred to the United States once you submit it through this site. The transfer will be made using appropriate additional safeguards under the standard contractual clauses approved by regulators for transfers of personal data outside the European Union.

Your personal data will be retained by Controller as long as Controller determines it is necessary to evaluate your application for employment.  Under the GDPR, if you are located in the European Union, you have the right to request access to your personal data, to request that your personal data be rectified or erased, and to request that processing of your personal data be restricted. You also have the right to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with an EU supervisory authority.
