Impact in this Role We are a small engineering team taking the next step in evolving our systems and infrastructure. As a QA Automation engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our company’s product development process to ensure overall product quality through test automation. You will report to QA Lead
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Software Developer in Test, you will be responsible for automating and maintaining end-to-end integration tests.
Work with QA Engineers to identify workflows as automation candidates and build out test scripts.
Work with other members of the automation team to create integration tests using Cypress and Playwright.
Perform code reviews for other team members, concentrating on maintaining team standards and best practices.
Serve as a first point of contact to engineering teams, helping to answer questions about tests and providing automation guidance.
Monitor and maintain the current library of integration tests, diagnosing and reporting failures to the responsible engineering teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Test Automation Experience: 6-8 years automation experience. At least 2-4 years working with Cypress and/or Playwright.
You are experienced in writing automation tests in Cypress/javascript. You know the best way to use Cypress and how to avoid its pitfalls and determine best practices.
You can write tests that operate the system via the UI as well as through backend api calls and understand when each strategy should be applied.
You are an advocate for high-quality, reusable code, concentrating on creating functionality that can be reused across multiple tests.
You have experience in an Agile development environment.
You are an effective communicator, able to explain Cypress and automation to people unfamiliar with either.
You can work collaboratively with a diverse group of people who have strong opinions. You can understand different perspectives while remaining an effective advocate for software quality.
You are comfortable working independently, taking an assigned task and determining how best to implement it.
You have experience working with AWS and ERP systems
Preferred Experience / Additional Qualifications
Hands-on experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or K6 will be a strong advantage.
Exposure to enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Arena, or NetSuite is highly desirable.

Role Overview
We are looking for a QA Automation Lead with 5+ years of hands-on automation experience to lead the design and execution of test automation across core SaaS products. Key Responsibilities:
Automation Strategy & Execution
Lead automation planning, scripting, and execution across UI, API, database, and performance layers.
Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using tools like Testim, Selenium, Cypress, etc.
Drive automation-first practices and integrate test suites with CI/CD pipelines for early defect detection.
Technical Leadership
Guide QA engineers in writing clean, reusable, and robust automation code.
Conduct code and script reviews; troubleshoot failures and improve test stability and coverage.
Collaborate with developers and DevOps for continuous integration and test orchestration.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Release teams to ensure test coverage and quality gates throughout SDLC.
Represent QA in agile ceremonies and play an active role in release readiness decisions.
Own quality metrics like pass rate, defect leakage, and automation ROI.
Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing
Coach junior automation engineers and promote best practices in test design, coverage, and maintainability.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, maintain test documentation, and support cross-product learning.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in test automation for web, API, and backend services.
Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Hands-on experience with tools like Testim, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, REST Assured.
Experience in database testing (SQL/NoSQL) and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI and Git-based workflows.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and STLC processes.
Proficient with test and defect management tools (Jira, Xray/Zephyr, Confluence).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with global teams.
Nice-to-Have
Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or logistics product domains.
Exposure to self-healing automation or AI-powered test optimization tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation test suites for IAM, AuthZ, and STS components.
Build scalable and maintainable automation frameworks, preferably using Karate for API and service-level automation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define test strategy, test plans, and test coverage for new and existing features.
Validate end‑to‑end flows such as authentication, token generation, session management, OAuth/OIDC flows, roles & permissions, MFA, SSO, etc.
Participate in architecture/design discussions to provide quality and testability insights early in the lifecycle.
Ensure timely execution of regression suites and continuous integration pipelines.
Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and work with developers to resolve issues.
Implement test data strategies, mocks, and stubs as needed to support automation.
Contribute to quality metrics, dashboards, and continuous process improvements.
(Good to have) Support and execute performance and load testing for key IAM workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience

Implement and own CI/CD test gates (smoke/regression) with parallelization and clear pass/fail signals; track coverage and test health metrics.
Perform targeted manual/exploratory testing for new features, edge cases, and UX flows; drive regression for critical paths.
Create and manage test data, mocks/fixtures, and environment configurations to keep tests deterministic and fast.
Coordinate with engineers to reproduce, triage, and debug issues using logs/metrics/trace tools; verify fixes and prevent regressions.
Own post-deploy smoke testing and release sign-off for web apps and mobile apps; document results and risks.
Continuously improve the QA/SDET toolchain and practices (coding standards, coverage goals, flake budgets, reporting dashboards).
WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED
