About the Role
We’re looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for engineers who are looking to deepen their skills in software engineering, data systems, and applied AI while contributing to real client and internal projects.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll build on your existing foundation through a combination of structured onboarding, mentorship, and hands-on project work. You’ll collaborate closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable software solutions used in production environments.
What You’ll Do
- Build and strengthen core software engineering skills through Xtillion’s structured onboarding and ongoing technical development programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and technical requirements
- Contribute to the design and implementation of software applications and data workflows
- Participate across the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established engineering standards and best practices
- Test, debug, and help improve the reliability and performance of applications and services
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in collaboration
- Document system designs, code, and processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent hands-on experience through internships or production-level projects
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++)
- Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
- Experience working with SQL, databases, or data-intensive systems
- Experience working with Git or other version control systems
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- A proactive, positive attitude with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, research, or hands-on project experience in software engineering
- Exposure to backend development frameworks or API development through coursework or projects
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) through academic, personal, or internship projects

We’re looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our College Program. This role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to build strong foundations in software engineering, data systems, and applied AI while contributing to real client and internal projects.
As an Associate Software Engineer, you’ll begin your journey with a structured training program that helps you develop core technical skills and engineering best practices. During and after the training period, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers on client-facing or internal projects, applying what you’ve learned to deliver reliable, scalable software solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Kick-start your career through Xtillion’s Software Engineering Academy, focused on software engineering fundamentals, data systems, and applied AI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business problems and technical requirements
- Contribute to the design and implementation of software applications and data workflows

We’re looking for a Senior Associate Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll build and deploy AI-powered, production-grade software systems within client environments. You’ll operate at the intersection of software engineering, data systems, and applied AI, translating complex business problems into scalable, reliable solutions.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on system building, working closely with clients, and shaping technical direction and best practices across projects.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and technical requirements
- Partner on design and build data pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from source systems to analytical platforms using modern cloud technologies
- Support on design and implement infrastructure and data platforms that enable reliable access, transformation, and analysis of data
- Document and maintain data architecture to support reliable, scalable data systems
- Contribute to improving engineering practices around quality, maintainability, and operational stability
- Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and day to-day collaboration
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend and/or data engineering
- Experience delivering production systems in environments with evolving or changing requirements
- Experience building and maintaining APIs and backend services (e.g., FastAPI, Node.js, or similar frameworks)
- Strong experience with SQL and relational or analytical data systems
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with modern engineering workflows, including Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, testing strategies, and agile delivery
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-enabled systems, particularly LLM-powered workflows and orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Background in designing and maintaining data pipelines or data-intensive systems
- Exposure to data warehouses or large-scale analytical platforms
- Knowledge of workflow orchestration or distributed processing systems
