About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Employment Counsel, this role provides practical, risk-based advice on global employment matters. The role primarily supports EMEA and APJ, with opportunities to partner on matters in other regions and global projects.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day legal counseling to HR, management, and other stakeholders on global employment matters, including hiring, classification, accommodations, leaves, discipline, and terminations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and documents, including offer terms, separation and settlement agreements, and policies/templates. Develop templates and guides.
- Manage employment-related claims, charges, and litigation (including pre-litigation demands), setting strategy and partnering with internal stakeholders; supervise outside counsel through resolution.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to support employee relations matters and workplace investigations, including advising on process, privilege, findings, and recommended corrective actions.
- Manage outside counsel on immigration matters.
What You’ll Bring
- Law degree
- Proficient level of English
- 7+ years of relevant employment law experience, either in-house and/or at a law firm, with exposure to multi-jurisdictional or global employment issues strongly preferred.
- Strong legal judgment and ability to own projects without supervision and ccommunicate complex issues clearly and pragmatically to non-lawyers; proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools and matter/document management systems a plus.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a data and AI trust company, work with international teams, and build real, practical skills that matter.

What You’ll Do
- Help the team by researching simple topics, reviewing documentation, and looking at data to better understand how Veeam Products work.
- Support senior engineers with basic project updates, short summaries, or internal notes to track progress and learning.
- Learn how user needs and ideas turn into technical tasks and features developers work on.
- Assist with writing, reviewing, and testing code under guidance—learning step by step, no prior industry experience expected.
- Work closely with experienced developers to understand bugs, see how issues are fixed, and learn good development practices.
- Get an introduction to how Veeam Kasten products are built and why quality, security, and reliability matter.
- Deepen your knowledge on how AI is used in our data protection products
- Develop your personal and professional skills through intern‑focused workshops organized by the University Relations team (communication, career tips, and confidence at work).

What You’ll Bring
- Last year Bachelor Degree or Master program
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Proficiency in English – level B2 or higher
- Proficiency in Italian/Spanish/German/French/Arabic/Other languages – level B2 or higher
- Willingness and interest in learning about the software industry and international marketing
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment; must be a high-energy, motivated self-starter
