The Sales Engineer – Flow Control serves as a client-facing technical resource focused on driving valve and flow control solution sales across industrial process applications. This role partners closely with Account Managers and customers to understand process requirements, develop engineered solutions, and deliver reliable Emerson valve technologies.
You will help translate complex application needs into practical, value-driven solutions while supporting the sales cycle from initial engagement through project execution and post-sale support.

Mission Summary:
The SQE position is based at the Pittsburgh Technical Center, Pittsburgh PA, and reports to the Supplier Quality Manager based at the Las Vegas, Nevada Technical Center. Quarterly travel to Supplier manufacturing sites is anticipated (at a minimum).
The SQE will be responsible for executing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with Suppliers selected for potential Generation 3 activities, in addition to pursuing continuous improvement and warranty reduction for the current Generation 2 build. The role involves conducting Program Reviews against established program milestones and escalating issues as necessary. The individual must ensure the supply base adheres to Motional standards, that quality and manufacturing processes are enabled, and that non-conformances are identified and prevented from proceeding to subsequent manufacturing sites. Prompt reaction to and cross-functional resolution of known non-conformances is required.
This role is based in our Pittsburgh office and requires in-office days each week.

CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER
(AUTOMATION, INFORMATION & OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS)
We are seeking a control systems engineer with 3-5 years of experience in life sciences manufacturing, specialty chemicals, water/wastewater, oil & gas, energy, or another regulated process control environment in the greater Philadelphia, Princeton, Reading, Wilmington, or Allentown area.
SUMMARY
This position will primarily be involved in the specification, design, and configuration of programmable logic controllers (PLC), distributed control systems (DCS), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and data historians (OSI PI). As part of an internal project team or supporting a client at their site, this role will interact with cross-functional groups to propose and assess modifications to equipment and processes to improve the efficiency of the operations to include preparing and executing engineering documentation, operating/maintenance procedures, commissioning and validation test plans for multiple process and utility systems.

Application Engineer - Systems Life Sciences
As an Application Engineer - Systems Life Sciences, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Systems Sales (Outside) Group by leveraging your technical expertise and product knowledge to develop innovative solutions architectures and bills of materials. You will collaborate with various engineering teams, including Systems Engineering, Integration Engineering, Computer System Validation Engineering, and Lifecycle Field Services, to create comprehensive estimates and scope definitions for our proposals. This position requires you to be an in-house expert on our internal business systems, enabling you to extract data, develop new sales support tools, and keep pricing and other dynamic information current for the sales team. You will build strong relationships with Proconex resources, customers, and suppliers, and occasionally provide support at customer locations for product demonstrations and site walkdowns. Our customers span across enterprise life sciences, energy, oil and gas, wastewater, and specialty gas and chemical industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a technical advisor to the Systems Sales Group, providing insights on product knowledge, solutions architectures, and bills of materials.
• Develop and review professional proposals that clearly define the proposed scope of work and supply.
• Create accurate proposal pricing spreadsheets or GP sheets, defining sell prices and costs for the proposed scope of work.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Integration Engineering, Computer System Validation Engineering, and Lifecycle Field Services organizations to develop estimates and scope definitions.
• Maintain and update internal business systems to extract data, develop new sales support tools, and keep pricing information current.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Proconex resources, customers, and suppliers.

Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Technical field.
• No specific years of experience are required; however, the ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and other documents is essential.
• Technical industrial experience in an engineering capacity is a plus.
Key Competencies:
• Outstanding written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn systems is required.
• Familiarity with DeltaV, Windows Server, Network switches, ROC, Controlwave PAC, SCADA, Emerson AMS, PLC, Syncade MES, AVEVA-PI, AspenTech, AI, ML, Data Lake, Operational Intelligence, Hardware and Software, and Cybersecurity.
• Broad engineering exposure to hardware design, software configuration, regulatory and batch control, and installation.
Working Conditions:
• Typical hours of operation are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in a typical hybrid office setting with occasional field visits to customer plants.
• Ability to participate in site walkdowns is beneficial.
• May include light travel and extra hours if needed.
