The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer for Developer Tools, you will be a key contributor to the software that connects quantum developers to IonQ's hardware. You will focus on contributing to quantum compiler tools and features that our users and internal research teams depend on to run applications. You will build tooling to give users deep insights into how their circuits are optimized and create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for hardware-specific compiler passes, such as quantum error mitigation and quantum error correction, and ensure our tools are robust and well-documented. You will work closely with our Compiler, QEC, and Applications teams to take new features through development, testing, documentation, packaging, and release, and use software engineering best practices to document, distribute, and use them in quantum software applications.

The Developer Tools team builds the critical software layer for the quantum ecosystem. In this role, you will help shape an ecosystem of tooling that turns high-level quantum circuits into optimized instructions for our quantum computers. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and capabilities of quantum applications running on IonQ systems by focusing on the compiler's application-facing features and its connection to the hardware.

The compiler is where quantum algorithms meet quantum hardware. Your work sits at the heart of this critical transformation. The tools you build will define how developers interact with our systems, enabling them to extract maximum performance, trust the compilation process, and tailor optimization strategies for their specific use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain compiler toolchains, optimization tools, and circuit transformation libraries for developer-facing applications.
• Work with the Compiler and Applications teams to package, test, and document new compilation features for both internal and external developers.
• Architect and implement interfaces for hardware-specific compilation features, giving developers deeper control and visibility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in team environments.
• Deep proficiency in Python, our primary language.
• Experience with quantum computing, with an understanding of quantum gates and circuits.

Role Overview 

The Software Engineer will play a vital role in the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for both our existing product line and new innovations. Overview:

The SH&E Engineer serves as the site’s technical authority for environmental compliance, chemical process safety, waste management, and sustainability performance. The SH&E Engineer also leads waste-minimization and landfill-diversion initiatives, supporting Revlon’s strategic commitment to sustainability.

This role ensures full adherence to federal EPA regulations, North Carolina DEQ requirements, RCRA hazardous waste rules, wastewater and stormwater permits, DOT hazardous materials standards, and Revlon corporate environmental policies. The engineer provides critical oversight of chemical handling processes, flammable and hazardous material storage, spill prevention systems, and environmental risk mitigation strategies that protect employees, the community, and the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the site subject-matter expert for EPA, NC DEQ, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, Stormwater, Tier II, TRI, hazardous waste, and universal waste requirements.
• Maintain environmental permits (air, stormwater, wastewater) and ensure 100% on-time submissions for all regulatory reports.
• Lead all federal, state, and local environmental inspections, act as site liaison for regulatory agencies.
• Conduct environmental sampling (wastewater, stormwater, air emissions) and perform analytical interpretation.
• Maintain all required environmental records, manifests, logs, and permit documentation.

Overview:

The SH&E Engineer serves as the site’s technical authority for environmental compliance, chemical process safety, waste management, and sustainability performance. The SH&E Engineer also leads waste-minimization and landfill-diversion initiatives, supporting Revlon’s strategic commitment to sustainability.

This role ensures full adherence to federal EPA regulations, North Carolina DEQ requirements, RCRA hazardous waste rules, wastewater and stormwater permits, DOT hazardous materials standards, and Revlon corporate environmental policies. The engineer provides critical oversight of chemical handling processes, flammable and hazardous material storage, spill prevention systems, and environmental risk mitigation strategies that protect employees, the community, and the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the site subject-matter expert for EPA, NC DEQ, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, Stormwater, Tier II, TRI, hazardous waste, and universal waste requirements.
• Maintain environmental permits (air, stormwater, wastewater) and ensure 100% on-time submissions for all regulatory reports.

  Support site wastewater treatment operations and ensure compliance with permit requirements.
• Conduct testing, trending, and troubleshooting of wastewater parameters affecting compliance.
• Maintain stormwater pollution prevention measures and conduct required inspections and sampling.
• Oversee hazardous waste identification, accumulation, container management, satellite areas, and shipments.
• Prepare and submit all federal/state/local reports including: Tier II, TRI, RCRA Biennial, DMRs, stormwater reports, waste reports, and internal corporate environmental submissions.
• Develop environmental dashboards and KPI reports using Excel or Power BI.
• Conduct environmental trend analysis to identify improvement opportunities and compliance risks.

• Track and report progress toward waste-reduction goals and Zero-to-Landfill commitments.

Who you are:

• Expert understanding of EPA, NC DEQ, RCRA, SPCC, CAA, CWA, DOT hazardous materials, and wastewater regulatory frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of chemical hazard evaluation, chemical compatibility, flammable storage requirements, and basic process safety engineering principles.

We’re seeking a Hardware Verification Engineer who thrives on solving hard problems, building tools that make life easier for others, and driving verification with both rigor and creativity. About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with existing demonstrable drainage modelling expertise and skills in data analysis who can help us with the development of new ideas and solutions, alongside providing robust established support to our clients.

About you

You will have at least a years’ surface water and/or wastewater drainage modelling experience (using InfoWorks ICM or equivalent) and ideally also have expertise in GIS and coding to help present and solve complex, data-intensive problems. You will have good understanding of risks and solutions relating to urban runoff. Importantly, you will be a team player.

You will have a minimum professional qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and have studied mathematics to A’level (or equivalent).
