What You’ll Do
Strategy & Advisory
- Develop and execute data and analytics strategies aligned to client business objectives
- Advise executive stakeholders on analytics platforms, emerging technologies and measurable outcomes
- Design and deliver strategic roadmaps that guide clients through data and analytics platform adoption
- Stay current on industry trends, AI capabilities and emerging technologies, and thoughtfully apply them where they create value
- Deliver billable consulting services, including strategy engagements and hands-on analytics work
Client Development & Account Leadership
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships rooted in trust and value delivery
- Partner with sales and delivery teams to identify growth opportunities
- Help clients understand the business value of analytics investments and define clear next steps
- Own strategic and technical account relationships and act as the strategic point of contact for assigned clients
- Represent InterWorks in key client conversations and strategic planning discussions

Must Haves
- 5+ years of experience in technology leadership, strategic consulting, analytics or a related field
- Proven experience building strategic roadmaps and linking business outcomes to data and analytics solutions
- Strong understanding of the modern data and analytics ecosystem, including cloud platforms and analytics tools
- Ability to identify automation and transformation opportunities where AI can drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage
- Experience advising clients on technology adoption, change management and long-term strategy
- Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Sigma, dbt, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau and/or Fivetran
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business narratives

That brings us to you. As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll partner closely with our Go-To-Market and Sales teams to position, build and deliver the best solutions for our clients. We’re looking for someone who blends technical expertise with a people-first approach—someone who knows their way around analytics platforms and architectures but also loves connecting with clients, translating needs and finding solutions that stick.

Location Preferences: We’d love for you to join us from one of our offices in Oklahoma City, Tulsa or Stillwater Oklaoma. We are also interested in Raleigh-Durham, NC. Remote work may be possible depending on the situation, let’s chat.
Salary Range: $85,000–$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
What You’ll Do
- Translate business requirements into smart, scalable solutions for organizations of all sizes
- Lead and manage complex projects with multiple moving parts and stakeholders
- Build trusted technical relationships and identify opportunities to bring value
- Develop MVPs and proof-of-concepts to demonstrate what’s possible with modern analytics tools
- Share your expertise in engaging ways, from large client presentations to team mentorship
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver great work and grow together
What You’ll Need
Must-Haves
- Hands-on experience with visual analytics and database platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, MySQL or Redshift
- Strong problem-solving skills with both technical and creative approaches
- Excellent communication—verbal, written and presentation—across all levels
- The ability to connect with clients in a personable, relatable and engaging way
What We’d Like You to Have
- Familiarity with data orchestration and transformation tools such as dbt, Matillion, Fivetran or Python
- Experience in a technology leadership role—mentoring, managing projects or guiding others
- A strategic mindset for evaluating solution design, scalability and long-term cost of ownership
- An understanding of the analytics and data landscape, from commercial models to emerging trends
- Experience embedding or designing data applications using analytics tools and code

This is a paid internship with the option for students to pursue academic credit depending on their department.
Please be advised that this role is required to be located in the InterWorks headquarters office in Stillwater Oklahoma. Remote work or telecommuting arrangements outside of this jurisdiction are not permissible for this position.
We estimate this role as $15 USD an hour, based on experience and skillset.

- Use data visualization tools to tell stories with data
- Promote internal efforts around data-driven decision-making and performance measurement
- Work with key stakeholders for requirement gathering and acceptance criteria
- Provide structured and high-quality content that summarizes trends and flags underlying drivers
