We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to evolve our global marketing website (gong.io), an important destination for customers and prospects to learn about Gong. Our ideal candidate has a passion for web development, is a great cross-functional communicator, and has a knack getting the visuals right. You’ve previously owned or contributed significantly to a marketing website and are excited to partner with marketing, design and growth to move business metrics. Our tech stack includes React (Next.js), TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead development and maintenance of our high-traffic, multilingual marketing website.
• Own Sanity (CMS) infrastructure that allows marketers to create and update content independently
• Collaborate with our Growth team to implement A/B tests to improve user experience and conversion rates across multiple channels (Ads, search, direct mail)
• Build and maintain our design system for consistent brand experience
• Optimize site performance, page speed, and SEO
• Improve and maintain localization workflows to support our global audience
• Continuously improve our engineering process, tools, and systems that allow us to scale the code base, productive, and team
• Support security, compliance, and privacy requirements across the site
• Collaborate with and mentor other engineers when appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Minimum 5+ years of professional, web development or frontend engineering experience with a marketing or growth website
• Strong proficiency in React
• Experience with web frameworks like Next.js, Nuxt, or Astro as content-focused web applications
• Experience with headless content management systems (Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, Dato, or other)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of web performance, SEO, and accessibility best practices
• Experience with, but not a dependency on, AI tools for coding
• Knowledge of integrations for CRM (Marketo, Hubspot), analytics (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Posthog), and tag management (Google Tag Manager, Tealium)

• Experience in a fast-pace B2B or agency environment
• Experience with Vercel or Cloudflare
• Portfolio of web development or personal projects you can showcase

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $117,000 - $185,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic AI Integration: Direct the adoption of AI design tools (v0.dev, bolt.new, Lovable) to compress the development lifecycle from weeks to days without sacrificing quality.
• Architecture & Standards: Define and enforce the technical standards for production-ready full-stack applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and accessibility across all projects.
• Design-Dev Synthesis: Lead the integration of Figma-based design systems with AI-driven development to create seamless, automated handoff processes.
• Operational Excellence: Manage a ticket-driven workflow in Jira, optimizing team velocity and ensuring technical documentation meets enterprise-level requirements.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a bridge between Strategy, Creative, and Technology departments to ensure AI-powered solutions meet complex business objectives.
• Backend & Data Strategy: Oversee the implementation of robust backend services (Supabase, SQL/NoSQL) and secure authentication frameworks (OAuth, JWT) across the portfolio.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using platforms like Supabase to support frontend functionality.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, AI Builders, and Innovation Leads throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualification

• 8–12+ years in full-stack development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management capacity. Bonus points if you have experience working in a startup or rapid prototyping environment.
• Proven track record of implementing AI design tools(such as v0.dev, bolt.new, Lovable, or similar platforms) and workflow automation (e.g., N8N) within a professional engineering team.
• Deep expertise in modern frameworks (React, Vue, Nuxt), TypeScript, and multiple backend languages including Python, PHP, and NodeJS.
• Expert-level knowledge of design systems, design tokens, and CSS frameworks (Tailwind) to ensure brand consistency at scale.
• Comprehensive understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), deployment workflows, and enterprise security patterns.
• Solid understanding of backend development, including API design (REST, GraphQL), server-side logic, and database management.
• Proficiency with authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT) and security best practices.
• Expert-level proficiency with Figma, including design system management and component libraries.
