What is expected out of you?

• Provide personal and professional support to the Chief Corporate Affairs and Public Policy Officer
• Provide intermittent help to her direct stakeholders for external events (think schedules, travel reservations, etc for conferences, and InMobi events for external stakeholders)
• Represent and elevate the effectiveness of her/his office with poise, grace, confidence and utmost professionalism.  
• Schedule stakeholder meetings, staff meetings, off-sites, dinners, events, and speaking engagements.  Ensure that all logistics are handled, including facilities, A/V, security, and catering requirements, with focus on efficient time management.
• Manage complex, very demanding, and every changing calendars involving numerous participants spanning across various departments/functional groups and geographic locations/time zones with tact and excellent judgment without giving off the perception of being a “gatekeeper.”
• Manage department deadlines, both internal and external, to ensure smooth delivery of outcomes
• Coordinate, set up and clean up after meetings
• Plan, book and coordinate dynamic travel logistics and have the foresight to think through all of the logistical details.
• Organize and submit expense reports, as needed.
• Anticipate the needs of your executive and proactively allow time for travel between meetings and to and from events, make restaurant reservations or arrangements for all necessary breakfasts/lunches/dinners, reminds executives of upcoming birthdays/anniversaries/significant personal and professional events, arrange for flowers/gifts to be delivered proactively to personal and professional relations. Ensure executives don’t have to skip meals, miss medical appointments or significant professional/social/personal activities. 
• Partner with office managers, IT, facilities and other administrative support professionals to maintain the cleanliness of the office and conference rooms, ensure that the office is always stock full of supplies and sundries, coordinate weekly office lunches.

An ideal candidate is someone who can communicate and deal effectively with senior government officials / bureaucrats and ministers as well as internal teams to create a seamless flow of information to drive policies favoring the company and the industry. The person will support the SVP, Public Policy in identifying key policy issues, gather views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. 

Job responsibilities

• Support SVP, Public Policy in identifying key policy issues, stakeholders and influencers towards achieving positive outcomes for the various businesses of InMobi. 
• Maintaining and sustaining communication channels with industry leaders, policy makers, regulators at a central and state level
• Help develop policy positions on economic regulations affecting the Internet and gaming industries in India and devise strategy to engage stakeholders
• Identify, monitor, and analyze competition and trade policy issues in India and apprise SVP, Public Policy to chalk out the direction
• Engaging directly with government, political leaders and policy makers and help with setting up meetings with senior bureaucrats and important decision makers in various ministries
• Advise internal teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services and policies related to these
• Represent the company in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, if required

Essential qualifications

• Masters degree level in related fields; passionate about internet, tech products and services
• 10+ years of experience in working with government department and on public policy issues
• Exceptional contacts in the policy making space
• Exceptional personal, political, analytical, organizational and people management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong professional reputation in the industry for personal level of ethical conduct, confidentiality and integrity

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a relevant business or non-governmental organization or think tank, or in a political, governmental or regulatory context 
• Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex technical and regulatory issues
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a multi-task work environment

Job responsibilities

• Assist Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer: Support the Chief Corporate Affairs & Public Policy Officer in driving the research and thought leadership brand building activities of the company.
• Research and Analysis: Read, analyze, and summarize scientific papers, academic research, industry reports, and other relevant materials with quick turnaround time. Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in the tech policy environment in India and globally.
• Policy and Research Papers: Write policy, position, and research papers, incorporating insights from industry experts and academic research. Draft responses to consultation papers based on business priorities, risks, and opportunities.
• Academic Publications: Author academic papers and position them in top academic journals, showcasing the company's expertise and contributing to thought leadership in the field.
