The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Proven experience in backend development: TS/Node (required)
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers

The Role:

As a Principal Software Engineer on the Cyberbank Core team at Galileo, you will lead broad, impactful projects across multiple teams as one of the senior-most technical contributors shaping our next-generation lean core banking platform. Your influence will span teams, projects, and geographies, driving both technical direction and how our teams design, build, and operate the services and data pipelines that power scalable, performant, and secure banking products.

You will be hands-on and in the details as an exemplary practitioner: in the software we develop, in the infrastructure we operate, and in the tools and techniques we use to test, release, and maintain it at scale. You will help teams evolve codebases to ship improvements safely and frequently in a regulated, cloud-native environment. As part of this, you will steward a broader engineering community and mentor engineers across the organization.

You will proactively identify the right problems to solve and advocate for organizational priorities. This role is inherently cross-functional, you will work closely with engineering, product, compliance, data, and executive stakeholders to define and execute on technical strategy for Cyberbank Core. You'll face and solve a wide range of challenges: architectural, operational, and product-related, across multiple products and geographies.

What You’ll Do:

• Own driving Cyberbank Core's software architecture and systems forward — setting long-term direction and executing on it across multiple teams and quarters, with a particular focus on the core banking services, data pipelines, and API platform.

• Define the right boundaries, APIs, and integrations between teams and with clients and partners to ensure technical and business success across multiple geographies.

What You’ll Need:

• 10+ years of programming experience; mastery of software development independent of language.
• Advanced expertise in designing, building, and operating large-scale fault-tolerant distributed systems, applications, databases, and workflows.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous delivery principles and techniques: you've built systems with layered test automation that is always safe for automated releases to production, enabling a great, low-cycle-time developer experience.
• Deep expertise in designing and managing cloud-based solutions with a strong focus on resiliency experience with AWS (or other public cloud infrastructure) required.
• A high standard for what "great" looks like, and experience continuously improving legacy systems to reach it.
• Strong judgment, and experience recognizing and driving out critical decisions in a balanced and pragmatic way.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across remote, distributed teams.
• Experience working in a regulated industry.
• Experience working on banking backends, particularly cores, ledgers, or payment systems is a plus.

Formarás parte del equipo de Country Performance, el área que hace de "puente" entre la estrategia y la calle. Tu rol será clave para impulsar el desarrollo del negocio en Uruguay, interactuando constantemente con Operaciones, Marketing, Growth y B2B.

Buscamos un perfil híbrido: alguien que se sienta cómodo analizando datos en una planilla, pero que también tenga el "olfato" y la proactividad para ejecutar acciones tácticas en la operación diaria.

¿Cómo nos ayudarás a cumplir nuestra misión?

1. Performance y Operaciones (Foco en Drivers)

• Monitoreo de KPI: Seguimiento diario de las métricas operativas para identificar necesidades y oportunidades de mejora en la oferta.
• Gestión de Incentivos: Ejecutar y optimizar el presupuesto de campañas de bonos para asegurar la conexión de la flota en momentos de alta demanda.
• Gestión de flotas: colaborar con gestión de flotas con una visión comercial.
• Retención y Loyalty: Implementar y seguir iniciativas para mejorar la fidelidad de los conductores, analizando su comportamiento y frecuencia de uso de la app.

2. Soporte a Marketing y Presencia Local

• Colaborar con el equipo de marketing en adaptación de campañas, asegurando que las  comunicaciones se ajusten al medio local, asegurando que el mensaje resuene en el público uruguayo.
• Activaciones en Vía Pública: Identificar puntos estratégicos en la ciudad para comunicación exterior y coordinar acciones tácticas con partners locales.
• Análisis de competencia: realizar relevamientos del marco competitivo para encontrar oportunidades en las diferentes plazas en las que operamos.
• Soporte en tareas operativas recurrentes: comunicación redes sociales, sorteos, coordinar activaciones, entre otras tareas operativas relacionadas. 

3. Partnerships y Expansión de Negocio

• Optimización de Alianzas: Dar soporte al área de Partnerships para que los convenios (descuentos en combustible, servicios, etc.) sean eficientes y conocidos, tanto para pasajeros como conductores. 
• Generación de Demanda: Ayudar en la ejecución de estrategias para potenciar el crecimiento del negocio y la captación de nuevos usuarios/flotas.
• Soporte operativo en carga de datos y análisis de las diferentes alianzas en la plaza.
• Soporte en Expansión: Colaborar en el análisis y la ejecución logística cuando el negocio decida expandirse a nuevas zonas o ciudades del país. 

¿Qué buscamos? 

• Graduados o estudiante avanzado en Ingeniería, Administración de Empresas o carreras afines.
• Preferentemente experiencia dentro de áreas de Crecimiento/Desarrollo de Negocio/Business Intelligence trabajando con equipos multidisciplinarios.
• Capacidad analítica para procesar datos, interpretar resultados, proponer acciones
• Tener visión estratégica para interpretar las necesidades y oportunidades del negocio.
• Excelente nivel de manejo de paquete Office o Google Workspace.
