Responsibilities

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Technical Consultant (Post Sales) to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist customers in adopting the Workato platform for integration and automation from both business and technical perspectives. You will be defining and driving best practices, working with customer business and technical stakeholders. You will help Workato extend the functionality of our product and continuously improve our engagement best practices. This is a remote role; candidates based anywhere in India are welcome to apply! In this role, your responsibilities would include:

• Onboarding new customers onto Workato’s platform by providing technical consulting, guidance, and enablement to customers to achieve value quickly   

• Engaging with customers to gather integration and automation requirements and leading the solution design process jointly with customers

• Sharing best practices from a business and technical perspective, related to deployment models and governance structures

• Working closely with Product and Engineering to review customer requirements and feedback, and identify opportunities for Workato platform enhancements, while managing customer expectations

• Becoming a Workato evangelist with the ability to demonstrate how Workato can drive business automation in both direct deployments and embedded solutions across a broad set of industries

• Becoming a trusted customer advisor and a customer advocate within Workato

• Participating in and conducting post-onboarding deployment health checks and guidance on integration and process optimizations

• Contributing to the growth of our technical consulting team by creating or enhancing content such as presentations, demos, best practices, architecture patterns, and online courses for use by both customers and enabling our extended team

• Prioritizing and delivering an outstanding customer service experience to Workato customers

• Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, as well as any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in solutions and implementation consulting

• Knowledge and understanding of integrations and system design principles

• Good understanding of technology and industry trends, especially in the app integration space

• Demonstrated implementation of quality integration solutions by applying best practices 

• Demonstrated good understanding of on-premise infrastructure & cloud-based deployments, configurations along with monitoring & management

• Demonstrated understanding of the SDLC & end-to-end experience in developing, supporting & troubleshooting integrations

• Demonstrated ability to create quality technical documentation 

• Experience working with at least one (1) Integration Platforms such as Workato, Tray, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, WebMethods, Oracle Integration Suite

• Experience working with cloud business apps like Workday / NetSuite / Salesforce / Servicenow / SAP is a plus

• Experience with web development frameworks and knowledge of JS frontend and backend is a plus

• Experience with OEM or embedded SaaS solutions is a plus 

• Experience embedding third-party integrations or iFrames into web app is a plus

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and versatile General Manager to lead our newly formed wholesale company in Mexico. This standalone entity will handle all aspects of importing industrial PPE and selling to distributors. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with comprehensive knowledge of running a business in Mexico, including operations, supply chain management, finance, government regulations, and import laws. They will have an opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, build key relationships, and support the already established sales team. This role requires a hands-on approach to establishing and scaling the company while aligning with our U.S. parent company's goals. Must be fluent in Spanish and English.

LOCATION

This position is based in Mexico - specific location is preferably Monterrey based on business needs. We are willing to review applicants in Mexico City with aligned experience. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mexican subsidiary, including inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and order fulfillment to ensure efficient importation and distribution of PPE products.
• Supply Chain Management: Manage end-to-end supply chain processes, from sourcing and importing goods from international suppliers to coordinating with local distributors. Optimize for cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and quality control.
• Financial Oversight: Handle budgeting, financial planning, accounting, and reporting. Ensure accurate financial records, tax compliance, and profitability analysis in accordance with Mexican and international standards.
• Regulatory and Compliance Expertise: Navigate Mexican government regulations, import/export laws (including customs duties, tariffs, and trade agreements like USMCA), labor laws, environmental standards, and health/safety requirements specific to PPE. Maintain compliance with all relevant authorities, such as SAT, IMSS, and SEMARNAT.
• Team Building and Management: Recruit, train, and manage a local team across operations,  and finance. Foster a collaborative culture focused on performance and compliance.
• Stakeholder Relations: Leverage or develop strong relationships with key external partners, including customs brokers, government officials, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and industry associations to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues proactively.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business plans, risk management strategies, and growth initiatives. Report regularly to U.S. headquarters on performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and legal risks associated with importing and distributing PPE in Mexico.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience in a standalone company or subsidiary in Mexico, preferably in wholesale, import/export, or manufacturing sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexican business operations, including corporate setup, taxation (e.g., IVA, ISR), labor laws, and import regulations (e.g., customs procedures, IMMEX program).
• Proven expertise in supply chain and logistics, with experience in importing goods under international trade agreements.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and financial software.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal) is required; must be fluent in English to effectively communicate with U.S. headquarters.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate government bureaucracy and maintain compliance in a regulated industry.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Existing relationships with Mexican customs authorities, regulatory officials, logistics providers, and industry networks in the PPE or industrial goods sector.
• Experience in the PPE, safety equipment, or related industrial products industry.
• Familiarity with U.S.-Mexico cross-border operations and USMCA compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data analytics tools.
• Certification in international trade, supply chain (e.g., CSCP), or Mexican business law is a plus.
