Project Description
As a member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for delivering solutions to your assigned team and scalable, reusable solutions across the entire engineering organization. You will operate infrastructure and ensure services are monitored, reliable, automated, and scalable, supporting tasks from server provisioning and application deployments to troubleshooting. You will also help bridge the gap between development and operations, collaborating across engineering and business teams.

What You'll Do
- Contribute to the implementation and design of systems and networks used to operate production infrastructure with a focus on automation;
- Collaborate with developers on operations-related issues, providing support and guidance;
- Develop tools to monitor infrastructure and custom applications;
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack;
- Document system design and application operation procedures;
- Build, monitor and tune production systems;
Job Requirements
- Experience with or knowledge of AWS and physical infrastructure (other cloud is a plus);
- Experience with or knowledge of automation tools (Terraform or Ansible);
- Troubleshooting skills and experience with Linux;
- Understanding of Linux, networking, and internet fundamentals;
- Understanding of monitoring infrastructure and applications (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB);
- Scripting skills in one or more of the following: Bash, Python;
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (or similar);
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins);
- Confident use of Git, including branching, pull requests, and code review;
- Basic understanding of security concepts, including secrets management, IAM, and HTTPS/TLS;
- Ability to work with logs and identify the root cause of failures;
- Ability to work independently and deliver tasks with minimal supervision;
- Readiness to participate in on-call / shift duties on a rotating schedule;
- English: B1+ level;
Nice To Have
- Experience with highly loaded production systems;
- Experience with support services such as Consul, Zookeeper & ELK;
- Experience with noSQL solutions (Couchbase a plus);
- Experience with big data systems (EMR, Spark & Hive a plus);

Project Description
Data Management Platform is the core system that receives, processes and provides information to other external DMPs and real time platforms. The purpose of DMP is to store the connection between users/devices and their respective behavioral categories. Further this data is used by the other teams for the analytics and digital ad targeting. Team roadmap includes developing a new system based on the streaming architecture with a relevant tech stack.

What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end development, from design to production, with a focus on innovation and efficiency;
- Lead and mentor developers on complex projects impacting core business systems;
- Contribute to the design and development of next-generation data solutions;
- Implement high-scale big data solutions and contribute to platform infrastructure and architecture;
- Research and evaluate core technologies, integrations, and external APIs;
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and data providers;
- Participate in an off-hours pager duty rotation;
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience;
- 4+ years of software development experience;
- 2+ years of experience with Apache Spark;
- 2+ years of experience with Scala (preferred) and/or Python or Java;
- Experience working with high-performance, large-scale, or distributed data systems;
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience with Git;
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and streaming systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus;
- Familiarity with tools such as GitLab, Grafana, InfluxDB, and Kibana is a plus;
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team;
- English level: B1+ or higher;

About The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be the primary architect of our data ecosystem. Alvys is shifting toward a Snowflake-centric data architecture to power our next generation of logistics intelligence. You aren't just building pipelines; you are defining our LLM-based data strategy, enabling large-scale ML model deployment, and leveraging Snowflake Cortex to turn fragmented logistics data into actionable AI-driven products.
This is a high-visibility, 'player-coach' position. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our data infrastructure supports real-time operational needs today while scaling for the AI-first logistics world of 2026 and beyond.
Our Tech Stack
- Data Platform: Snowflake (Warehouse, Cortex AI/ML, Semantic Models, LLM Agents)
- Data Pipelines: dbt, Fivetran, Reverse ETL (Census)

- Define and implement the strategy for LLM-based data products, including data preparation, semantic layer design, and embedding pipelines for RAG-based applications.
- Own the design and evolution of our Snowflake architecture. Lead the implementation of Snowflake Cortex for AI/ML workloads, including semantic models and LLM agents.
- Design and maintain reliable, performant ELT/Reverse ETL pipelines. Ensure our multi-tenant SaaS data remains isolated, secure, and performant at scale.
- Build and operationalize pipelines for large-scale ML and LLM model development, moving from POC to production-grade deployment within the Snowflake perimeter.
- Think holistically about the data estate. Reduce complexity through modularity and well-defined service boundaries (e.g., Medallion Architecture).
- Serve as the go-to expert for emerging data trends. Mentor engineers and partner with Product and Design to translate complex business logic into automated deliverables.
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a proven track record of delivering mission-critical data platforms.
- Deep proficiency in Snowflake (Data Modeling, Query Optimization, Security, and Cortex AI functions).
- Expert-level skill in SQL and Python. Extensive experience with dbt and modern orchestration (Airflow/Dagster).
- Demonstrated experience building pipelines for ML or LLM-based applications, including feature engineering and model deployment.
- Competency in Azure (preferred) or other major cloud providers, including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Experience driving cross-team consensus on architectural decisions and mentoring junior/mid-level engineers.
- Ownership: You take end-to-end responsibility. If it’s in production, it’s yours—from the initial schema design to the final dashboard latency.
- Pragmatism: You believe technical debt is a strategic choice. You choose solutions that scale and solve real problems over theoretical "perfection."
- Simplicity: You prioritize modularity and clean design to reduce cognitive load in a complex logistics domain.
