The Product Owner will form part of the product management team working with our industry-leading gaming products and platforms. Following the guidance and direction of the Product Manager, you will take ownership of specific parts of the product offering and key initiatives on the product roadmap. You will work closely with engineering teams, product designers, data analysts, and stakeholders to continuously improve our products and the user experience.

A taster of what you will be involved with

• Produce detailed product specifications in the form of user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, complemented by descriptive aids such as wireframes and flowcharts where necessary, to ensure the development teams have all required information to deliver the desired outcome.
• Lead the product discovery process for assigned initiatives (including hypothesis generation, requirements gathering, design, and scoping) in collaboration with the product manager, product designers, data analysts, and engineers.
• Assist the product manager in ensuring that the product development backlog is properly organised, prioritised, and kept up-to-date.
• Contribute to the product vision, and champion this vision with stakeholders and the engineering teams.
• Ensure that proper analytics, tracking, and data collection mechanisms are in place to understand user behaviours and/or product performance.
• Provide the necessary product support to the development teams as may be required to aid their delivery.
• Work with other parts of the organisation as and when necessary to ensure the expected outcomes are achieved and are measured.
• Communicate product releases and the status of ongoing product development to the wider organisation.
• Hold effective demos and trainings with stakeholders for new product concepts and releases as and when required.
• Ensure that relevant product documentation and wikis are well maintained.
• Perform user acceptance testing of new product releases (or ensure coordination of).
• Continuously review the live product to identify areas for improvement and any deviations from the expected experience.
• Assist and support the Product Manager in any matters as may be delegated from time to time.
• Learn the market & customer needs through data and customer feedback.
• Assist and drive the team to follow Agile principles best practices.

What we are looking for:

• A relevant academic degree or qualifications; preferably technology and/or business related.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a similar role.
• Prior experience in the gaming industry will be considered a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working with agile and remote development teams.
• Comfortable and confident working with both the technical and commercial sides of an organisation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into solvable and easily understandable parts.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, your primary objective will be to ensure stability, reliability, and performance of the areas service across our main online casino product.

Our Product Development organisation is truly Global with cross functional teams spanning 6 Tech Hubs – Malta, Budapest, Stockholm, Tallinn, Kyiv and Athens. With nearly 600 strong professionals, the Product Development organisation is spear-headed by our CTO-CPO with all our talented Area Teams working together.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident & Problem Management: Investigate system incidents, drive Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), and execute long-term remedial fixes. Proactively reduce the number of incidents caused by system changes.
• Observability & Metrics: Define and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and success metrics for new initiatives. Build and maintain comprehensive dashboards to achieve observability excellence.
• Performance & Capacity: Identify and help resolve performance bottlenecks.Optimize infrastructure and code to maintain fast service, and conduct capacity planning to forecast future hardware or cloud resource requirements.
• Availability & Change Management: Guarantee the Platform components remain highly reachable and functional for users. Oversee deployments to ensure new code does not disrupt the existing system.

What we are looking for:

Supporting and troubleshooting. Using most of the following technologies:

• Observability & Monitoring: Deep experience building dashboards and tracking SLAs/SLOs using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Coralogix, Splunk, or Loki.
• Programming & Automation: Proficiency in scripting and coding to automate manual tasks (eliminate "toil") and build reliability tools. Strong skills in .NET, Python, Powershell or Bash are highly preferred.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud: Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure using Terraform or Ansible, along with a solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience scaling and managing distributed systems using Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker.
• CI/CD & Change Management: Familiarity with deployment pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Team City, Octopus) to ensure safe, automated rollouts that don't cause incidents.

• Learn our Gaming System and underlying business model/processes
• Provide high quality 3rd line Technical Support for Gaming System to our Customer Support Team, or to our Central Gaming or to our Partners and Engineers in multiple locations (Developers, DevOps, QAs etc.)
• Participate in regular configurations of Gaming System

You will be part of preparing our journey to containerization, improved delivery via cloud deployment, increasing the scalability of our systems while also maintaining their high quality. To sum it up: you will be taking our Gaming platform, which is used by a worldwide audience, to a new level!  

A taster of what you will be involved with:

• Working with cutting edge technology enabling our Cloud Journey
• The DevOps Engineer for our Gaming Department will be responsible for supporting development teams (both Backend and Frontent focused), and will be instrumental in enhancing CI/CD pipelines, improving monitoring and observability, and supporting & mantaining other custom infra solutions.
• Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, guiding developers to improve automation, reliability, and test coverage. Lead the migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions and foster a culture of developer-led deployment
• Design and evolve monitoring systems with Prometheus/Grafana (or future alternatives), integrating observability into CI/CD workflows. Ensure robust tracing, logging, and metrics correlation across services.
• Support and extend custom-built infrastructure components to handle increased traffic and complex routing. Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to ensure performance, scalability, and security.
• Work closely with all Gaming teams and DevOps engineers focused on infrastrucutre and operations. Provide tooling and guidance to developers across environments. 

What we're looking for:

• Experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus; strong focus on deployment automation, speed, reliability, and test coverage. Ability to guide developers and foster ownership of CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency with Prometheus/Grafana; capable of building dashboards, improving alerting, and integrating monitoring into CI/CD. Understanding of observability practices including tracing, logging, and metrics correlation.
• Experience with custom-built NGINX setups; able to extend routing rules to support increased traffic and complex routing needs.
• Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, ALB, VPC, EKS); experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and modules.
• Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters, ideally with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE.
• Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar for automation and tooling.
• Proficient in Git and versioned source control practices.
• Support build and deployment processes for both backend (.NET) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, StencilJS) applications, ensuring smooth CI/CD integration and performance monitoring
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work with Gaming teams and Infra/Ops DevOps engineers.
• Solid understanding of DevOps culture and ITIL best practices. Problem-solving mindset with ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Act as a technical enabler for development teams, providing tooling, guidance, and support across environments. Champion DevOps best practices and empower teams to take ownership of their delivery pipelines

As a Team Lead – Wallet at Betsson Group, you will lead a team of talented engineers responsible for one of the most critical platforms in our ecosystem – the system that securely handles player balances and financial transactions across our global gaming operations.

Wallet platform is one of Betsson’s most critical systems, responsible for maintaining player balances and processing high volumes of real-time financial transactions across multiple regulated markets with strict requirements on correctness, reliability, and consistency.

As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in both technical leadership and people leadership, working hands-on with your team to design, build and evolve one of Betsson’s core platforms.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, where you will remain closely involved in architecture and engineering decisions while helping your team grow and succeed.

You will join our growing engineering hub in Málaga, collaborating with international teams across Betsson’s global technology organization.

ABOUT THE JOB

Wallet platform is responsible for the secure and reliable handling of player funds across Betsson’s global operations, supporting deposits, withdrawals, bets, winnings, bonuses and adjustments across multiple products and markets. Because the platform handles player balances and financial transactions, correctness, consistency, and auditability are critical design considerations.

As part of this team, you will work on systems that must meet very high standards of:

• Reliability and consistency
• Performance and scalability under high transaction load
• Operational stability
• Cost-efficient cloud operation

Wallet is a transaction-heavy system with a strong relational database core, and engineers are expected to have strong understanding of backend architecture, data consistency, and performance considerations.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, DBAs, and DevOps teams to ensure the platform evolves to meet both business and regulatory needs across multiple jurisdictions.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

As a Team Lead and Backend Engineer, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supporting their growth and development
• Take part in recruiting, onboarding and performance reviews
• Work closely with Product Managers and stakeholders to deliver business and regulatory requirements
• Design and develop backend systems that are scalable, reliable and maintainable
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology evolution of the Wallet platform
• Collaborate with DBAs and DevOps to ensure optimal system performance and operational stability
• Drive improvements in system performance, reliability and cost efficiency
• Help maintain high engineering standards through code reviews and technical discussions
• Help drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve productivity, code quality, and engineering practices

Our teams are cross-functional, and engineers collaborate closely across disciplines to deliver high-quality systems.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Experience leading or mentoring teams of software engineers
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Excellent knowledge of C# and .NET
• Experience designing scalable backend systems
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and data consistency
• Solid understanding of relational databases, transaction processing, and query performance

Nice to have:

• Experience working with high-throughput transactional systems
• Experience with cloud-native architectures
• Experience in financial, payments, or high-reliability platforms
