About the role:
Senior Manager, Technical Accounting, would lead our technical accounting work. You will work cross-functionally to understand and to provide technical accounting guidance on new or complex transactions and corresponding financial disclosures. You will develop, enhance, and maintain accounting policies and ensure policies reflect current practices and operations of the business and are up-to-date and compliant with existing and newly adopted accounting standards and regulations.
You will report into the Associate Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.
Work Location:
This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in: Boston, MA. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area. #LI-Remote
Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $134,136 - $176,053 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our technical accounting work required under US GAAP and statutory reporting and partner with the Tax Team to ensure tax aspects are considered.
- Partner with teams, and external partners and/or consultants, to:
- provide technical accounting expertise to support new transactions and new or evolving business arrangements, and
- prepare technical accounting analysis on complex accounting issues.
- Create our accounting policies.
- Oversee, and apply new accounting pronouncements applicable to the Company.
- Work with the Company's external auditors on technical accounting matters.
- Help review financial disclosures in SEC and statutory filings related to our accounting policies and impact of new accounting pronouncements.
- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams to understand broad goals and provide accounting guidance and best practice recommendations to allow process improvements.
- Perform ad-hoc technical accounting research and analysis to support special projects.
- Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
- Certified Public Accountant licensure (CPA).
- 2+ years of experience with US-based insurance companies.
- 2+ years of practical experience in financial reporting.

As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and complete revenue and cost accounting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Work Location

What You’ll Do
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process and how upstream activities impact revenue recognition and financial reporting
- Perform monthly and quarterly analytical reviews to ensure revenue and related accounts are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards
- Prepare and record journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, and related accounts
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Professional Services, Operations, FP&A, and IT to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and accurate reporting
- Support the design, enhancement, and maintenance of reporting and analytics related to revenue and related metrics
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, including execution of key SOX controls and documentation of processes
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations
- Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
- 2–5+ years of accounting experience, with revenue accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a SaaS, technology, or services-based business environment is a plus
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 experience preferred)
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Product, Legal, and Professional Services teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving processes
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analytics tools, ERP systems, or revenue automation tools is a plus

Syner-G is seeking a Sr. Revenue Accountant with 5+ years of experience to support accurate revenue recognition, billing, contract review, and accounts receivable functions in a fast‑growing life science consulting organization. This role is responsible for applying ASC 606 revenue standards, preparing and reviewing customer invoices, managing collections, and supporting month‑end close. The Senior Revenue Accountant partners closely with Sales, Operations, Project Management, and Accounting to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This is a hybrid position, 2-3 days in our Framingham Office location.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Apply ASC 606 guidance to evaluate, document, and recognize revenue for consulting and project‑based contracts.
- Review customer contracts and Statements of Work to determine billing terms, performance obligations, and proper revenue recognition treatment.
- Prepare, review, and validate customer invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contract requirements.
- Manage accounts receivable activities including monitoring aging, performing collections outreach, and resolving customer payment issues.
- Support month‑end close by performing revenue and AR reconciliations, variance analysis, and related schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of revenue accounting, billing, or accounts receivable experience.
- Public accounting or auditing experience (Big 4 or similar) preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Disc Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accounting Manager to join its Finance organization and support the company’s financial reporting, control, and compliance requirements as a public, clinical stage biopharmaceutical company. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role will be responsible for leading critical components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP; and maintaining an effective internal control environment in compliance with Section 404(b) of the Sarbanes Oxley Act.
The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee general ledger activities, including the preparation and review of complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses, and will manage accrual processes across research, clinical operations, CMC, G&A, and commercial functions. This position will partner closely with FP&A and cross functional stakeholders to validate spend, support forecasting and budgeting activities, and develop and maintain clinical trial accrual models to ensure appropriate recognition of costs incurred.
In addition, the Corporate Accounting Manager will serve as a key liaison for internal and external auditors, supporting integrated audits and quarterly reviews through the execution, documentation, and testing of internal controls, as well as the preparation of audit schedules and supporting materials. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a disciplined approach to controls and compliance, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, evolving public company environment while contributing to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Play a lead role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Understands and applies U.S. GAAP, has strong internal control structure understanding and has willingness to challenge current processes or procedures as a trusted business partner.

- Analyze and explain variances between actual results, forecasts, and budgets to management and external auditors.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, typically including a combination of public accounting and biotechnology or life sciences industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and the flexibility to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and Coupa (preferred). Advanced Excel skills required.

- Gain a deep understanding of the activities, processes, and challenges of the teams within Revenue Operations, Technical Revenue, AR, Billing and Quoting.
- Develop the roadmap for automation activities and goals and obtain buy-in of that vision.
- Present roadmaps and plans for automation to Finance and business partners.
- Lead system implementations and enhancements to streamline and automate processes and controls.
- Receive process improvement proposals from Commercial and Accounting teams, understand those proposals, and manage the prioritization of the list of improvements.
- Proactively identify opportunities for both large and small process improvements and propose and implement solutions.
- Perform acceptance testing of process changes to ensure successful results upon go-live.
- Evaluate new product introductions, upstream process changes, and new go-to-market strategies for impacts to the team’s activities and processes.
- Partner closely with IT, Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Commercial Operations, and external implementation partners to design scalable, compliant, and client-centric solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and design data migration, testing, and user acceptance to ensure data integrity, completeness, and readiness for go-live.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting systems, revenue operations, or ERP/revenue automation implementation.
- Deep understanding of revenue systems, controls and track record of enhancing and implementing processes and systems in Revenue.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, and revenue automation tools (e.g., SAP BRIM, Zuora, NetSuite ARM, Oracle Revenue Management).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and align diverse stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect accounting, data, and operational outcomes.
- Self-starter who is hands-on, operates independently and leads through influence in matrixed environments.
- CPA or Chartered Accountant designation would be a plus.
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or with a multi-national publicly traded company with complex, multi-element revenue arrangements.
- Experience integrating CRM, CPQ, CLM, and billing systems in a technology or SaaS environment.
Work Location
This role is based from any of our US offices and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. As a Global AP Specialist at Showpad, you will join a dynamic team within an international company. As part of the finance team, you will need strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. - Review and approve Navan travel bills
- Reconcile company credit cards and post timely into NetSuite
- Suggest vendor accruals at month end to the Asst. Controller
- Ensure all vendors are 1099 compliant, process 1099’s yearly

- Associates degree or equivalent (3 or more years in A/P) in Accounting
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Previous experience with international accounts payable
