Riot engineers bring deep knowledge of specific technical areas but also value the opportunity to work in a variety of broader domains. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll guide an engineering team through all the phases of the software development and operations lifecycle. You’ll also serve as a people manager, mentor, and coach for the engineers, overseeing performance management, growth opportunities, and accountability.
The Content Access Platform (CAP) team runs large-scale, globally distributed systems for millions of players. CAP creates the systems that power the purchasing and fulfillment experiences that all of Riot's players use. Custom catalogs for virtual goods, a full featured gifting system, and a robust, multi-stage fulfillment pipeline are only a few of the mission critical services the team builds and operates. Your passion and relentless drive to deliver players value will help us unlock and power new experiences that delight our players. As a Software Engineering Manager within the CAP group of teams, you will lead the engineering team that builds and operates the services that enable game teams to successfully ship their content to players. You will partner with the teams that create every Riot game, central technology teams, and teams in Tencent to ensure we are making excellent decisions, upholding a high quality bar, and operating efficiently in service of those players. You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Content Access Platform group of teams.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!

About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced engineer with deep expertise in distributed data systems to shape the future of Gusto's storage layer. About the Team:
The Datastores Infrastructure Engineering team designs, builds, and operates the data platforms that power Gusto's product: MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, and S3. We ensure our infrastructure is consistent, reliable, and ready to support Gusto's growing needs. As we transition to self-hosted distributed databases, the team is focused on reducing blast radius, improving operational resilience, and enabling sustainable scale.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $200,000-$230,000 /yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $230,000-$270,000 /yr for San Francisco, Seattle & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.
Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

AXS is seeking a Senior Software Architect to shape the foundation of our next-generation ticketing platforms and experiences. As a key member of our global architecture team, you'll set the vision for systems that power millions of transactions worldwide—designing solutions that are not only robust and scalable, but transformative for fans and clients alike. This is a role for a strategic thinker who thrives on tackling complexity, working across diverse tools, languages, and platforms to bring clarity and cohesion to our technology landscape. We’re looking for a Staff Developer to play a critical role in shaping the future of Later’s technology stack. This is a senior-level role for a highly skilled engineer who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and takes ownership of complex, high-impact initiatives. We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.
Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.
To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.
Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.
