The Role
As a Principal Application Software Engineer on our Enterprise Team, you will design and build mission-critical software that connects engineering, manufacturing, and operations. Your work will directly enable accelerated satellite design, rapid production, and reliable mission execution. You’ll collaborate closely with teams throughout K2 Space and deliver systems that improve efficiency, scale operations, and support ambitious missions.
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across K2 Space — from factory floors to mission control.
- Create and evolve applications that improve how we design, build, and operate our spacecraft.
- Partner closely with engineers, business partners, and leaders across disciplines to understand their challenges and design efficient solutions.
- Develop prototypes test concept and progress to full fledge software products.
- Own full-lifecycle product development from inception to happy customers.
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews with your unique perspective.
- Lead software architecture design, deployment strategy, coding standards, and quality processes.
- Evaluate and make decisions regarding engineering options while balancing tradeoffs.
- Advocate, defend and convert other engineering leaders to your own solutions.
- Use data to drive prioritization of work and design of solutions to create the largest positive impact.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics or a STEM discipline or 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in full stack development, platform engineering, or API development.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS (or Azure, GCP)
- 5+ years of in-depth working experience with CI/CD such as GH Actions, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD.
- Working experience with Docker.
- In-depth working experience with Kubernetes (prefer AWS EKS).
- Expert working experience with one or more of the following static typed programming languages such as C#, Go, Java, C++, TypeScript.
- 5+ years of experience with structured database such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake or similar technologies
- Working experience with unstructured database such as NoSQL, Amazon DynamoDB, MongoDB or similar.
- Strong working experience with REST API or gRPC.
- Strong working experience with binary management platforms such as JFrog Artifactory, AWS CodeArtifact or similar technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure orchestration and management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).

Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary range for this role is $190,000 - $230,000 + equity in the company

Role Overview:
- Own software and computer-system integration for radar platforms and test environments, with a focus on system bring-up, configuration validation, deployment readiness, and root-cause debug
- Act as the Integration and Test team's primary systems-focused engineer for Linux, networking, platform configuration, and software deployment workflows
- Support lab, production, and field integration efforts by ensuring radar systems, support equipment, and test infrastructure are configured correctly and can be debugged quickly when issues arise
Responsibilities:
- Lead software and platform bring-up activities for radar systems, support equipment, and test racks
- Validate end-to-end system configuration across BIOS, storage, Linux services, networking, time sync, container/runtime environments, and deployment tooling
- Troubleshoot and root-cause integration failures involving system configuration, operating system setup, services, permissions, network connectivity, routing, switch configuration, and software deployment
- Debug issues such as incorrect BIOS settings, RAID misconfiguration, Linux service failures, Docker context or permission issues, Azure CLI setup problems, and broken software deployment pipelines
- Own configuration and validation of Linux timing and synchronization services, including chrony, linuxptp, timemaster and related system dependencies
- Support deployment and validation of software configuration stacks, including templated/config-as-code workflows such as Jsonnet-based builds
- Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 networking for lab and system test environments, including host networking, VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and managed switch setup
- Stand up and maintain new test racks and STE environments, including computer systems, networking hardware, timing hardware, and test support infrastructure
- Develop scripts, tools, checklists, and automated validation workflows to quickly identify incorrect system configuration before formal test execution
- Partner with systems, software, firmware, RF, and hardware engineers to isolate faults across subsystem boundaries and drive issues to closure
- Help design, implement, and execute automated test workflows for radar and RF system verification
- Develop and maintain automated UI/end-to-end tests for the radar's on-device web interfaces — exercising all pages and components after software deployment to validate that the UI renders correctly, controls behave as expected, and data flows through to the backend (e.g., browser-driven test frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress)
- Develop and document repeatable integration procedures, debug guides, and test instructions so technicians and engineers can perform setup and troubleshooting consistently
- Support lab and field test events as needed to ensure radar systems are ready for execution and data collection
- Work 4-5 days per week out of our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of experience in systems integration, software integration, test engineering, site reliability, DevOps, lab infrastructure, or a similar technical role on complex hardware/software systems
- Experience with scripting or programming for automation, test, or diagnostics using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting experience in Ubuntu or similar Linux environments
- Experience configuring and debugging Linux services, startup behavior, permissions, users/groups, package dependencies, logs, and system-level networking
- Experience troubleshooting computer system bring-up and platform configuration, including BIOS settings, storage/RAID setup, hardware interfaces, and operating system installation/configuration
- Experience with computer networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, routing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, firewalls, and managed switch configuration
- Experience debugging complex technical issues methodically using logs, command-line tools, packet captures, service status, and system telemetry
- Ability to create clear technical documentation, test procedures, and debug workflows
- Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to work across hardware and software boundaries
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting integration and test for radar systems, RF systems, aerospace systems, defense systems, or other complex electromechanical platforms
- Experience using and configuring RF test equipment or supporting RF verification in lab environments
- Experience standing up and maintaining lab infrastructure, STE, HIL/SIL environments, or production test systems
- Familiarity with containerized software environments such as Docker, container permissions, and deployment/runtime configuration

As a Senior Engineer with a frontend focus, you will lead the development of complex, data-driven user interfaces in Angular or React, with a strong emphasis on state management, data flow, and performance at scale. - Optimize frontend performance, especially around large datasets and real-time updates
- Build reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for both UI behavior and state logic
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong frontend focus
- Deep experience with Angular and TypeScript
- Strong expertise in state management patterns
- Experience building data-heavy, interactive applications (e.g., dashboards, analytics tools)
- Solid understanding of asynchronous data flows, event-driven architectures, and client-side data modeling
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for application support, reporting, or debugging
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and understanding backend data models
- Strong debugging skills across frontend, API, and database layers
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.)
- Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with backend technologies such as Java or Go
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and distributed systems
- Experience with data visualization tools or libraries

If you've worked alongside hardware teams, you know the damage that results from a missed change request or critical context that was never relayed to the right person. Reflow exists to close that gap. We're building the first AI-powered platform purpose-built for hardware product development, one that listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and proactively coordinates across disciplines when things inevitably change.
This is a ground-floor opportunity for a hands-on frontend engineer to shape the user experience of a high-potential product with the support of a parent company leading innovation in engineering and manufacturing.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a frontend engineer who cares deeply about building interfaces that are fast, intuitive, and delightful. The ideal candidate has shipped production React applications and has strong opinions on component architecture and design systems. You should already be using AI coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, or Claude to accelerate your work, with excitement about building the product that finally replaces the spreadsheets and status meetings that hardware teams have been stuck with for decades.
This senior engineer will work alongside our engineering team and head of product to build the interfaces through which users manage structured engineering artifacts (requirements, project plans, dependencies), interact with ambient AI agents, and get real-time transparency into project health across disciplines. The role is hands-on - you will be coding daily while contributing to frontend architecture decisions and helping grow the design system as we scale.
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
● Building production-grade React applications with TypeScript
● Developing and maintaining a shared component library
● Building rich interfaces for structured engineering data: requirements with traceability, phase/gate tracking, dependency graphs, task boards with discipline tags, and version-controlled project plans
● Building interfaces for AI agent interactions including streaming chat, proactive coordination alerts, and AI-generated status summaries and deliverables (proposals, SOWs, reports)
● Implementing portfolio-level dashboards for engineering leaders and executives showing cross-project cost, schedule, and risk
● Writing well-tested code with unit and end-to-end tests
● Collaborating with backend engineers on API integration and client SDK usage
● Contributing to frontend architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices
Technical Requirements
Must Have:
● 5+ years building production web applications, with 3+ years focused on React
● Demonstrated proficiency using AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development
● Expert-level expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript
● Strong experience with component-driven development, design systems, and tools like Storybook
● Proficiency with CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred) and responsive design
● Experience with modern build tools (Vite, esbuild, or similar)
● Understanding of API integration patterns (REST, OpenAPI, generated clients)
● Ability to balance rapid iteration with maintainable, well-tested code
Highly Valuable:
● Have worked in early-stage 0 to 1 startup environments
● Familiarity with hardware development, engineering workflows, or project management processes
● Experience building UIs for AI/LLM-powered features (streaming responses, chat interfaces, structured AI output)
● Familiarity with headless component libraries (Base UI, Radix, Headless UI)
● Background in data visualization or dashboard-heavy applications
● Understanding of authentication/authorization patterns (OIDC, JWT)
● Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress)
● Background in B2B SaaS platforms, project management tools, or technical collaboration products

Compensation & Location
